Did any of you see the new ad, for Virtual Pet Universe?
I have mixed feelings about this; some may go to the forums and be recruited to a new petsite, while some may ignore it, while some may talk crap about Res.
I'm most worried about the first point, that's all. Rescreatu's population is already quite low due to banned accounts, multis, etc. , can we afford to lose more? :U
I'm pretty sure I already knew about Virtual Pet Universe, but I'm pretty much un-biased to it. Sure, Res doesn't have a lot of users, but we've got some damn good ones. People who get recruited and never come back would have left Res sooner or later anyways. Plus, people like me would no doubt click on any Res related topic and defend Res if it's bad. It's also away to recruit a few users to our side as well. It's a double-edged sword, but I don't think it'll be bad for Res.
Hi everyone. I'm the owner of VPU and would like to comment on this.
In all honesty, I think it would only help rescreatu. If users join there, using a signature link to rescreatu and posting, it will only help users on my forum find rescreatu and join it. Only a good thing I think.
I don't think many people at all would join and be recruited to another site as there are only so many options and Rescreatu is a good one.
Anyway, we've seen from previews for V2 I believe and it looks excellent so I don't think you have anything to worry about. So far Patrick has gained a lot of interest from members over his previews of V2 and I think Rescreatu will grow m*censored*ively when it releases this!
