Canvacats.com recently opened up their forums so that you can join, learn more about their progress, and et cetera! The more you hang out there the more likely it is that you'll be part of alpha testing in about two weeks - and if you're an alpha tester, you get a special breed of Canvacat that won't be available ever again.

Canvacats are a lot what they sound like. Canvas. Cats. Each breed is based off of something artsy - for instance, pastels, markers, finger-paints, etc. Canvakittens are created by "brainstorming" between two Canvacats, but some cats are artificial and won't be able to have kittens, like your basic starter Canvacat, which you can currently view at the generator!

The layout that's up now is only a splash page, so don't let that turn you away. Their coder, constantLogic, is quite the experienced one, and I guarantee the end result of the site is going to be SUPER.

Furthermore, Canvacats will have stats for battling and catching "familiars". They don't have a for sure name for these yet, but they're your usual mini-pets of the site. Some of them will give stat bonuses to your cats, especially those rare ones!

They have an RPG planned out that will be click by click, so you can still play at work or school, and don't have to worry about your computer slowing down because of Flash or anything, for those of you with slower connections. They have stories set up and goodness knows what else...
