Matthew's heart leaped inside. It wasn't much, but...

She said my name.

The whole thing was stupid. It really was.

But she said my name.

"It's all right, Jeth," he said nonchalantly, outwardly hiding his glee.

He headed towards first hour, gym.

Lindsay smiled at Karrienne. She yelled after her, "I'll be there." Lindsay clumsily gathered her books and walked to clas.s. First hour Spanish.

Eli came back to school after half an hour. He was feeling less flamey. Less angry with himself. Now he was just confused. I need to step up. I need to DO something. Eli sat, thinking. Suddenly, he remembered the girl from earlier. The car door slammed and shoes pounded quickly to his cl*censored*room. He was sure she was in it, he had seen her somewhere before. English cl*censored*. His favorite.

"Hey," he said from behind her, sitting at his diagonal-behind-to-the-right desk. "I... I'm sorry." His eyes were hard. Solid.

((The bell just rung. The characters got acquainted before the bell. The are currently walking to cl*censored*.

Just jump in whenever.

Lindsay is in Spanish. Matthew is in PE. The others haven't posted their characters first period yet.))

((Alright. Time skip.))

Matthew was deeply concentrated on his ping pong paddle as he sauntered over to A lunch. A look of frustration was on his face, for he could never seem to reach 127 bounces in a row. It was always 126, or 125. Every single time.

He continued bouncing the ball as he sat down at the jock table, a McDouble in hand. Even as he was eating, one hand was ping pong-ing.

Lindsay walked over, and sat down a few chairs away from Matthew. She didn't look at him. She just ate her mutated-looking hot dog.

Matthew smiled when Lindsay walked over, and said, "Hey, what's up?"

Lindsay kept eating her hot dog.

Karienne stared up at the clock as she waited for the bell to ring. She started moving things into her bag, the teacher was about to say something when the bell rang. She jumped out of her seat and was the first one out the door. She hurried through the halls and pushed her way through the swarm of kids making their way to cl*censored* or lunch.

She quickly opened her locker and shoved her bag inside. She pulled out some money from her backpack and grabbed an apple from the top shelf of her locker. She tossed it up once and smiled, before closing her locker. She turned to see Jethro coming up with his backpack slung over one shoudler.

"W*censored*up Kare." He said as he came to stand beside her. "Hungry." She said as she started to walk towards the cafeteria. "You know you were really mean this morning Kare." Jethro said as he fell into step with his friend. "Whats its matter to you Jeth." She said walking backwards and looking at him. She turned to push open the doors to the caf. "Hey Jeth, do me a favour. But me a hot dog and some potatoe wedges."

"I though you didn't eat meat." He said as he took the money from Karienne. "Oh no, I only eat chicken, hot dogs and bacon." She scanned the lunch room and saw her new friend from this morning sitting by herself. "I'll be over there. Thanks bud." She said before she turned to walk towards the girl. A few people stopped her and toldd her to sit with them but she turned them down. As she neared the table she noticed Matthew had gotten there too. Well isn't it my lucky day...She thought o herself. She sighed and made her way over. "Hey What's up Lindsay. Mind if I sit with you?" she asked as she slid in next to the girl putting her apple on the table.

She looked at Matt for a moment before turning her attention back to the younger girl.

"Not at all," Lindsay smiled back, glad she had made a friend.

Matthew turned his head towards Karrienne, and arched an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. The cheerleader from that morning trotted over, and, after glaring at Karrienne, smiled at Matthew.

"Hey, Matt..." She bleated.

Matthew paid her no attention. He just looked at Karrienne, a quizzical smile on his face.

((Man, I have to say Heart even if this is completely out of the blue I am soo glad you're back. No one I know ever roleplays anymore and there are just no good plots now-a-days. This is probably the only rp im in right now. Well that and I have topost a bio on the other fnatasy high school one oyu started XD))

"Cool." Kairenne said as she turned to look around her. Matt was looking at her an eyebrow raised. She was just about to flip in off when some cheerleader came up and started talking to him. She shook off the glare to girl had given her, she wasn't gonna interfere, she could have Matthew all to herself.

Jethro made his way over tray to with two plates in hand. He walked over to the jock table and saw the girl from earlier there trying to talk to Matt, but the boy wasn't listening he was looking over at the other table at Kari, or at least he *censored*umed it was Kari, he didn't think Matt was the type to go after little girls. He walked over and clapped the boy on his back. "You checking out my sister?" he said to Matthew before he looked at the girl. "Hi Becky." He said before walking over to Karienne and Lindsay's table. He placed the plate of potato wedges and the hot dog infront of her. "Here you go Kare."

She looked up when he put the food down. "You gonna join us?" she asked as she put a wedge into her mouth. He shook his head, and smiled, his dimples showing. "Nah I'll think I'll p*censored*. What do you think people will think with me sitting here with you and this little girl."

She raised an eyebrow at the last part. "So in other words you'de rather sit with your rowdy jock friends?" she said. He grinned. "You know me so well." he said as he turned to head back to the other table. She shook her head and waved at some of the guys before turning back to Lindsay. "You want one?" she asked sliding to plate of wedges nearer to the girl.

Lindsay took a wedge, but she was frowning.

Little girl? I will bite his freaking head off.

But she just frowned, and ate her potato wedge.

Matthew laughed. "I am not checking out your sister. That's gotta be breaking some unsaid rule...." He looked at her still though.

Jethro shook his head. "Now, there is a rule but because she's not really my sister the rule doesn't count." He said as he grabbed some fries from someone elses plate. He looked over at MAtthew he was still watching. "Hey bud, take a picture it last longer." he said clapping the boy on his back. "Plus if Karienne catches you watching she'll flip you off. He said smiling.

Karienne noticed Lindsay's frown. "Hey don't mind Jethro. He's just like that. If you younger than him you're considered a child." she said as she took a bite of her hot dog. "I'm not even joking."

Matthew sneered at Jethro. "Can't blame me for trying. I like her for... the right reasons. She's different. She's... refreshing." Matthew still looked at Karrienne, but not only occasionally, and out the corner of his eye.

Lindsay smiled. "Yeah, it's fine. I just... get that from a lot of people."

Annika had a sandwhich in one hand and a binder in the other. Seeing a few people she recognized from clas.ses she walked over to their table, "Hello" she said quietly, in a thick mixed accent, can I sit here?" She shifted awkwardly as she waited for a response.

Ryder sat on a bench outside and listened to his music. Alexisonfire. His favourite non-screamo band. The music was blaring. Even from his overly large black and red Skullcandy headphones, anyone walking within a few feet of him wouldb be able to hear it.

Matthew eyed Jethro. "No, she's different. She really is. These cheerleaders... Care about the stupidest things. But she seems... better. You wouldn't understand. If I just wanted beauty, I'd go with Megan. I know she hates me, but I don't hate her. So I can happily crush and never reach my goal. Fine by me." Matthew smiled, lovestruck in a meer matter of hours.

Lindsay looked unphased. "Every day of my life, pretty much. People see me as... younger. And it p's me off. But oh well." She pushed her hotdog to the side.
