Firstly I'll explain the two classes on rescreatu - Rancher and Merchant. Ranchers focus on hatching and selling pets. They get 3 hatches a day and the ability to run a rancher shop (to sell pets). Merchants focus on selling items. They get 1 hatch a day, a merchant shop (to sell items) and a discount in the NPC shops.
As you said you can only hatch one egg a day I'm assuming you're a merchant. We usually recommend that users start off as ranchers so that they can hatch more pets. If you wish to change to rancher you can go to Preferences > Character Class. You get 4 free changes and after that you will have to buy a class token if you wish to make another change :)
Selling eggs on the Egg Market (under Shops) can be a good way for new users to make tu. It's often a good idea to hunt specifically for the species which can be hatched in achromatic for the month (there are usually 2 findable species hatchable in achromatic each month).
If I were you I'd focus on finding rarer eggs to sell and ignore the most common ones. You can see the rarity of each species by going to Information > Creatu Species. The lower the percentage, the rarer it is.
You can hold on to some of your eggs and hatch them over the next few days. However, they'll turn old after 7 days and spoil after another 7. Each stage decreases the chance of the egg successfully hatching.

As for what to hatch, for now I'd recommend hatching the species you like the most or the ones that can be hatched in achromatic for the current month (as mentioned above). :)
Pets are mostly for collection purposes. There's also a quest called Kir's Quest, which a lot of more experienced users like to entertain themselves with. However this isn't recommended for beginners. It involves handing in a lot of (often rare) pets and can be quite expensive.

As you spend more time on res, you'll find tu (money) easier to obtain. It's always tricky to start with but it does get better I promise :D
There's a lot to spend tu on! Most users like to spend their tu on expanding their pet collections. Other users prefer to collect items. Some users like to take a gamble and buy Cash Shop eggs to hatch, which are a lot more expensive than normal eggs. A lot of tu is also put towards investing in stocks. Many users use stocks as a primary source of income. You can access these by going Games > Skill > Stock Market. If you're interested in using stocks let me know and I can explain how to use them.

Yes, you've come just in time to join in with our Comet Festival! This is where certain pets have the opportunity to get the tle="" target="_blank">Stardust effect! Currently, all creatu from Relcore and Scria can obtain the effect as well as certain Cash Shop creatu. All creatu must be adults to obtain the effect.
If you go to the planet Relcore, some dialogue should pop up which will guide you through the quest. There's an FAQ tle="" target="_blank" style="text-align: -webkit-left;">here to help you with the event but we can't give much away in public areas because of spoilers so if you need more help feel free to Rmail me and I'll help you out!
