Hm, I just have one question. It's Valentine's Day already, but why is the Iluvu not out? And yes, the revamp is MUCH better O_O

And being a fairly new player, I did not see the first version. It looks like a demented bat.

They won't do anything if you critique it.

All revamps are hated or resented by someone, as they are loved and adored by another. They can never truly win, and they understand this factor.

As long as the talk is reasonable, of course. So far everything seems to be. I think people know what's critique and opinion instead of just bashing and ignorance.

I absolutely love the first version f the iluvu. It's so funny and gremlin like! I with i had one as a real life pet xDD

As for the newer revamps, i do like them. I've always loved iluvus and the artists have dot greats jobs doing them. I adore the teen version and the baby looks a lot better that what it was, although i'm not too sure on is the face of the adult, it doesn't really look iluvu like. If you understand what i mean xD 

However, i'm so glad theyre out in dye kit colours :D I'm sure to collect them all. If only i could have a bushy tail like that :3

Eh. I've never loved or hated the Iluvus either (in exception to my adoration for my own lovelies). I've just liked them. Quite a bit, but not as much as other people might.

I was around during v1, then when v2 came out, I was very pleased with the change, and very impressed back then. The adult Iluvu in v2 seems calmer, more p*censored*ive. It didn't look like the kind of pet that went to the extremes of everything, but a kind of... quiet cuddler. It looked gentle and affectionate, and slightly mischievous in the teen and baby forms, like a little animal version of Cupid. Now, v3 looks louder. When I first saw it, the first thing that came to mind was "Oh no, what've they done? D:". It seemed fine before.

True, the shading has improved to suit Res' style, and the fur looks softer. The art itself is really, rather good. But the legs looked somewhat wrong - not too big or too small, but they seemed to bend in the wrong places, or too much. Not intending to be awkward, but the limbs are the first thing I look at on an animal, and the Iluvu didn't look right at all. I wasn't too bothered by the eyes all that much, but I soon started to realize that one of the favourite characteristics on the v2 Iluvu was the ex
pression in the eyes, and v3 didn't have that ex
pression.

Personally, I found the newest revamp a little... uneeded? In comparison to the Drindian, and then the Murren, Goiba and Aukira, the Iluvu didn't really need one at all. They were reasonably popular before. And maybe they still are - lots of people love the new revamp. But I found it quite uneccessary. The art is nice, but the pet itself doesn't give me the same impression as it did in v2 - positively or negatively, I don't know. But I don't feel like it suits my old Iluvus, Heartblood, Taliim and Apprenticeship. It doesn't suit them so much anymore. Still... maybe I'll grow to like them? I was pleased to find that they had DK colours now. ^^

I like the previous revamp, based solely on the fact it was one of the few canine-like animals we have on res. I absolutely adored the way it was drawn. That was an appealing style to me at the time.

If nothing else, I think the only reason I ever kept playing res is because the first seasonal I ever hatched was a Black Iluvu, which is still in my showroom. I got him about 5 days after I joined, and I loved that pet. Ever since then I had been trying and saving for an albino one so they could clash.

After 71 beans used(Over time, not all at once), I gave up and just bought one from Shika.

I used two tags and a gender pandant to get him just perfect. Then, about a month later, I got a revamp. All the art I had been working on, based on that verson of the iluvu, all the details of my story based around a -canine- was nulled, as now it looks more like a cat than a canine/fox.

I think the revamp is cute and all, but it looks like something an 8 year old might enjoy more than res's target ages of 13+. It's too...cute. I dunno. I just feel like I like the second one more, but I suppose it's all just personal opinion and the hurt from all that hard work being for pretty much nothing.

After the revamp I really had no interest in Iluvu's anymore, I either gave away or sold mine, including my albino at the time.
