"Go, impale yourself on bamboo spike traps if you want." Ebony said, waving dismissively at Tul.

"Thank you, how generous of you to offer." Tul replied.

If a man dedicates his life to good deeds and the welfare of others, he will die unthanked and unremembered. If he exercises his genius bringing misery and death to billions, his name will echo through the millennia for a hundred lifetimes. Infamy is always more preferable to ignominy-Fabius Bile

"The tips are probably covered in feces too." Ebony said. "That way, if the impaling doesn't kill you, infection will."

"I've had worse dates than that!" Tul laughed, stepping out of the Orbital Drop Sphere.

Ebony's nose wrinkled in disgust. "Ew, no!"
Holly and Wharshin moved to follow Tul, to Ebony's dismay.

The radio flickered some static, then shut off again.

The Orbital Drop Sphere had crashed down into some sort of humungous underground cave network akin to a cathedral.
Massive stalagtites descended from the ceiling, black sizzling liquid dripping off of the ends. Several massive natural pillars of rock stood in front of a massive window made out of blue gem, tiny fish-like creatures of indescribable nature swimming in the liquid beyond. Rubble staircases led off up and to the left into another passage, the cave illuminated by eerie glowing stones set high up in the gigantic uniformly square walls. Behind the Drop Sphere was a huge pool of tar that filled up almost all of the hall's space, and a small barrier of stalagmites fenced off all but the tiny path to the drop sphere as if the cave had planned for the pod's arrival.
However, as one looked closer, they realized that the ground was in fact littered with dozens upon dozens of out of place fliers and protest signs, each echoing the dried blood messages scratched eerily into the walls: "You Should Not Have Come!"
