Ace nodded"yup."She then wondered if Summer knew where the room she was looking for was.She then asked"would you happen to know where room 226 is?".She briefly paused and waited for Summer's responce to her question.

((My brain is running outta ideas for Josh so..))

Vance looked at Summer innocently.

"Hah, no thanks, blue isn't really my color, and pink definitely isn't," He laughed, smirking. "I got sent here because I like to light stuff on fire." He rolled his eyes. "I don't see what's so bad about that. So, I set my lawn on fire and a few other things. No big deal, right?" Vance meant the question to be rhetorical and shrugged, staring back down at his lighter.

"Oh, and that's why I'm not supposed to have these," He waved his lighter around with another grin. "Guess they're afraid I'll light the place on fire... Believe me, I'm tempted."

Ember swallowed tentatively before opening her mouth to squeak out a greeting to the tall boy at the opposite end of the hall.

"Are you, um... looking for something?" She asked, shocked at the sound of her own voice. It sounded so weak and frightened, but at least she'd spoken to another human being. It had been too long.

Josh nodded and said"yeah a room."He wondered where the room could possibly be in the building.He twiddled his little fingers.

Ace laughed"You got sent here for playing with fire?how ironic,so did i."Ace smiled.She remembered all to well the beautiful scene of a burning house.

"What room?" Ember asked, her voice still barely over a whisper. "I could probably... show you the way... or something."

"Really?" Vance said, his eyes lighting up. Maybe he would finally have someone to relate to. "Isn't fire so amazing?" He smiled.

"yes,especially when the burning ob
ject was a half million dollar house." Ace said grinning.She'd treasure the moment her parenst came home and their house was nothing but ash.

Josh told her the room."You wouldn't happen to know where that'd be would you?" he asked.Josh preffered not to talk to people but would when he needed something.

"I might just have to take you up on that offer," Vance laughed. "Do you just order whatever you want? You think the security here would be tighter, but they seem rather stupid." He looked completely serious when he called them stupid, but he wasn't disapproving of their lack of intelligence at all.

"Don't worry though, I wouldn't burn the place down with people in it," Vance paused for a moment in though. "Well, not with any of us in it, anyway. Maybe with the staff inside. No one would miss them much." He laughed again then looked at Ace, wide eyed. "You burned your whole HOUSE?" He grinned. "NICE!"

Ember thought for a moment before remembering exactly where the room was. She nodded wordlessly and motioned for the boy to follow her into the next hall.

Ace shook Summer's hand"i hope you don't mind me being around."She didn't want to be a nuicense.

Josh followed Ember slowly into the next hall.He was suprized to see three other people chatting and sitting by each other.

((Argh,i had not idea what to post my brain's on the frits.))

"Um, well, that's your room there," Ember pointed to a room near the middle of the hall. "I'm pretty sure you'll be sharing it with Vance, that boy with red and orange hair." She bit her lip, staring up at Josh. He was nearly a foot taller than her and it was a bit intimidating.

"I'm Ember, by the way," She said, her voice once again quiet and unsure of itself.

"i'm Josh nice to meet you." Josh said holding out a hand and figuring she'd shake it.It was alright with him if she didn't though.He gave a friendlya nd reas.suring smile.

Ace smiled and said to Summer"don't worry i'm not too wierd."She hoped she coudl really prove that.Her baggy jeans were threatening to fall down.

Vance laughed and said to Ace, "You might want to think about getting a belt."

Ember gave a small, quick smile back that she wasn't even sure Josh had caught. She bit her lip and awkwardly shook Josh's hand.

"Nice to meet you too," She said, brushing her bangs out of her face and smiling a bit more.

"i had one but since it had the little metal spikes on it they refused to let me keep it." ace said frowning.she didn't enjoy being laughed at.

Josh caught the smile and said"Maybe we'll get to hang out later.But for now i'll go meet my roommate."He walked slowly over to the group of kids that were sitting and talking and asked"which of you would happen to be in room 246?".he wondered even if eh'd like it there.He flexed and his pink scars from cutting popped out and were as visible as his black hair.

"Oh, wow, that sucks," Vance laughed. He quickly looked up when another boy approached and asked about his room. Vance looked him over, wondering if this was his new roommate. At a first glance, he seemed like he'd be an okay guy. "That's my room. I'm Vance."

Ember stood silently at the end of the hall, contemplating on whether or not to approach the group of people. She started seeing things move in the corner of her eye again and she started to panic. She quickly decided that safety could be found in numbers, even if she didn't like large groups of people anymore. She hurried over before the shadowy forms she kept seeing could follow her.

"I'm Josh...so i guess we're roomates?" Josh said calmly.He wasn't sure if he shoudl shake hands or just use the simple guy talk.

Ace smiled"you're new to i am guessing,i'm Ace."She gave Josh a cocky grin.

Josh looked down at ace.Wierd...when did a girl decide guy clothing was the style?oh well it was none of his business.So he just said"nice to meet you Ace."

"Yeah, nice to meet you," Vance said, reaching up to shake his hand from his position on the floor. "You'll probably have some things to get used to, but other than that, I think things will go pretty smoothly."

Ember cleared her throat as she approached the group to make herself known. She didn't really know what to say and she soon realized that becoming social again was going to take a lot of work.

"I'm Ember..." She introduced herself nervously.
