Alexis backed up with anger. "I'm sorry, Chance!" She yelled, running down the shore line away from both of them. She didn't know what else to do. She didn't know how to help him. As she thought to herself, she kept running until she reached a small pond. Throwing her hand out in front of her, she cleared part of the pond. Throwing herself down onto the sand, she put her head in her hands and thought about what she did. Anger filled her body.

Lilith chased Alexis to the small pond, This is all my fault! She thought. "Alexis wait!" she shouted, when she reached the pond she stuck her hands in it. The pond seemed to heal wounds! She picked up a small hollow half of a piece of fruit and tried to find her way out of the forest. She walked and walked still there was no sign of the way out of the forest, it seemed almost as if the paths were changing. She sighed tired and confused. She sat down next to a small tree and drifted into a deep sleep. She dreamed of the small island it was like she was replaying her memory. Suddenly she remembered the small red beady eyes that lingered at the opening of the forest. She awoke staring at the misty sky suddenly she realized there were the same red eyes from the dream, but they were looking at her she heard footsteps it was coming closer. Then she ran as fast as she could she didn't know where she was going but it had to be better then where she was now.

I get so busy with work that I forget to check this. I will remember from now on though. -determined-))
After Alexis sat down in the sand for awhile, she made her way back to Chance and Lucile. It was starting to get pretty dark out and she managed to find Chance. As she made her way towards him, she didn't see Lucile at all; where had she gone? Thinking, she was about to ask Chance, but he was too weak. "Hey Chance, I know I just got here, but I need to find Lucile. Please be careful..." She begged and darted off into the forest. "Lucile!" She yelled, listening to her feint yells echo throughout the forest. |

Lucile heard Alexis, "Where are you?" she said. She saw Alexis, "Alexis we NEED to get out of here, NOW!" she yelled. She was so confused and scared. Overwhelmed by the fear that had grown so big it was practically consuming her.

"No, we can't yet. We need one of those fruit. They can help Chance, I know they can!" She said, looking around for one of the mysterious fruit that they had found earlier. Finally finding one, she grabbed it and looked to Lucile. "Okay, we need to get to Chance now." She said, taking Lucile by the hand and started to head back to the shore line.

Lucile followed Alexis, "Do you know the way out?" she asked looking at the jungle floor. She poured some of the water they had found in the river into the stronger hollow half of the fruit. Thinking of the strange glowing eyes and her confusing dream.

"Yeah." She replied, thinking too hard to talk right now. She stopped and listened carefully, hearing the water. The way the waves moved back and forth in the ocean. She followed the sound and they had finally arrived there. "See? Now where is that boy at." She demanded, looking then finding his weak body. "Will you give the fruit to him? He probably doesn't want me to go near him anymore." She said, sadly.

She looked at Alexis, "I'm sorry this is all my fault." she said walking down the shoreline to where Chance was when they walked into the forest. I hope he's not as mad any more, well at least I hope he's feeling better. She thought feeling the golden untouched sand.

Alexis watched Lucile and hoped that the fruit would cure Chance. As she kept her distance, she started to throw rocks into the ocean, listening to the bloop sound that they would make. She smiled with each bloop. Getting bored, she wanted to be in the water more than anything right now, but she waited for the healing process to start.

Chance looked over at Lucile and looked back down to his hands. He was now laying down in the cool sand. His breathing was still rough, but calming down. Still weak, and not willing to talk. He shifted over to his side and let out a loud sigh.

Alexis was starting to get impatient and walked towards the two. "Chance, I know you probably don't want my help, but I'm here for you." She said, still feeling slightly embarrassed for doing this to him. "Okay, Lucile. Let's make him better."
