Makari walked slowly at all the new students, including Chira. That girl is going to be happy that she can finally train, she thought. "Welcome, students, to the School of the Arts. None of you are artists in the traditional sense," at this she allowed a small smile. "But you all have talent. Here you will learn how to be a ninja, but that is not what the modern society thinks anymore. We use any and all of the weapons available, and we have skills that our enemies can only imagine-- until they meet us, that is. Follow me." She turned on her heel and strode into a medium-size building. The School of the Arts.

Chira was giddy with excitement. She was finally going to train! She listened to Makari's speech with half an ear, having heard it already, and followed her into the hall. She noticed the familiar rooms, but others were always shut. She couldn't wait for clas.ses tomorrow.

Name: Yaori Kitsune

Age: 17

Looks: Yaori stands at only 5.4" tall, but she makes up for her short height with her immense speed and agility. She has pale, almost sallow, skin that is unblemished except for the long scar on her left shoulder from a shuriken. Yaori's hair is a dark red-gold, reaching to her knees. She typically wears it up in a long braid with two lengths of hair hanging to the sides. Her eyes are dark grey with pale gold and black flecks in them. She usually wears black skinny jeans and a pale green tank-top. Her hair is tied with a thin black silk ribbon.

Personality (optional): Yaori is very dedicated and shy, preferring to blend into the background. She's very quiet but never fails to voice her opinion, though it tends to get ignored. Yaoria is not often praised but occasionnally she is. 

History (optional):

Other (Where you came from, so on and so forth.): Yaori comes from a small rural village in the middle of nowhere.

Chira noticed how everybody was studying the surroundings that she knew by heart, and noticed that there was only one other girl, and the rest were guys. Makari was still talking, but that was because she was describing the rooms, which she had lived in for years. There was one really creepy guy, with claws and a deranged look. I'm going to watch out for that one, she thought, perhaps unfairly, but she had to watch her back now.

He's less crazy here than he usually is, though. He's actually schizophrenic, among a few other things. xD))

Eithen, feeling a pair of eyes on him, turned his head to stare at one of the two girls that were there, tilting his head slightly. Was she staring at him, thinking he was weird? Or psychotic? Or a little off his rocker?

He grinned. He knew he wasn't exactly right in the head, and he knew others knew this, too. He wasn't about to use that as a crutch to hobble through the school, gaining sympathy.

Actually, screw sympathy. He could care less.

Chira saw the one with the claws turn and look at her, and she looked away quickly. She had always been told she was easy to read, even though that was starting to change now. There was another boy, one with a blindfold, and yet another with swords. The one with swords was nice looking, she guessed. For now. They would all leave with their fair share of scars from this program.

Makari finished up, and, knowing they weren't listening, threw in an extra bit. "And there will be a little bit of a test on this tour. You will all be blindfolded, and need to find a... person. You will recieve further instructions tomorrow." She took them all up to their rooms on the second floor.

Shou frowned slightly. That sounded like a very strange test. Not that it mattered what kind of test she threw at him. He'd show her and everyone else that he wasn't to be messed with. He pulled off his headphones and turned them off, letting them hang around his neck. He was still observing the students. It seemed odd that there were very few females in the group. He'd seen plenty of kunoichi through his life to know not to underestimate them, but apparently this generation of females lacked motivation.

"You will each have your own rooms. If you need food, come down to the hall at seven." Her eyes flashed dangerously. "And trust me on this, if you haven't learned not to trust anyone yet, you will learn new things this year. None of you are the best. But you will be." She turned and walked down the hall.

Chira walked into her room and dropped her stuff on the floor, and then flopped onto the bed and stared at the ceiling. Perhaps tomorrow she would visit the fighting room...

Chira felt herself drifting off to sleep, even though she wasn't tired. Why had Makari said not to trust anyone...? They were in a school of ninjas, so that was obvious. Wait, she needed to brush her teeth and stuff before she fell asleep! She tried to get up off her bed, but her limbs felt like lead, and there was a wierd tint to the room... No! That was a sedative gas, not her eyes. She struggled to stay upright, but slumped back against the wall, unconscious.

Makari was in her office, watching the seconds tick by. Any moment now, the students would be unconscious and the test could begin...

((By the way, the unconsciousness is part of the storyline, so you can say they fell asleep or do it like Chira. Either way. :) Not trying to control the charries, either.))
