"I'm a first year," Mason piped in, his eyes never leaving Caitlyn's face. "So I haven't been sorted yet." "And I'm a Gryffindor," Melanie replied, sensing the awkward tension whenever she had to tell a Slytherin such. She tapped her fingernails against her knee repeatedly, expecting a negative reaction. Although, this girl seemed quite different. She was friendlier than most Slytherins that Melanie had previously come across.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

Rina put her sketchings and pages of writing away. She pulled her robes on, it seemed like they were almost there. She tucked away the pieces of candy and put her purse away, it was a good thing she decided to bring some money. She might need it later on, she tapped her hands on her book. She loved the forest so much, that was why she always took her journal with her. She sighed and started rubbing her hands against swastik's fur, waiting for him to wake up. They were probably near hogwarts by now.

Chester smiled and looked back at Dust then sighed. He placed his hand on the back of his neck and looked at Rina. "How much longer do you think it'll be?" he asked. He was egar to get their. "Oh, and was you at Hogwarts last year?" he asked, smirking at the question. He was going to bring up all the pranks he had done. He placed his hand on the Dust's cage, quickly jerking his hand back once he felt the bird's razor sharp beak tear into his flesh. He looked at the owl with no expresion then put his bleeding hand on his lap and looked at Rina then back at the bird. He lifted his hand and opened one of his lugages and tore a peice of fabric off his dress pants and wrapped it around his hand. "She's never bit me that hard..." he groaned, looking at the fabric, the blood was already starting to show through.

She looked at Chester, "oh me I've been here 5 years.", She looked at Chester's bleeding hand. "I think I have a first aid kit, somewhere", she looked through her luggage trying to find it. "oh here it is", she handed the kit to Chester. She had been bit many times and kept her first aid kit at handy, she went to the forest at night a lot but never learned when she came back the next morning. She remembered the time she was bit hard in the middle of the night, she still wasn't sure what it was but the wound was gone. She opened the first aid kit and handed him some bandages, "I think we'll be there soon", she said,

Meg nodded, extremely grateful for the subject change.
I should probably do that too. I recognize the area as rather close to Hogwarts.
She rummaged through her trunk and found her robes at the top. She pulled them out and started towards the door to make her way to the restroom to change. It was near the very back of the train, and eventually she came upon it. As she changed her robes she wondered about the upcoming school year.
Thoughts floated through her mind about the upcoming school year. Who would be a future Griffindor? Who would be the next Quidditch captain? These and many other random thoughts floated through her mind. She finished changing and made her way back to the compartment, knocking on the door before she entered out of politeness.

Willow flew up to Kyle and started pecking at his hair. He laughed and swatted at her. She cooed unhappily at his swatting and perched on the window, still cooing unhappily.
I couldn't imagine being in Slytherin. Blech! Anyways, I've heard that we're getting closer to Hogwarts, I think we should probably start putting out school robes.

Ew, a Gryffindork, Caitlyn thought, though she smiled politely, Maybe if I poke it it might roar..."Well, it's nice that you let me sit with you. I know a lot of Gryffindors wouldn't, seeing as I'm a Slytherin. So thanks." she said kindly, and then looked at Mason and asked him, "What house do you want to be in?"

Seeing as Meg had left to get changed in the bathrooms, Azon decided that it wouldn't be a bad idea to get changed into his own robes in the compartment. He took off his muggle clothes, and couldn't help but feel vulnerable with there being no curtains on the window. He shook off the feeling. Who would be out there anyway? It's the middle of nowhere, he thought to reassure himself. He pulled his robes over him, and found the sleeves to put his arms through. Azon was tying his shoelaces when Meg knocked on the compartment door. "You can come in, I'm just putting my shoes on." he called.

"Hey, I'm not one to judge. Surprised you stayed here after you found out." Melanie offered a smile back, though perhaps it didn't come off quite as genuine as Caitlyn's. She had a hard time living up to the Slytherin's charm. Mason shrugged at the question. "Our dad tells me I have traits fit for every house." He explains, pushing his glasses back up his nose. "I reckon he'll be put into Ravenclaw," Melanie chirped in. "Or maybe Hufflepuff." "Slytherin would be wicked," Mason mumbled under his breath, low enough for Melanie to miss.

Meg opened the door and walked in. Azon looked surprisingly different in wizard robes, though she was sure she did as well. She turned her attention onto cleaning up the train compartment. She picked up some of the stray jellybeans that Soren had refused try and cleaned up some of the trash from her chocolate frogs.
She picked up Soren's cage and started to wave the owl into it. He protested a little but gave in when she shot him a venomous look. She locked the cage and put it on one of the seats that neither of them had chosen.
You might want to put Aseia back in her cage. I'm really starting to recognize the area, it appears that we're closer to Hogwarts than I thought. |

Caitlyn heard Mason's last comment, and smirked. "I'd better get into my robes now. Looks like we'll be arriving soon." she said, and pulled her bag onto her lap. She unzipped it, and took out her robes, tie, and shoes. She put her bag down again and got up to head for the door. She opened it and walked out to go to the bathrooms. Unsurprisingly, there was a shirt queue. Also unsurprisingly, some nice students let Caitlyn go ahead of them in the line, and she was in a stall in less than a minute. She quickly pulled on her robes, and took the time to check herself out in the mirror. She brushed her hair and plaited it to the side. Satisfied, Caitlyn opened the door to the stall and exited.

Azon looked up from his shoes once they were tied, and saw Meg. "Oh, yeah, I should." Azon replied. He had forgotten that Aseia was still perched atop the luggage holder. Her stood up and held up his hand for her to climb onto. He managed to get her in her cage without any fuss, thankfully. |

"Do you remember the prank I pulled on the Defence against the dark arts teacher?" he asked and chuckled. "With the pixies and the cussing painting?" he laughed and shook his head and finished caring for his hand and handed her her aid kit back.

"Close your eyes, Mase. I'm not too keen on waiting in line to get a stall, so I'm changing right here." Melanie waited until Mason obediently covered his eyes with his hands before reaching for her luggage. She unzipped the top pocket, where she had conveniently packed a set of robes on top to change into on the train ride. While she was pulling her muggle shirt over her head, Mason asked, "Can I look yet?" To which a haughty Melanie replied "No!" Rushing to tie her red-and-gold-striped tie and button all the buttons on her crisp white blouse before pulling her grey sweater over it, Melanie finished changing a few minutes later. "You can look now," She informed her little brother, rolling her eyes. Mason sighed with relief, taking his hands away from his face.

Caitlyn walked leisurely back to the compartment. When she got there, she knocked on the door, and asked, "Can I come in?" She didn't want to walk in on a half-naked Gryffindor. Merlin knows what it'd look like without robes on...

Rowan nodded and Basil glanced out of the window, smiling faintly. "I guess so. I don't want to be late for The Gorgans speech." He said jokingly. 'The Gorgen' was the twins pet name for their headmistress, and it was said with great affection. You could always tell when the twins liked you, a nickname would sprout from their lips. Speaking up, Rowan placed Hood in a bundle of spare clothes as he rose from the seat. "Come on. We'll show you to where the bathrooms are."

Sebastien lumbered out of his sleep, stretching out his muscles after spending a long time in an uncomfortable position. He snuck a glance out of the window and gathered up his robes, shirt and tie, rubbing his eyes and yawning. Stepping out into he hall, he weaved past the rush of students headed for the toilets and shoved his way through the line. A couple of his friends let him in and within a few minutes he'd changed and was sweeping his hair out of his eyes as he shouldered back through the crowd to his compartment. Spotting a fourth year Slytherin whose name he vaguely remembered, he smiled, the barest twitch of his lips, and said a muttered 'Hello', before glancing into her compartment. "You've found a couple of Gryffindorks to play 'ave you?" He asked with a real smile.

He smiled, leaning against the train wall slightly before answering. "Yeah, Sebastien Quill... And you're.. Caitlyn right?" He asked, taking a pick out of the Slytherin girls names he knew. Looking at the compartment door, he smirked and pushed his fringe from his eyes. "Don't they know what a toilet is?"

Rina looked at Chester, "yeah i remember", she said. She remembered almost every prank he played but there was a couple she probably forgot, she smiled and put her first aid kit away. She gently lifted her cat off her lap and put her in her pet carrier. "i'm still not sure when we'll be at hogwarts", she said. She grabbed her luggage and waited, it might be another some minutes later though.
