Sometimes the user coding and custom styles on profiles makes it hard to read user information, navigate the website, and can even keep moderators from having easy and ready access to certain tools. Even though it's not intentional, it can still become a problem at times. One solution would be to completely disallow HTML and CSS in the user profiles. While this would fix a lot of issues, a more popular solution for this particular one, would be to add a special button to make everyone happy.
So without further ado, I give you the button.
Click once to remove user styles
Ctrl + Click to remove everything and show a generic profile
Click Again to revert back.
It works in Chrome and Firefox!
- To install in Chrome, right click on [DIRECT] or [INSTALL] and 'Save link as...'
- You can save it as anything you want, as long as the filename ends with '.user.js'
- Open a new tab (Ctrl + T) and browse to 'chrome://extensions'
- Drag the '.user.js' file from where you saved it to your computer onto the Chrome Browser, then onto the Chrome Extensions tab, and then into the middle of your browser.
The button gets added to the Top-Left corner of your browser
