{Cameron "Cam" Heffer}
December twenty-second. Cameron awoke in her bed just like any other day, little did she know that it would be the last for a while. After stretching, Cam left the comfort of her bed for the comfort of a warm shower. She nearly ran down the hallway; the floorboards seemed freezing to her bare feet.

After taking a long, warm shower, Cameron got dressed. Today sh.e wore a cozy grey-brown sweater depicting a cartoon brown fox with 'hipster' style glasses, a black almost knee-length skirt, beige leggings that matched the fox, and black ankle boots with studded wraps. After that, Cam brushed through her naturally straight hair, and went downstairs.

The first level of Cameron's home was well decorated with items her mother and father had collected throughout their years of myth hunting. On the wall near the telephone was a list of all the conspiracies, legends, and myths that were supposed to occur on each day. It was a habit for Cam to check this list before she got her breakfast. There was nothing for today, but tomorrow was supposed to be the coming of the 'Rainbow Prophecy'.

"Pfft... That'll come true... Just like it did last year."  Cam thought, opening the cupboard to look for her box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Her parents had talked and talked about it last year, the year before that, the year before that, and so on. This year, they were oddly quiet about it. This was good for Cam; over the years she had grown tired of hearing about the Prophecy.

Pouring herself a glass of milk, Cameron put it in the microwave for thirty seconds. She would used this milk to pour on her cereal. Once it was done, Cam made herself a bowl of cereal and sat down at the table. As she poured the warm milk into the bowl, Cam took out her phone and looked at her daily to-do list:

To Do; December 22:
  • Shop for last minute Christmas gifts!
  • Read required reading for twenty minutes.
  • Put together the Christmas Eve dinner shopping list.

Sighing, Cameron quickly finished her cereal. She wanted to beat the rush of other last minute shoppers. Of course, she had already done the Christmas shopping for her parents, now she just needed a few things for her friends. Christmas was one of Cam's least favorite holidays, mostly because she felt obligated to get something for everyone. She was also forced to spend time with family, listening to stories she's heard time and time again.

Grabbing her winter coat, and her beige cross body purse, Cameron set off for the local shopping mall.

((I am still. Sorry about the delay. Recently I've been having to be out the house a lot to run errands and we've gotten a new kitty who is quite the keyboard cat/attention hog so it's not only difficult to focus on reading something without him butting in, but he tries to step on the keyboard a lot of times so it's hard to type out anything.))

(( Lol, sorry, I just finished taking finals in school but I still have one more week left -.- Anyway heres my intro ^^ ))

Taylor woke up in her worn out bed and then began freezing. She hated this cold weather. Taylor looked at the calander above her bed, December 22nd. Tomorrow would be the 23, and that meant the Rainbow Prophecy would be revealed. Despit all the years she had been disapointed and never saw the Rainbow Prophecy come true, Taylor knew she would be staying up late as she did every night at that time of year. If this didnt come true, she would give up all faith she had in the prophecy. She then got out and went out of her bedroom and soon chaos began in the living room downstairs. Almost of all of the little kids were around the large Christmas tree, eager to decorate it. Taylor couldnt help but smile slightly as she saw the foster parents struggling to keep them all in order.

Taylor then went to the kitchen and prepared herself breakfast, her foster parets usually did it but they were busy at the moment. She opened the fridge to find 3 packed boxes of eggs, 2 gallons of OJ and some packs of meat, including some other ingredients. As soon as se started cooking her eggs and bacon, Jerry ,6, and Giovanni ,8, came rushing into the kitchen. "Can we have some to, Taylor!? Pleeeaaassse!!" Jerry begged, tugging at her sleeping shirt. Giovanni looked up at her as well, pleading with his big brown eyes. "Sure guys, wheres Kayla?" Taylor asked. Then, 7 year old Kayla came along, randomly singing Ring Around the Rosie. "Here!" she chirpped.

Taylor then began slaving away at the stove, though she was quite happy to make a meal for them. She felt like they were the only ones she really loved in this big house. The other kids usually just annoyed or made fun of Taylor, these three, though, she really did love them. After she finished the food she decided to get some presents for them after seeing some wrapped gifts under the now decorated tree.

Taylor then went to the bathroom to get ready to go out to the mall. She could probably only afford a few gifts for the three kids. She brushed her brown hair and put a longsleeved, gray shirt over her white T-shirt, then put on her leather jacket. "Taylor, can we go with you? I wanna see the Barbies they have!" Kayla exclaimed. "Sorry, I have to go alone this time Kayla. Tell Giovanni and Jerry ok?" Taylor said.

She then grabbed her skateboard and started going out the door. "And where do you think you're going?" Helen asked. "Im just going to get some stuff, ok? So just- leave me alone, I know how to be on my own." Taylor barked back. "No you dont, Taylor. When will you understand you're too young to be on your own. The world is a dangerous place." Tom said, backing up Helen. "I think I know how dangerous it can be.." Taylor argued, rolling her eyes.

With that, she stormed out and slammed the door in back of her and headed to the mall, skating down the streets. She didnt know why Helen and Tom were so afraid, the mall wasnt even that far away. So what if the world was dangerous? That was something everyone had to deal with in their everyday life. She soon found the mall and walked through the entrance, trying to make her way around crying kids and frustrated parents. Christmas, what a jolly time of year.

Finally, Taylor went inside a toy store and looked around. She knew Kayla wanted a Barbie, whatever that was, and Giovanni and Jerry wanted some Hot Wheels.
