((sary- Dragonfly and Hailtwist are in the process of making up, after a series of flash backs. Applesong is going to report the fox attack to Crystalstar so that she could take action about the fox that is still lurking somewhere among the clan territories.

Hailtwist's eyes were soft. "I suppose that promise is broken then" he said, licking her muzzle. "We're not friends anymore." He paused, looking into Dragonfly's eyes. "We're more than that." Hailtwist sighed. "I yelled at you because you didn't seem to trust me. I am positive that I could have tortured that fox without getting hit at all for an hour, and I wanted you to get help. We didn't have to be alone, but instead, you chose to be." Hailtwist stared into Dragonfly's eyes, somewhat hurt. "You didn't listen to me Dragonfly, you didn't believe that I knew what I was doing. If you cared about me, you would have gone."

"Nothing wise, like you were probably hoping." Ashflight chuckled. "I was just going to say that you should watch your back, I'll probably bring up this unit to dogstrike if you don't remember any of this for yourself."

Minnowfoot's tail lashed as he barely dodged the last of Lionpaw's blows. "I think that's quite enough" he said finally. "You are well prepared for a surprise" he said "If you were allowed to use your claws and had the same experience as a warrior, you'd have shredded me."

Crystalstar glanced at the kits one more time, then left.  The fox left it's scent behind, but very slight.  That made Crystalstar's hair prick up a little, but it went back down for she knew that she could fight it, or at least she thought so.  But probably she could fight it with the help of her clan, her clan is powerful in her opinion; the best clan ever.  She doesn't think any clan could replace her clan, and was feeling rather proud and purring slightly.

Dragonfly rubbed against Hailtwists' shoulder. "We can't change the past, so let's change the future. I want to be your friend again, Hailtwist. I love you!" A deep purr rumbled from her throat, and sh wined her tail in Hailtwists'

"Wow! Thanks!" He thought the compliment was an honour. "What are we doing next?" He mewed.

"More then friends, remember?" Hailtwist purred in reply. "Be gentle with yourself, I want you to heal."

"You scent fox?" Applesong inquired, padding up to Crystalstar. "I think its coming near camp" she said worriedly.

"Well," Minnowfoot said "Since Frostpaw's here, why don't you two practice badger defense?"

"More than friends?" Dragonfly asked. "I don't think that's happened. yet." Her thoughts wereboggled. She had had a huge fight with him, and in a day, they'd made up again.

"Okay!" Lionpaw raced up to Frostpaw. "Who's gunna be the badger first?"

Crystalstar nodded, still sniffing the air.  "I have a feeling that there was a fox here recently." Crystalstar said, worry in her voice.

Fernheart woke to the scent of fox. she blinked and her ears twithed, suddenly wide awake. A fox could harm or kill her kits! She gazed at them fondly, and wrapped her tail around them before leaving them for a second to stick her head out of the den. "Hello?" She asked, and then spotted Applesong. "Applesong, why am I smelling fox? Is there one in our territory?"

Thunderstorm padded toward his leader and medicine cat. "Crystalstar, may I lead a patrol out of camp to chase away the fox?" he asked. He was almost as proud of the kits as his sister was.

Crystalstar heard Thunderstorm, and turned around facing him.  She nodded.  "Yes, lead a patrol to chase the fox away.  We can't risk it killing the newborn kits, or any member of our clan." Although the kits weren't hers, they were precious, like all the members of her clan were.

Thunderstorm turned and gazed around. "Blazepaw?" He called towards the apprentice den.    "Heronstrike?"

Lionpawknew that if this was a real badger, it could break his spine doing that. He weaved through Frostpaws' back legs, and pressed on her back, hopefully making her fall into a heap.

"Not training?" Blazepaws' ears perked. "What about Flamepaw? does he get to come too?"
