"I don't  need friends," Aiden snapped angrily, too annoyed by the other girl's manner to feel guilty about her harsh words. "And it's not my fault you're telling me I smell like magic. Is that code for something? If you're in any kind of gang, I don't want in. I've had it with those." 

"Bus is coming." Aiden glanced up at the girl, the green flash fading before her eyes as suddenly as it had come. "And you know how...?" Aiden began in a scornful voice, but that soon faded away when the tell-tale rumble of an engine cut through the air. "Lucky," she grumbled under her breath while hitching her bag up higher on her shoulder. Looking around herself to make sure she wouldn't leave anything behind, Aiden stepped closer to the end of the road. "Guess it is coming now," she said with grudging admiration. The girl had been right, at any rate.  

Bickering filled the air around the uneasy children, making the tension grow thicker, Cecelia thanking anything and everything when the bus came. Finally, they could just be at the school, no more tedious wating. It seemed as though Lia's arrival had been unnoticed, which was fine by her, the ground rumbling under her feet as the large bus pulled up. The doors hesitantly squeaked open, obviously an old thing, this vehicle. A couple of bags dangled off of her limbs, and she patiently shuffled towards the doors to their new futures, as all the others did, one of her packages thumping up against her side angrily. In return, Celia bumped it on the door as she entered the bus, hoping that would shut the small animal up for at least a while. Scooting closer to the back, the girl chose a seat a couple of rows from the rear of the bus and placed the majority of her bags under the seat, keeping one bag on her lap.

She pulled a hair band off of her wrist, casually putting her hair up in a very sloppy bun, a couple of wavy tendrils escaping the hold of the elastic band in her hair. Unzipping the bag carefully, Lia removed a pair of faded grey-blue skinny jeans, standing up and facing the back wall of the bus, placing the bag on her seat and the jeans on top of her bag. Knocking her elbow on the window a few times because of lack of space, the girl shimmied out of her skirt, revealing spandex underneath, and gingerly folded the pink fabrics. Getting into the skinny jeans was another challenge all on its own, and she sighed, facing the opposite window, trying to get some leg room. After a couple of tight squeezes, the pants were on, not going terribly well with her gypsy top [as she wasn't wearing spanex underneath that], but Lia reminded herself it could be worse. Gently untying the veil around her face, she folded that too, tucking it inside her skirt and sealing the duffle bag, satisfied.

OoC; A long post in which nothing happens, other than that she changes her pants.

Taylor hitched her bag on her shoulder and Maksis pulled his backpack on his back. Shadow waited for Taylor to board the bus before following. Maksis got on behind her. Shadow clambered into one of the bus seats and sat on the soft cushion of the bus. "These buses are top of the cla.ss for a school," he noted and Taylor shrugged as she took a seat next to him. She slid her back underneath her chair to give herself more leg room.

Turning away pointedly from Artemis, Aiden made her way up the steps into the bus and picked her way carefully down the aisle. As she made her way towards the back she noticed one girl sitting unobtrusively in what looked like an odd mixture of regular street clothes and a costume. "Hi," she said quietly, stopping by that particular seat. "Do you mind if I sit here?"

Looking at the girl once more Aiden finally figured out that the girl wasn't wearing a costume. She seemed perfectly comfortable in the shimmering, almost floating top. The jeans seemed more like an after-thought. When curiosity came over Aiden, she couldn't help herself. "Is that your usual dress?" she asked, still standing awkwardly in the aisle.
