Niccolai frowned, looking utterly upset that the polar bear had been destroyed. He quickly began to gather up the water from the melted sculpture, his face, usually smiling and happy, full of his concentration. His brows furrowed, and he sighed softly as he moved it around to recreate his sculpture, looking over to his friend as if to ask his help again. He had quite his polar bear, and the way it had stood in the cave. This time, though, he did not make a polar bear. Instead, his water took the shape of a water serpent, sharp teeth bared in a roar as he threw his head to the side. The Russian male smiled gently at Sable, his pretty blue eyes almost matching the element under his control. He actually rather liked dragons of all kinds, though Asiatic-looking ones were his favorite. They were so magnificent and graceful! |

"Oh snap..." Sable murmured as he watched the poor polar bear melt, the blood leaving his already pale face and making him look even whiter. He nervously glanced over at Niccolai to see his reaction, flinching at the upset look on the Russian's face. The "death" of his polar bear didn't seem to stop Niccolai for very long, as the other male was soon creating another water statue for him to free. Sable glanced at Niccolai, unable to help but smile shyly at the look he was given before focusing on freezing the water with his wind powers once again. This time, it only took a few moments for him to gather his energy and freeze the statue in the same manner as before. He smiled at the result: a beautiful yet dangerous looking ice dragon statue. Quickly, he pulled out his camcorder again, turning it on to take a picture of the statue. That way, if Jake burnt it down again, he'd at least have a photo. His camcorder made a small noise as it took the picture and he took a moment to inspect the result. The picture looked great. The light reflecting off the ice made it almost shine, and the picture had captured that perfectly. Satisfied, he shut it down and returned it to his bag, giving Niccolai a small smile. If this was in fact real, he'd give Niccolai a copy of the photo once they returned home.

Sybil smiled at the young men's new statue. "Lovely!" she enthused. "You two are a good team! Now, if you will, please join us and ask your questions."

Niccolai looked over at Sable with a wide grin, moving over so they could make their way to the group together. Wind and water together made ice, and ice could be used as a weapon. While not very threatening on their own, together they would be a threat. They could injure when together, which meant they could protect! And water was always present, be it in the air or otherwise, and air itself was always present as well. "Um... We are in a new world, da?" he asked, tilting his head slightly. He then gave a little smile. Haha. He was such a friendly person. |

Sable nodded shyly when Niccolai smiled at him, making his way towards the group and settling down in a comfortable looking spot, his camcorder's bag resting in his lap. He listened to Niccolai's question, then Professor Sybil's answer before slipping into his own thoughts. She still hadn't said why they were here. This all seemed too odd to be just a random field trip. He glanced down at his feet, thinking once again about The Fool card. It certainly didn't tell of a nice simple Field Trip. The most danger from one of those was usually getting forgotten left behind. Something else was up, he could tell, but he didn't have a way to ask.
