Is it just me or are other people getting annoyed with this "Failed attempt at hatching"? I have eggs that are ready to hatch and they have ALL failed so far. I am a merchant and I can't even make money off eggs now. This rule is stupid and not necessary. It takes time for an egg to incubate and we have to wait patiently for what? a failed attempt at hatching. I don't know why this has even been added to rescreatu.

The point of eggs failing is to increase, by whatever small margin, the rarity of pets.

Yes, it is harder to get pets, and harder to make money off of them.  But that is exactly the point.  This is not supposed to be easy - and really, it's not all that difficult even with egg failures.  Sure, you can wait for your eggs to incubate only to have them fail.  But then, that makes it just a bit more special when you do succeed in hatching a pet.

Just try to look at it as another challenge in the game. :)

It is annoying, but necessary. If eggs didn't fail on occasion, there'd be too many pets and prices would go down. Hatch fails, Kir, Xespa/Xoria, and the secondary seasonals are all methods meant to keep too many pets from being in the system and becoming worthless.
Time usually isn't a factor. Most people spend a few minutes to incubate a large batch of eggs in advance.
Plus, you're a merchant, your trade doesn't involve pets anyways, it involves items. You shouldn't be expecting to get much income from pets anyways.
