Skye padded out of her den into the morning sun. The lingering scent of the previos rain hung in the air, and it felt damp as she breathed it in. She closed her eyes as a warm breeze washed over her, and she breathed in its scents, feeling peaceful, well rested, and well fed from the previous days kill. She wondered faintly how Basil was feeling, after his bee encounter, and that faint wondering quickly began to nag at her and she looked around camp for a sign of the Beta.

Mwezi growled impatiently as Jua bumped into her once again in her ceacelesss pacing, "Jua," she said, voice groggy from sleep, or lack thereof, "PLEASE, for the sake of my sanity, sit down. Why are you acting like this?"((IDEA!!!! LOVE TRIANGLE!!! >:) Mwezi, Zane, Arson. it would be funny XD))

"I don't know." Jua grumbled, not sounding like her usual self, "I've just been all jittery. I can't focus on anything, even if I really want to. Everything I do is off, even when I was hunting yesterday, I wasn't in the zine like I usually am. I mean, usually its just me and the deer, yesterday, i was unfocused, I still got the deer, but I also got kicked in the face. I never get kicked."

Mwezi growled again, sounding more aggresive and intimidating, "well, if you must pace, do it elsewhere."

With a huff, Jua left the den she shared wtih her sister and sat down in the sunshine with a sigh, looking up at the clouds drifting lazily across the sky.

Dhark padded into camp, fur still damp from his latest fishing expedition. ((FAIL XD))

Lukas was on his favorite sunning rock in a small clearing in the middle of the forest. Nobody ever bothered him here, and thats the way he liked it. His black fur glreamed in the sunshine and his silvery-gold eyes were quietly observing all around him. He watched a few sparrows dart across the sky, chasing each other as they went. His gaze shifted to a squirrel that frantically ran up and down a tree, chattering noisily as it went, oblivious to the huge black wolf only a few feet from the tree it was in.

Dagger slunk through the grass, belly almost to the ground. He could see the moose up ahead, and could already taste it. His mouth watered as he took another silent step forward. The moose still hadn't seen him, even though he was in perfect striking range. Sudden;y, from behind him, there was a whistle and his head shot up, looking toward the direction of the noise. Almost involuntarily, his tail started wagging and his tound lolled out of his mouth in doglike fashion. The moose bolted, but Dagger no longer cared, to turned and ran in the direction, a human hunter. The human whistled again and Dagger barked in response. Slowly, the hunter reached for his rifle and lifted it, aiming it directly at Dagger, but he didnt notice, the shot rand out, and Daggers head shot up again.

Only he wasnt in a field, stalking a moose, he was in his den, panting heavinly, and his heart hammering in his chest. A dream. That's all it had been. He shook his head, and a very odd one at the. With a sigh, he rose to his paws and padded from his den out into the daylight, wondering if his dream had meant anything more than it had been, or if he was just overthinking it.

Lenai was sitting in the center of the packs camp, with her tail around her paws and her muzzle pointed to the sky, watching the clouds like she had as a pup with Lukas, looking for shapes. She saw one that looked like a rabbit, and another that looked similar to a moose, and a faint smile appeared on ehr face.

Skye padded up to Basil, "good morning." she barked, "feeling better?" she asked.

((BAH! My writers block is back!! I'm trying to write my book and ive got total fail in my brain right now >.<))

Dhark nodded, "of course, its so warm out, I just couldn't resist." he laughed quietly, "I went after a few fish, but only managed to catch one, I'll probably go again later though." he said with a shrug.

Dagger shook his head, "there were no gunshots yesterday, and I didn't smell any of them in the forest, shes probably off somewhere hunting."

Lukas raised his head, ears alert. He could have sworn he heard a rabbit. Lukas growled low in his throat, wondering whether to getup  and  investigate, or stay where he was.

Lenai jumped after a moment when she noticed Jem sitting beside her, "um, how long have you been there?" she asked, slightly embarassed.

Skye shrugged, "no better or worse than yesterday." she said with a smile.

Dhark I don't think so, the air was really heavy this morning, and it still is pretty humid, by guess is we will have rainstorms before nightfall."

"well if it makes you feel better, we could go look for her." Dagger suggested.

Lenai shook her head, "no, its no bother, I was just watching the clouds, thinking back on when I was a pup, and how different things have gotten in so few years."

((CHeating=NEVER OKAY. I've been cheated on. Its the lowest feeling in the world. To know the person who "loves" you doesnt care. Its even worse when your so called "best friend" rubs salt in your wounds by saying "At least guys want me, your own boyfriend didnt even care enough to stay loyal." Cheating sucks. and I die a little every day knowing I'm never good enough, and never have been.))

Skye chuckled, "well then do something, go check the borders or something." she suggested.

Dhark nodded, "or you could just go in the river, I've always found that cools you down." he said with a laugh.

{ Yeah. His girlfriend called this morning while I was comforting him (he was crying all night), and broke up with him. Apparently he wasn't her type. He's distraught. }

"But I don't want to go alone," Basil complained, rolling onto his paws. He shook out his fur, tossing dirt and debris in every direction.

"Swimming's not my thing," Arson replied with a laugh. "I'll leave that to you and the fish." 

((Trust me hun, I can get back at my "friend." Because if i tell her boyfriend what shes up to when hes not around, he would dumb her in a heart beat, i just dont really want to do that to him because he really loves her and hes such a sweet guy :

Dagger nodded, "alright, let me know if you find her." he said.

"My mother used to just watch them, and she told me and Lukas to watch them as pups. She always said if we watched them long enough, we would see shapes in them." Lenai explained, "My mother wasnt from around here, she was brought here by humans as a pup, in a thing called the Circus. She was from a place called Germany, and according to what everyone said, german wolves are bigger than there are around here, and thats why Lukas is so huge." she shrugged, "but anyway, my mothers name was Wolke, which in her native language, was Cloud, so I guess thats why she liked them so much."

Skye laughed and shook her head, "fine, I'll go with you then."

"Lukas gets his personality from our father, Mordecai, he was a lone wolf, who joined the pack because of our mother," Lenai said, "so he doesn't socialize much. To Darcy, Lukas is the father she lost." she turned her attention back to the clouds, "if you want to see anything in them, you cant think too hard about it, or what they are, yes, they are just clouds, so they look like just a lot of fluff, but if you empty your mind, theres so much more to see."

Dhark shrugged, "my guess is she in her den, she was jsut heading in as  was heading out, so shes probably sleeping."

Jua yelped in suprise, "Oh my gosh you scareed me!" she barked with a laugh, wriggling to get away from him.

"You are starting to sound like you don't want me to go." skye countered, glancing at Basil out of the corner of her eye.

Lenai laughed, "see? I told you! My mother always told us the clouds tell a story, of good fortunes to come. She used to watch them for signs, as she called them. If any look like and Elk, or Moose, then a good hunt was to come, trees orother plants she said bode rain, which would make them gray, a wolf however," her voice grew dark and mellodramatic, "could mean many things, I could mean a lone wolf nearby, as she always said she saw the day she met my father, or worse, a running wolf could mean hunters, urging us to run, and more than one could mean a battle." she shook her head, "but nobody ever believed her old tales." she said with a laugh.

Dhark shrugged, "I dont know, she doesnt seem to sleep much, and I left camp a few hours ago, so she will probably be up soon enough. He glanced over at Jua and Mwezi's den, where a sleepy eyes Mwezi was just poking her head out of the den into the sunlight, "speak of the devil." he said with a chuckle.

Jua stuck her tounge out at him, "oh well you're nice." she teased.
