Incubated egg disappeared

Hello, 

I incubated a fresh egg yesterday (or, for me, early this morning) without hatching it immediately. For some reason, i clicked later on the hatching button, just to see ; it said that "you already have hatched 3 eggs today" or something like that (ok, right), but when I come back now, the egg is not in my fresh eggs anymore (even if I pick it some hours ago from one of my explorations), I only have 2 hatch tries left and it seems I have no new creature. So, had the hatch failed during the daily reset ? And why did not it wait me to say that ? Is it normal or not ? Thanks.

Eggs become Old after 7 days and no longer show up with the Fresh eggs. It may have aged? To see your Old eggs, there is a dropdown menu in the Hatchery. Instead of Fresh Eggs, select Old Eggs.

Nope, the egg was less than 2 days old. I found it myself by exploring, and according to my registration date, it's not possible it was already old.

Maybe i didn't pay attention to the server time, but @7:00 a.m. french time (so at the daily reset server time) I was sleeping.

Or i stayed on the hatching page, the hatch was done automatically at midnight and failed...
