Derp, that took forever. I had to help out my poor grandmother with her laptop. It took me longer than I intended.

"I'm so sorry... I didn't know." Ever said softly as she slowly got out of her chair to walk closer. She delicately placed herself at the very edge of his bed, just a few feet away from where Zayden himself was sitting. She looked at his hidden eyes, easily overlooking the hair that sheltered them. "They're still alive, Zayden. Just not in the place you would expect. It's like a game of hide and seek. You always look for them in the bigger, more im[injection]portant places, right? The kind of places you would expect to find them in. Like their car, or room." Ever gave a light smile, a lively glimmer in her eye. "As it turns out, they tend to scatter themselves in the places you would least expect to find them in. The smaller things." (I had to write two essays for pre-AP language today... I'm sorry if that didn't make much sense, but I'm too scatterbrained to spruce it up. xP) She scooted to the middle of the bed, placing a hand lightly onto your arm in a comforting gesture.

Zayden sighed and looked up at Ever with a small smile. "I-it's ok, really." He said in a soft quiet voice. He didn't want to burst into tears in front of her. He didn't want to seem weak. Zayden looked into Ever's eyes. What was it with this girl. Why did she seem so different? Zayden hasn't spoke to anyone about the accident, not even Davy. He just didn't know any more.

(Eight min after I originally posted this:) Why can't I think tonight? xD
"Alright..." Ever replied, not feeling like he was telling the truth. She let out a sigh, but decided not to get further into it. Since the topic its self was fragile, digging further into it might just have made it crack... or possibly boil over. Ever jumped out of surprise as her phone began to loudly beep, it's noise blaring out of her back pocket. "Uh, let me just turn that off." She desperately grabbed for the phone, and ended up taking a few seconds longer than she would have desired to pull it around to her front. "Oh no... why now?" She said quietly as she read the caller Identification name on the bottom of the screen, spelling out the name "Mom". She then looked over a little lower, reading the clock in the bottom right hand corner. "Wait... is it really that late already?" "I'm sorry Zayden, I think I have to get going. See you tomorrow at school, okay?" Ever threw on a convincing smile and walked out of the room reluctantly, heading for the kitchen to grab her things.
