My Paw, Larry. He was an amazing man, father, grandfather, husband, mentor, and friend. Even at the very end his biggest concern was making sure his youngest child, my aunt, was getting the help she needed to deal with his passing.

He knew he was dying before anyone else did, and he spent the year prior to his death making personalized DVDs with a history of videos and pictures of our families taken over the years since he had been in his twenties - for every child and grandchild in the family.

His funeral was the most beautiful event I have ever been to. It was a celebration of his life in addition to mourning his passing. Rather than having only the eulogy, family members shared memories, we laughed, we cried, we hugged, and we loved. ♥

I'm really glad you're showing such love and emotion for this, Moo. Love and sympathy for all those with surviving and those who've passed relatives. <3

Well, breast cancer does run in my family. On my dad's mother's side and my great grandmother died from it, so could you put the name Cleo up on your BreastCancer pet page?

Thank you so much for this. This is a fantastic idea, Moo. :)

My grandpa (Grand-Papa Serge) who died at the age of 63, five years ago, from something similar to lung cancer. I find it so unfair. He was such a good man, who loved life ... and gave a meaning to mine! <3

I lost my mother, Mimi, to ovarian cancer when I was five.  Her sister, Gail, died from the same sickness a few months before her.  I was too young to understand at the time, so I simply accepted the glamorizing stories I was told about her to be the whole truth.  Now, I find myself faced with the task of piecing together the puzzle of who she really was: a troubled, beautiful, and complex human being.  Anything that serves as a way to further cement her memory in this world is a way of keeping her alive.  Thank you for doing this Moo123:)

You're welcome, guys. ;3;

~Mimi's name will go up on BreastCancer's pet page, because it's more female-based. <3
