I have been sick this entire week, and have a huge amount of homework
to get done. I was hoping you all could aid me. (States of matter/
changes of phases Q’s)

I am supposed to list 3 examples for each change of phase. :/

Solid to gas:

1. Dry ice

2. Need idea :/

3. Need idea :/

Gas to liquid:

1. Need idea :/

2. Need idea :/

3. Need idea :/

Liquid to gas:

1. Mist… I think

2. Need idea :/

3. Need idea. :/

4. Need idea :/

5. Need idea. :/

6. Need idea. :/

Solid to liquid:

1. Ice

2. Need idea :/

3. Need idea. :/

Liquid to solid:

1. Ice??

2. Need idea :/

3. Need idea :/

……Now I believe you all have an idea of how clueless I am at the moment. D:

Solid to gas, my teacher always says Moth Balls do that, though it isn't exactly an element. You could find out what moth balls are made of though.

The liquid to gas would be steam, not mist.

solid to liquid wouldn't be ice, it would be water.

hope it helps a little c:

These are really dumb questions. It's phrased really vaguely. You have your right to be clueless. Everything undergoes changes in state provided you have the right temperature. I assume you're supposed to write what they turn into.

Solid to gas
Dry ice to carbon dioxide

Gas to liquid
Nitrogen to liquid nitrogen
Water vapour to water

Liquid to gas
Water to steam

You get what the pattern is? I think if you read through your textbook you should be able to come up with some more ideas. If you can't you have a really dumb textbook. It's supposed to help you learn. Why are textbooks so unhelpful sometimes?

NOTE: never tell you teacher that the question or textbook is dumb (even if its true) because they will think that you are dumb and that is not very good. If you can understand the question, Ask your teacher for help before the deadline. A good teacher would help you understand better.

Thank you both. My brain is hurting.... By the way, Ping, My dog tore my textbook up while I was away quite a while ago... I'm getting so much crap from that teacher since I haven't given him the money for it yet. xD
