((Gotta go. Love Y'all.))

Love is unconquerable. For love needs not the pleasure of outward beauty, as it takes great pride in the inward. Love needs not the cushion of luxury and riches, for lovers tend to grow closer in strife. Love needs not fame, for those true to love will not host greed.

      Liam Hoffner, a freshman who recently turned fourteen, entered his high school with confidence in his stride. He quickly visited his locker, then hustled to first cl@ss, which was gym. He half-liked having gym first period because of the pretty ladies that courted around in their shorter-than-short shorts. The other reason he like it was because of his athletic and competitive nature. He was always the one to dress on an off day.

      He exited the locker rooms, wearing mesh shorts and a wife-beater. He trotted over to the center of the gym, observing the area. They were doing archery today. It wasn't Liam's favorite, since he wasn't a natural at it, but anything to show off for the ladies.

      Liam ran his hand through his tousled brown hair, giving a little half-smirk. He picked up a bow, looking it over, quickly figuring out how to work it. Beginning of the string here, end of the string there. He strung it, and waited for further instructions.

---->

      "Calline! It's time to get ready!"

      Calline Raela awoke to the soft sound of her mother's voice drifting lazily up the hallway. She groaned and stretched, a ritual that was preformed everyday. Sihlo, her dog as well as a best friend, nudged her arm, for he was too large to get on the bed. Calline sat up, and glanced around with lazy eyes. It was seven in the morning. Calline rose from her bed, and stumbled to the bathroom to do her morning chores.

      After she was ready for school, Calline jumped into her black car, dressed in an over-sized sweater and leggings. Strappy heels framed her feet, making her an extra three inches taller. Within fifteen minutes, she had arrived at the school. She walked in, murmuring sugar-coated greetings to whomever p*censored*ed.

      She wasn't too thrilled to be going to her first cl@*censored*, which was English, but walked in extra early all the same.

((I can stay. ;o))

Lindsay turned to look over at a handsome, auburn-haired boy, who looked confident as he strung his arrow, and smiled as she shot the arrow without facing the target. Some freshman were still having trouble knocking their arrows.

The arrow let out a piercing shriek as it sailed through the air, and landed straight in the center of the target.

Lindsay smiled whimsically at Liam and chuckled at everyone's gaping mouth's, including the coaches'.

"I will be taking my A for the day now," she mused, and walked off leisurely towards the building, leaning against the door.

"Adra!"A voice called.

"Crud."Adra groaned. She got up and looked at her clock. She got her skinny jeans on and a new shirt with a red and black vest on. She did her hair and got a ride to school. She went to her first clas.s. Gym. Sy sighed and walked in. She gave the teacher a note and walked over to get an bow and arrow. She smiled. Yes!! She screamed in her head.

(She is.)

Adra shot the arrow and it made a clack as it hit the middle of the target. She smiled as she put the bow and arrow down. She walked to the wall, happily. She loved being te daughter of Athena. She was good and fighting and battle stragies. She looked at the other people, who's eyes were wide open. Adra just smiled and watched. "I'm so glad I'm Athena's daughter."She said as she held er necklace. The necklace had two swords on it, looking like someone was sword fighting with another person. She was told that Athena gave the necklace to Adra's dad to give to Adra when she was older.

Lindsay looked over at Adra.

"Showoff," she joked, and smiled. "What's your name, stranger?" She asked curiously. "I haven't seen an archer like that, since, well, me. My dad, Paul, taught me how." She smiled happily, oblivious that Paul was actually Apollo.

"I'm Ada. My mom, Kathena, taught me how."Adra said. She sighed. It was oblivious that Kathena was Athena. She only put a 'K' infront.

Thinking of a few choice swear words, the girl on the other side of the gym, restrung her bow for the fourth try and tried again. This time, the arrow flew, but wobbled a bit and ended up hitting the very edge of the target, knocking off a few wood pieces. No sound came from her useless mouth as she placed down the bow, having used up all her shots. Well, better tell mom, I have probably failed yet another cl*censored*. The girl, pheonix, thought to herself, walking back to the water fountain.

Pheonix tossed her shoulder length black hair out of her silver eyes and began to drink the cool, refreshing water. She wasn't sure why she liked water so much, but she often drank the stuff for 10 minutes, never getting sick. She surely didn't get this from her mom's side, so it must have been the father she had never known. Only last year had she been 'chosen' by Poseidon, which made sense.

Of course, the swim team prodigy, the water drinking freak, the one who stayed under too long. That was pheonix. Despite her name sake, she did not like the sun, nor the fire or warmth. That is why, on a day like to day, when it was rainy and cold and the sun was hidden by the darkened clouds, the black haired daughter of the water god, wished she was outside. She sighed and looked out the window to watch the storm, drowning out the noise of the thumps against the targets as people did what she failed to do.

Just then, a bright bolt of lightning hit so close the gym and almost right outside the window, that Pheonix toppled backward onto the hard gym floor. She rubbed her backside as she got up and peeked out the window. Hey Zeus, is there a reason you hate me? Pheonix wondered, staring up at the sky. She stared over at the pool and smiled, but it was a smile of longing. she wished she was out there. Instead of archery, they could be doing swimming. she was the best at it, even better than Adra who seemed to be good at everything, but Adra was nice and kind. She smiled and closed her eyes, dreamingof being in the pool...

      Calline snapped her head towards the open window. The lightning bolt, it made her feel so powerful, so strong. Zeus..what do you want?

      "Calline, could you run an errand for me?" The English teacher beckoned to Calline. Calline stood, with a sweet smile on her face, and was given an errand to run money down to the PE coach.

      The gym was on the other side of the school, and Calline took her sweet time getting there. Since English wasn't her favorite subject, and she was done with her cl@sswork for the day, she found no need to rush. She put the money in a pocket, and proceeded to finger-comb her long black locks. As she p*censored*ed the senior hall, she saw the principal coming, and quickly thought of a way to explain her situation.

      "Calline!" The principal called with friendliness and charm. "You're not skipping cl@ss, are you?" He was joking, of course, but it was his job to make sure no kids were doing bad things.

      "Of course not, sir! I was running an errand for Mrs. McCroy, since I was done with my work." She smiled. "Did you see that bolt of lightning? I wonder if we'll get out of school early for the weather." It was always good to be friendly with your peers, especially one who could ruin your high school career in an instant.

      "Only if you're lucky, Miss Raela." The principal smiled, and the two proceeded in opposite directions down the hallway. Calline opened the doors to the gym, only to be greeted by an arrow being shot into the wall behind her. Her eyes flashed; she searched the gym for whoever had done this horrible deed, and noticed a short boy with curly hair, smiling crookedly. He yelled an apology, but Calline was one to hold grudges.

      Upon entering the gym, Calline immediately felt a little uneasy. It was like something was yelling at her to get out. An enemy. However, Calline put it behind her, and gave the coach his money.

----->

      Liam chuckled to himself as he saw the girls face. She was angry, but Liam thought it funny. "I guess I'm not getting an A today, huh Coach?" He put the arrow down, and walked over to Lindsay. She wasn't so half-bad looking, and Liam thought he'd better spend his time doing something fun, rather than wasting it.

      "Hi, I'm Liam. I noticed you did exceptional at the archery. How long have you been playing?" He smiled, slightly tilting his head, and looking directly into her eyes. If she didn't immediately fall for this, Liam didn't know what else to do.
