I agree with Shinrai. Plus, I have no time anymore to look for eggs. So I guess I won't be able to use my hatches until the weekend anyway when I'm actually home and not doing homework.

Shin, we aren't sure when the function will come out. It wouldn't make any sense to add it in before the first batch of eggs rotted away though. If pat implemented it right now, then the new feature would pretty much be worthless BECAUSE all of the eggs we have currently.
They want the new feature to give worth to eggs, not make the new feature as worthless as the eggs it needs..it seems bad now, but trust me, it WILL get better soon. There is a well thought out plan behind egg rotting..it has been in production for years now, it's not just something Patrick pulled out on a whim.
If anyone has a lot of eggs that they can't use and don't want to save, I will happily buy them so the users feel like they got something at least out of those eggs.

I guess I'm excited about whatever the surprise regarding the rotten eggs is, but I'm still pretty upset that about the idea that eggs I stocked up on ages ago will now disappear completely within the next 14 days, and that I won't be able to purchase more from the merchant shops, which is how I got the eggs I have..I'm pretty bummed about spending all that money stocking up on creatu eggs now. D:

The food pen issues are still being worked on. You can pick a free apple from the apple tree each day to help in feeding your pets, or you can manually feed the food you would have stocked instead, or you can put them in your showroom temporarily. <3

Hmm, I'm not sure if this has already been asked or answered elsewhere, but there used to be a function where you could change the capitalization of your pet's names, but I don't see it now. Has that been done away with or is there still a way to alter the capitalization of the names?

It's still there, same as usual =) Just go to your profile and click "edit name" under the pet you want to change capitalization for.

I don't know if it's really a glitch, or if we just can't do it anymore, but I can't buy in bulk. It kind of bugs me because I have to buy food one thing at a time, when I'd like to stock up my food pen.../:-(

So there is no way to protect your eggs from becoming rotted? :c
I'd like to at least protect my seasonal eggs.

Eggs Spoiling (or not) in Auctions and Trades?
I've been figuring that time just stands still for eggs when they're in a trade or auction. Even if they don't sell, if they entered fresh, their auction/trade expires and they return to their owner fresh.
But I read someone saying that if a spoiled egg is traded (or auctioned?) and a new person buys it, the egg goes to the new person fresh. Is this true? :I I don't want to experiment and discover that some person pulled one on me. |

I have eggs in my storage so if we cant put eggs in storage anymore then why is there still a category for eggs and will the 1,000 eggs I saved up of one type of egg rot in my storage?

There is still a category because users still had eggs there and it would not be fun to remove the category and make you sift through everything to try and remove the eggs. ;)
