I just actually took a closer look at the Apple Tree pic today, and noticed a blue penguin thing hanging from the partially-eaten apple toward the lower right. What is it (what kind of creatu is it, if it is one)? XD
The large Creatu is I think a Tesuri, and there is also a little outline of another Creatu in the bottom right corner that appears to be a Kayoki.

Oh gosh, that's a Meiko? O_o I didn't think even in the earlier versions of Res that Meikos were depicted as fuzzy (though I've only been around since V2). I always thought it was a weird Tesuri ('cause the pic is dog-like with wings).
I always loved the little penguin. I've wanted one ever since I first saw the apple tree. That'd be cute. The Apple stealing penguin who doesn't want to let go of his apples. <33

Meiko used to be thought of as basically winged wolves, I think. At least, that's what I always used to hear before they got revamped to look more like dragons. Even the graveyard talks about how Meiko howl.
Though, even back before the revamp, this picture was still a little bit confusing. The official art wasn't exactly fluffy..
Maybe it was just an implied thing that they had fur? They did look wolflike. They just didn't look furry.
