We are not just creatures! FireDrake practically shouted. His anger almost bubbled over and he had to restrain himself from lashing out at the girl. Think of it this way. You humans started this war thousands of years ago. Now, you still kill our kind. Destroy our eggs. All of my kin have been slain at the bloody hands of your ancestors. He said, seething. I am the last of my family's bloodline also. Do not believe you are the only victim of this war. He hissed.

Dusk was not afraid of this dragon and she whipped her head round, "Why didn't you kill us all to save your problems then." She said scathingly and suddenly she felt herself growing and rising. Her arms lengthened and her fingers formed claws. She was forced downward as her knees buckled under herself and then her shoes split as her feet widened and talons shot out of her foot. A long tail elongated from her tailbone on her behind and her face stretched into a snout. Her clothes ripped themselves to pieces, thick scales plated themselves of her body. The only thing that stayed the same were the designs covering her forarms, shoulder, and forehead. when the change had finished, she gazed down at herself in horror...

"When the dragon died, it's power was transferred to you." Taylor said, knowing it was true, but not knowing how she knew. FireDrake snickered. Maybe now you will understand what it is like to be one of us and the pain we share. We do not enjoy killing you humans. We would rather have peace between us but your kind seek only destruction and violence. He thought to her simply, reminiscing in the fact that she hated what she had become. Taylor shifted around uneasily at his dark thoughts.

I didn't want this. Dusk snorted and a powerful icy cold wind shot out of her wide, white nostrils. I didn't ask to be a dragon, I just wanted my family. I am not a violent person, but that dragon, it wanted to kill me and it had already killed Mom! She sniffed...

FireDrake struck the earth hard with his right paw in anger. That Dragon did not want to kill you! It was mixing blood with you to try to create peace between our races! He thought to them and Taylor cringed from the force of the thoughts. FireDrake's nostrils flared in anger and a fiery heat scorched hungrily up his throat. The flame licked at his teeth, but he did not release the angry flame. Not yet.

HE could not talk to you. The blood had not been mixed so your mind had not been opened to the inituative of the dragons minds. He stated simply. His anger died down and Taylor sighed, giddy with relief. FireDrake gave her a long look and said only to her. I am sorry for the way I acted. Truly, I am not a bad spirit, but this war has been raging for too long. Tensions are too high now. Taylor nodded.

Center your thoughts. Calm yourself and only think of your human self. He instructed her, glad she was listening now. Taylor watched the two, her eyelids drooping tiredly. She yawned and sat down. ((i g2g. it's 11:56 pm here and i ish tiredddd.))

FireDrake turned to Taylor for help. "I'll have to sneak into the village." She said quietly before standing up. She brushed off her buckskin leggings and stepped into her moc*censored*ins. FireDrake stood in front of her. I am not letting you go alone. Let me fly you to the edge of the village. He said and stretched his neck. Taylor nodded and clambered onto his scaly neck. Child, I suggest you come with us whilst you are a dragon. That way, we can all stick together. He thought to Dusk. ((i dun wanna go too far ahead without Ata.))
