I'm not sure you can use texture packs with the free version of the game. But they are a lot of fun and make the game more enjoyable visual-wise.
I downloaded the game again and I was very pleased to find that it runs smoothly without having to use a mod to get the best performance out of it. XD; So, it's cool.

I love minecraft and play it dayly. Id love to also be able to download mods... but i dont know how. Does any one know?

All posts on that thread were dated way back in 2010, but there should be some good steps within it to help you out. It will probably require you to do a bit of reading. Just letting you know.
Also, if all else fails, there are youtube tutorials and other guides possibly on the internet somewhere. Remember, Google is your friend. ;)

i play the xbox eddition and im waiting for the update for creative mode so I can make an obsidian city. I love watching minecraft be played on youtube ( go yogscast! + H.U) and it is seriously addictive. I love it for the adventure and so I can put my creativity to use :)

I as well play on the Xbox one as well. :3 I love it. I made a huge cobble house. 2 stories, has an Italian flag, and has redstone wiring. :3 Then the top floor, is made with sandstone, with lapis blocks and lit with glowstone. :3 I love it x3 My boyfriend helps with some stuff. :'3 But I built it. And then I have a couple paths lined out and I have a crap ton of TNT C8
And :D Yay I'm not the only one who watches people play xD I'm still only watching the Mindcrack Server. But then again that's because I started getting into Minecaft through Guude and BdoubleO xD

i also have been watching sip a sjin, but only there tekkit. do you watch slyfoxhound?
he is also a great youtuber and is very funny on homiecraft (his fan base are called homies and i am proud to call myself a homie :)) also to jesslovesluke07, you house sounds so totally awsome! I think the mix of cobble and standstone is brilliant and
i tend to make my homes out of the stuff. my last home (wood) was burned down because of my mad attack with the flint+tinder XD

I've heard of slyfox. I think he was with Simon and Lewis on one of their custom map adventures. I haven't seen any of his videos though. I haven't watched Sips and Sjin's Tekkit yet, but I'm getting there. :p
I haven't built much of a house on my game. XD; I should probably get to work on that, ahaha. Your house sounds really cool, Jess. :3 <3 |

I tried playing sky block and within 5 minutes I accidentally turned my lava into obsidian. I tried again and about a half hour later the same thing happened. The third time I lost all the saplings. This time I'm doing pretty well, and have gotten a few hours in. I lucked out and a chicken spawned. I think "ALRIGHT! I should get an egg just to be safe" The chicken then goes to the edge and lays the egg, which falls into the void. Shortly after the chicken killed itself on my cactus.
...Just thought I would share that, I didn't really have a point I was getting to with any of this XD

xD I'm sad to say I didn't get into the Hermicraft** I want to. :c
So I'm not a fan of them xP
But I do want to watch Hermicraft and watch IamSp00ns and GenerikB xD
But I'm a Mindcracker. And not a Hermit yet. -shot- :3 But I love Minecrack. And I wish I could find other fans of it ;3;
EDIT: HAHAHAHA First should be Yogsicast xD Not Hermicaft.

first of alll, dragon 393: my freind made a sky block and I did the same thing with the lava, its just an ocupactional hazard XD. but skyblock is awsome :)
to jesslovesluke07 : you just need to be a fan of slyfox to become a homie, to show others you subscribe, like or comment.
And lastly I have a somthing to never do in minecraft (that I HAVE done on countless ocations) :

xD It tells you not to dig directly down. Unless you do what Etho does. -shot- You'd have to see his videos to understand.
But ...don't hug Creepers...Awwww :c -shot- Etho talks to creepers in his Lets play. xD And it's hilarious I think his name was General Spazz maybe...Not sure xD

Almost finished with Sips and Sjin's first season of playing Minecraft. XD; Just 3 more episodes to go.
By the way, Dragon, that sounds pretty intense. Being on a sky block and such. Ahaha.
So, for some reason, my skin that my boyfriend made me a long while ago disappeared, and I had to download an older skin he made me to compensate for it. XD; Don't know what happened. Also got some nice texture packs, so it's going pretty great. Still haven't advanced within the game though. I tend to play it better with other people. Lol. |

Etho's youtube is Ethoslab. c: -loves that guy- To see his way of digging down, you'd have to see his UHC Episodes 1-6 (I think it's 6...)
But his Let's Play I'm waaaaaay behind :| I need to restart and don't know when he talks to the Creeper...but he gets stuck in a door trap he made xD -shot-

sounds awsome, oh and btw did you know you can make someone even slower if you put soul sand on top of ice (i think thats right) but im not completely sure if its ice or somthing else, pritty sure though.

Yes. xD It's Ice. Ice is slippery so that and Soul Sand will make them very slow. While Ice and wood, would make you go faster. c:
