Once long ago magic and dragons and demons all existed. All hosts of things referred to now as fantasy and science fiction were quite real, though accounts were lost in time and space. Accounts were lost, but lineages and eggs continued to give this world what it used to treasure so happily. In fact, new species were formed and old ones expanded as time wore on, completely unnoticed by the world around them, and they choose to keep it that way. Everyone is happy and content with their place in the world: magicians practice magic only when they're alone, dragons and demons living in a sub-demension underneath the ground and keeping to themselves.

One record of magical ability was found and placed into the hands of power-hungry man. One could say the wrong hands, whereas others might claim him to be the wanting creator of a new world. Whatever the case, this man has set out to gather all the forces he can to take the world that is living so well without knowledge of him. He has succeeded in managing to find a few magicians to help him, but they mysteriously wound up dead.

A young asasin has taken it upon himself to use the eyes and ears of the city to rid it of anyone trying to help this man. He's determined to follow the man when he finally ventures into other cities, all the while trying to find allies for himself to help him in the quest. Will he succeed. or will the man finally manage to seize a few allies for himself, unbeknownst to the young asasin, and finally have his reward?

~If you were wondering, this is almost a spin-off of Asasin's Creed, as I'm reading the book they made right now. It isn't, though, so don't worry yourself too much. I felt in the need for an asasin-type roleplay.~

Rules are a must!

1. Literacy is required. I won't explain it, as you should know what it is if you're literate. Obviously the occasinal spelling mistake is okay, my spellcheck isn't working well on this particular computer. Please excuse anything I mispelled. :D

2. Paragraphs for replies, please! I do not chatplay, nor am I too fond of one-liners. Attempt to write something that other people can reply to, but if you can't simply let us know why, e.g. writer's block, you don't have time, etc. Try and modify it later, let us know if you're going to anyway.

3. If you've taken the time to read everything I've posted so far, type "All souls are not lost, only those who've wandered into darkness". Ask to join, I only want 5-6 other people since any more and I myself get confused.

4. No doubt I've missed something, so I have the right to go back and change/add a few rules. Setting and everything coming up.

5. Please try to keep this roleplay going! Don't join and then never post again. If you don't have much time to post, let me know and I'll make arrangements to keep you in the roleplay. If you're going to be gone for awhile, again let me know and I'll fill you in when you return.

~Setting and character bios~

Setting: The time is still before electricity was invented. Say, late Renaissance(think I spelled it right). It is early winter, midday, and snowing terribly hard. Northern Italy, the city doesn't matter too much. The streets are surprisingly busy with people; they're all bundled in furs and the like, though.

Name: Rozcoe

Age: appears to be 20

Species(dragon, demon, magician, human): Humanoid cheetah demon

Job(only for humanoids): Asasin-for-hire

Appearance: The only things separating him from looking human are the spotted fur that covers his body, the tail, the ears, and the slightly snout-ish look of his nose and mouth. He stands 6'2, pretty tall for his species. Dark golden eyes seem to bore into whoever has the misfortune of catching his gaze. The fur on top of his head is a little longer and sticks out a bit; it forms a short mane on the back of his neck and down his spine. Typically he wears black pants and a black hooded cloak; no shoes because they make more sound than his foot paws do. He's a surprisingly handsome man to anyone who sees his face, his body is well built.

Short background: Cat demons all have 18 lives, double that of the superstition of a normal cat. Every time they die, though, they pretty much forget their past life, so no cat demon remembers his entire life. Rozcoe is 1376 years old in actuality, and the he's been through a lot. He doesn't remember most of it, but he does remember how hard it's been to adjust to the new times. The thing he knows for sure, though, is that he has four lives left.

Means of defence: He can call upon a long sword, 5'6 in length, when he needs it in battle. Otherwise he's got speed and martial arts, a few daggers hidden on his person at all times.

Other: Having been an asasin all his life due to being too aggresive as a child, he's become rather good at it. He'd be able to show up what he calls the new asasinquite easily, but he's content to share his territory since his targets are none of the little boy's... for now. Hardly anyone knows he exists; though he's quite sure that at some point the boy will get wind of him and seek his help. After all, he knows how asasins like to stick together.

((And for my intro which I started only a few minutes ago))

Rozcoe froze. He was crouched in such a position that he resembled one of the gargoyles he'd recently taken down. Closing his eyes he waited, breathing softly, until the lantern had p*censored*ed him over. His eyes opened once more, glowing brightly in the black night. With a leap he brought himself to the window of his next victim, watching as the young woman tossed and turned in her bed, the lamp still lit from earlier. The girl rolled over to face him and opened her eyes, but no longer was he there. Precious few minutes p*censored*ed until she finally fell asleep.

The window didn't make a sound as he crept into the room, taking care to close the frame again should she wake up, leaving it unlocked. The body guards outside her door shifted; he heard the clinking of their armor. The candle flickered and danced, but other than that nothing told of his presence. Silently he dispatched his victim, took any coins he could find in the room, and blew out the candle. Immediately the guards burst into the room, but only found the dead young girl and an open window. They swore and clunked downstairs; outside on the roof the demon smirked a bit. Another night, another victim.

He returned to his secluded little home, a much richer man than he'd been. His client had paid good money to have the little girl dispatched, and had worried that he wouldn't be able to do the job. Rozcoe wasn't the type of man to turn away jobs simply because his target was a woman or a child. He was an asasin through and through, and a proud one. He allowed himself to lay down on his bed and rest, ears always on the alert for someone knocking on his door or calling his name.

He was almost looking forward to the day when the new asasin came looking for him, whether on a mission to kill him or to help him against Signore Future Dictator. His tail flicked, cloak shed on the ground. Yes, that's going to be an interesting day indeed for him.

((Bumping. I know right now he seems what some people would refer to as a gary-stu. He's not, I promise. He's just bored and has no-one to talk to.))
