Jace chuckled slightly, watching the blade curiously. He did not let her suddenly cold attitude or demeanor ruffle him in the least. "Your right, it is none of my business, excuse me for asking madame." He muttered, bowing in a smart-elic maneuver. "Just tying to break the tension in here before someone killed someone. Pardon me for being nice." He let the normal grin on his face drop and his eyes went blank and cold, a defense mechanism. He shrugged and walked back towards the door, stopping with a grunt as yet another female approached. Good God women everywhere. I'm going to die of estrogen over dose by the end of this. He thought, looking at the newcomer curiously. "You as quick tempered as the rest of them?" He asked curiously, knowing the girl would have no idea what he was talking about.

Faythe glared hatefully at Erika, cracking her knuckles. Would it really be so bad to jump up and cut her throat open? I can maybe cover the evidence or if not spending some time in prison does not sound to bad as long as i'm away form this bit*h. She thought hot headily, letting her hand slide to her pocket where she stored her own knife. But she would not be goaded into showing them her temper was rising. Little did they know was that she had one other defense weapon in hr drawer, and if need be she'd bluff a little with her 9 mil. pistol. Lets see that chick use her knife against a gun. She mused, sneering. "He ain't my brother, just a friend. Say boyfriend and we will have problems, well more problems."

OoC: Yes, she does carry around a gun but I will probably never use it. After her past she does not trust people enough not to have one. I personally think she could hold her own pretty well against Erika. She might not have much education, but street smart is something she does not lack in.

((Late post again XP, Wait all is good.))

Aven looked up when she saw another person enter the room. A tall guy, it seemed he and the girl where friends. He seemed to be saying something but Aven didn't really hear him. Her wide blue eyes looked from one to another. It didn't seem that they knew that she had her head phones in.

They started talking again, she turned when she noticed that the girl who had stood up for her turned and seemed to be saying something. The boy was now leaving, and the girls seemed angry again.

She pulled out her headphones, the loud music could now be heard. "Did you guys say something?" she asked, her blue eyes wantering from them. She felt incredibly stupid, she had zoned out, and she hadn't even heard them. She ran her fingers through her hair nervously.

She then noticed another girl had come up. I didn't know this was a party. She though before smiling slightly and waved her hand at her.

"Men," Erika muttered, rolling her eyes. "And alright, he's your friend." Giving the girl a once over Erika noticed a crafty look come onto Faythe's face, but she couldn't tell why. Probably as something more stored away. Like, a case of C4 or something destructive. Shaking her head ruefully Erika let her bdoy sag against the doorframe, casually clasping her hands again and twiddling her thumbs.

"And I'm not high-strung," s
he growled at the boy, Jace. "I'm just cautious. If you were in my sho-" The girl gulped and shut her mouth quickly before she spilled too many details about her own life. They didn't need to know. My life is my life, she thought sadly. I can't believe I almost told a complete stranger. Idiot...

Letting a small grin cover her face, Erika attempted to hide her anxiety. Her usual facade seemed to be slipping by all the new and strange people. Huddling her shoulders together and looking down nervously the thin girl noticed that she was rubbing the palm of her hand even faster, but she didn't sense the usual feeling of release that accompanied the simple action.

I probably am high-strung now, she thought angrily. Stupid place. I'm stuck with a shivering brat, a possibly murderous bully and now a jerk. Scowling heavily she shoved her hands into her pockets, though her fingers continued to twitch spasmodically.

“No I’m not quick tempered actually.” Kyoko replied to the man. She saw the others talking to each other in an arrogant manner. She rolled her eye before returning her attention to the man. “Who are you?” She asked not bothering to give him her name. She had put little trust in males and even less in females. She looked around not wanting to draw attention, especially attention form the girls that looked like they were about to slit each other’s throats.

“Maybe this place isn’t so bad.” She whispered looking at the two. She loved fights that where over stupid things. Since she has no idea of color she would always think of the people fighting as dumb blondes who were fighting over nail polish or makeup. It amused her to see these types of things happen since she had no empathy for preps. She chuckled at the thought before returning her attention to the male once more anticipating an answer. Seeing a flicker of movement out of the corner of her eye she looked over at a female figure that was waving. She weakly put up her hand in recognition to wave back before dropping it back down at her side.

OoC: Oh, I missed so much. >.< Sorry for not being here. I will read all that's happened and post as soon as possible. ^.^ Oh, and I don't mind if anyone bunks with Zephyra. =3 ::goes to read::

EDIT

Lingering by the window, Zephyra about jumped out of her skin when her door opened. Her vivid blue eyes locked onto the girl standing in the doorway like a predator staring at prey. Cocking her head to the side, Zephyra felt her braid fall over her shoulder as she stared at the newcomer's hair. It was layered just right so that some bangs artfully fell over her right eye and hid the other eye momentarily, and it was an intriguing shimmering silver color that oddly reminded her of Christmas tinsel. Beautiful, she thought placidly. Although it made Zephyra edge because she could not look the girl in the eye. Zephyra felt rude when the girl asked to enter and she moodily didn't reply, but what was done was done. She almost grinned at her attempt at humor too, almost was the key word.

Stalking the two strides to the bed closest the window Zephyra sat on it in an obvious display of possession. I hope this girl sleeps like a log, she mused, because I will not be cooped up in here at night. Watching as the girl found another spider Zephyra shivered when she gently placed it outside as well, just like she had only minutes ago, lucky bugger. Playing her part as the cold shoulder, Zephyra couldn't stop the feeling of regret. She really wanted to be like other normal teenage girls; chatty, giggly, and slightly sheltered. But I'm not, she bitterly told herself. There is no need for me to beat myself up over it, so just drop it! Yet Zephyra knew that it wasn't that easy. As she stared at her hands, which were folded in her lap, she prepared herself to be brave.

Looking up she opened her mouth to speak as she toyed with her braid, "Hello-" But the girl was up and out of the room, her headphones making Zephyra's attempt at talking go unnoticed. With a huff, she got to her feet and grumbled about rich people and their ipod's.

Softly padding down the hallway in her well worn and loved tennies, Zephyra peeked a glance at the door occupied, by the looks of it, half all the kids staying for the summer. Wishing that she had enough courage to overcome her displeasure of large groups, Zephyra kept walking until she found, what she thought to be, a cozy living room that connected to a kitchen. Going into the kitchen, Zephyra moaned happily when the fridge door opened to fully stocked shelves. Having eaten at the soup kitchen one too many times, Zephyra grabbed the cheese, and some ranch. Shutting the fridge with her foot, she went to work finding the bread cubboard and when she did a rare full out grin. Setting her cheese and ranch on the counter Zephyra got out a bag of buns. Making herself a snack, Zephyra wandered over to a large, plush chair that sat in the corner of the living room. There were about two others like it and a couch, obviously designed for small group chats. An unladylike snort came from Zephyra as she mumbled, "Like that will ever happen." The whole while she could hear fiery arguements from the hallway. This is going to be a long summer.

Edit again o3o

Faythe watched Erika's eyes curiously, though her own green ones stayed steely. There were flickers of emotion, mostly anger but with a hint of anxiety and even a dash of sadness? She mentally scoffed, drawing her knees up to her chest from where she sat and lacing her fingers together over the limbs. Whatever was going through the hot headed girls mind was not her concern. If she wanted to be all secrets and cold then Faythe would gladly let her. As if she was going to tell anyone her past, then they'd look at her as if she was some sleazy prostitute, the word left a bitter taste in her mouth, or if they actually understood then it would be pity; a emotion she hated almost as much as grief. Muttering curses under her breadth, she looked out the door frame to see another girl walk past. At least she did not stop to watch the cat fight.

Jace blinked down at the new comer in surprise, not expecting such directness from the much smaller girl. A small grin spread across his face, already forgetting his earlier smart-elic temper. There was a reason his mother at times commented that he was slightly bi-polar. "Not quick tempered eh? By the end of this summer you probably will be." He mused, looking over his shoulder to make sure no blood was being spilled yet. "I'm Jace, nice to me you," He let the question hang, allowing her to answer with her name or more then likely look at him as if he was stupid and walk away. Would not be the first time. The loud thumping of heavy riding boots on the stairs caught his attention and someone shouted; but it sounded more like a squawk. The Crow, as Jace liked to thing of their new instructor, stood there with her arms crossed, giving him a disapproving look clearly for being the girls section.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, this is a horse ranch so we will be spending most of the time outside. Not sitting in here conversing like a bunch of pigeons." Jace snorted softly, earning him a glare. "If you have unpacked please follow me to the stable." Without a backwards glance the teacher started for the front door, slamming it behind her as she thumped out to the extravagant barn. "There's something bout this ranch that I swear makes all the female population act as if their simultaneously PMS'ing." He muttered. Faythe walked over, having evacuated her safe bed and cracked him on the back of the head. "Shut it." She growled, already following The Raven.

---

Something was buzzing the the back of his mind, some kind of message or signal. It had been for the last few years he'd been harnessed to the unfertile fields of Hell. The time had finally come that his new master was ready to learn of his destiny, to earn his place in history just as his father before him. Throwing back his head, the m*censored*ive red horse let out a unearthly roar, rearing back on his hind legs and slashing at the demon who'd come to try and restrain him. Clearly they did not know who they were messing with.

But that was in the past, his struggle to fight his way through Hades and navigate the human infested earth. His black eyes, so deep set into his skull head that he did not seem to have any, ran over the pathetic excuse for horses that the mortals had tamed. They were all at peace, most wearing bridles and seemingly fine to be pinned in with no freedom. He snorted and stamped his front cloved hoof. For the next few weeks he'd be stuck among these pitiful creatures, acting as one of them until he found the Master of War. If that constant buzzing was any indication, he was close. Leaping with ease over the wooden fence, the demon horse looked towards the human house where a mortal exited. His form shifted before any could notice him, taking one of a pathetic tamed beast. Soon.

Erika glanced up, a worrying ex
pression taking over her face. Flushing slightly she hurried out of the room after their instructor, her shoulders hunched as she strained to keep out of this fiery woman's radar. She may have been direct and bold with other people her age, but adults scared her slightly, and Erika knew enough to leave someone with that sort of personality be. Horses, she thought, the tone inside her head a bit scoffing. She'd never had much use for the large, ungainly looking animals. To her, they seemed so fluid-less and ran with the sort of odd gait she would never get used to. I can't ever seem to figure out what other girls see in them. They aren't...oh, they seem to lack something. Shaking her head slightly in a gesture of pity Erika clasped her hands tightly and followed their instructor quietly.

As she exited the room she felt a slight chill go down her back, as if something...or someone ethereal was watching her. The girl turned her head slightly, to face the window,  though nothing but sunlight, green forests and a sprawling pasture showed. "Wha-?" she began in confusion, not sure how to react to such an ominous presence. Having never been much for ghosts and demons, though she firmly believed in fantasy worlds out in space, Erika's mind didn't once wander to the possibility that perhaps there really was something watching her. Perhaps even stalking her. That...was weird, she thought with an uncomfortable twitch of her shoulders, stuffing her hands back into her pockets before they could start fidgeting again.

---

Dull blue eyes gazed through the window unblinkingly, the light seeming to have been snuffed out of them. The black pupils, or perhaps a color even deeper than black, flicked from side to side for a few moments before they stopped, focused on the slim figure by the window. The owner of these ghostly eyes felt a tingle go down his spine as the girl turned, her jade eyes resting gently on the window before shifting away, the moment evidentally having pa.ssed. So...close, the stallion thought. Beating his wings once he drifted back down to the field. Feathers shrunk and twisted as he retracted his wings, feeling a sharp stabbing pain as his free, immortal form was stolen from him and he returned to the earthbound body of the average equine.

Kyoko chuckled at Jace knowing that she would never lose her temper even if she was dragged through hell. The instructor she thought of as “Nevermore” came and told them to go to the barn if they had unpacked. She shuddered at the thought of going out to the stable and facing the m*censored*ive creatures. She returned to her room and looked at her empty bag. “Guess I’ll have to go and face my fear.” She said taking her IPod and placing it gently in her bag.

Waiting until the last moment Kyoko stepped out into the hallway and followed the remaining kids out to the stable. A deep sigh left her mouth as she slowly made her way out of the building and down the path. The barn reminded her of her house which was an old farm house. Her father had renovated it a couple months before she was born. She grew up in the house until it burned to the ground with everything in it except her small rabbit stuffed animal. When she was put in the orphanage Mrs. Stacey threw it out.

She stared at the barn before she was rushed by Nevermore to join the group. Running along she tried to run around the barn and out of Nevermore’s sight but the woman’s sight was that of a hawks. She roughly pushed her in the right direction before muttering something under her breath. Kyoko let out a whimper when the woman kept pushing her roughly to get closer to the stable. Once there she made her way to the center of the crowd.

~*~

She shook wildly as a horse in a couple stables over became restless. She of course knew that her master was here as well but she concealed herself very well. Gently poking the straw with her hoof she looked over at the restless horse seeing him shift out of the corner of her eye. Rolling her eyes she bent her neck down to drink. Lapping water her neck tingles telling her that her master was arriving.

She jerked her head upward as she looked around wildly. Trying to calm herself she went to eat but found that she was not hungry. Sighing she looked at the ceiling and at the other horses that were oblivious to what was happening. All she could do was wait patiently until her master clamed her. This, however, was torture to her since she had been waiting for thousands of years.

OoC: I'm back. ^.^ I got a little distracted, or I would have posted earlier. I was looking for new warrior cat pictures o3o BiC

Having gobbled down her food, Zephyra was lounging in the chair when the lady from the bus stalked down the stairs. Her brows were furrowed as she prowled down the hallway toward all the noise, she was so engrossed in her task that she pa.ssed Zephyra without a glance. Wiggling into a more comfortable position Zephyra nudged the coffee table with her big toe as she listened to the barking orders of the camp director. "Alright ladies and gentlemen, this is a horse ranch so we will be spending most of the time outside. Not sitting in here conversing like a bunch of pigeons," with a roll of her eyes, Zephyra thought it was comical that some city slickers were going to have to muck out stalls. She looked forward to it, oddly, because she had a love for the beasts. During high school, Zephyra had gone before school to a growing barn. She had mucked stalls, feed, watered, and brought horses in and out of pastures; never having enough time to ride, though. When she began college it was all she could do to complete the homework to get her AA and keep food on the table, since her mother always conveniently had a new, needy boyfriend to take all their money, so horses went on the back burner. Even if they were her only stress relief. "If you have unpacked please follow me to the stable."

Hopping to her feet, Zephyra nimbly pranced outside the door. Glancing over her shoulder to see the flock of fiery girls and lone guy, she took a deep breath of fresh air and hoped she didn't trip or do anything else embarr*censored*ing. Her tennies weren't very safe around skittish horses, if she wanted to keep her toes, but she figured they wouldn't be doing anything too up close and personal on their first day. Ignoring the squabbling camp director, who's name continued to escape Zephyra, she wandered into the barn at greet the horses. A few were out in the open paddocks but three were shuffling around in their stalls. A pinto, that was as cute as a button, was one of the more excited horses so her cooing was short. Next was a chestnut gelding. He was snoozing in the corner of his stall, one hind foot cocked in rest, swishing his tail at flies and itches on his flanks. Clucking her tongue to the roof of her mouth Zephyra's eyes lightened when he perked his cute ears forward and he arched his neck with a soft nicker. Ambling forward he stuck his nose over the top of the door and she gently stroked his whiskered nose.

Lightly breathing into his nose, to introduce him to her scent, Zephyra cooed, "Hello charming, aren't you handsome."

"I like to think so," a deep, masculine voice said from behind her.

Gasping, Zephyra spun around and, on pure instinct, threw her fist out in a nose crunching punch. The man was taller, and younger, than she expected so her knuckles just bruised against a muscular chest. With a sharp intake of breath, Zephyra pulled her hand back and craddled the wounded limp with a pouting lower lip. Scowling at the man, who seemed around 24, Zephyra barely kept herself from growling. "Beg your pardon, little lady, I often find myself sayin' things out loud I ought not to." With a tip of his black, well worn cowboy hat, he introduced himself, "Names Elija, mind my asking your name goldie locks?"

Her scowl grew at his nickname of her, wrinkling her nose Zephyra turned on her heels and retreated to the group. I hope they aren't as cheesy as him, she thought. Crossing her arms she stood by the only other male. He looked like the lesser of all the lethals in the room, well him and the silver haired girl. She looked a little unnerved already, so Zephyra decided that her cold shoulder treatment wouldn't help anything. Heaving a sigh, she grabbed her braid and twined the end around her fingers. I wonder if we get to ride.

((Ohmygosh! Its Heath Ledger XD))

Aven sighed and scratched the back of her neck. Wow, ignored. She thought as nobody bothered to answer her question. "Alright ladies and gentlemen," Aven looked up when she heard the old lady's voice again. "This is a horse ranch so we will be spending most of the time outside. Not sitting in here conversing like a bunch of pigeons,If you have unpacked please follow me to the stable."

She sighed, and lowered the volumed on her ipod. She watched as the other kids slowly filed out into the hallway after the old woman. She turned and opened her suitcase, She hadn't comepletely finished unpacking but she might as well get the whole horse buisness over with, rather figure out that they hate her now than later.

She opened her suitcase and moved some cloths around. She pulled out a new pair of boots her mother had baught, so she wouldn't ruin her uggs, they were really her style, but her mother paid so she might as well wear them. She pulled on the combat boots and hurried out after the other guys, hugging her sweater to herself.

She stepped into the barn, and she immidiately smelt hay and horses, which she didn't mind, she liked barns, her first dad owned a ranch, and she loved to play in the hay. She looked around at the horses, they were all very beautiful, she went over to look at a brown one which snorted and backed away uneasily. Aven sighed, and pushed some hair from her face, this wasn't going to work, all the horses started to seem uneasy. She looked over at some of the other kids, they all seemed to have claimed a horse, or at least find one that liked them. She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned against one of the stalls, the horse backing away. She turned hr ipod back on, and looked at the horse hoping it would come closer if she stayed still but it didn't. She grunted slightly and moved back around the the stable hoping at least one of the horses wouldn't freak out on her.

- - - - - -

The demon looked over at some of the other hidden demons. They were now stirring in their earthly vessels. The senesed it too. Their masters had finally come, after years of searching they were to be united, all in the same place no less.

Surely his master would be amazing, tall, strong, fearless as his father before him. Surely, he would rise to the occasion and and do what his father had failed to do.

He shifted in his earth form. He hated being cooped up in the stupid stalls, she would prefer to be out in the feild terrorizing the other horses, but alas he could not be. He brought his nose down and pushed around the hay at the bottom of his stall. He felt the other natural horses become uneasy. He snorted and raised his grey neck. He flicked his blue eyes around the stable, nothing looked out of the ordinary, but the smell of death, and power hung in the air, and it was steadily getting closer. He flicked his tail in anticipation, his ears moving around like radar dishes as if trying to find the source of power in the room.

Soon, so very soon.

Kyoko stepped into the barn quietly. Looking around wildly she spotted the outlines of many horses. They seemed calmer than she remembered horses being. She relaxed and closed her eyes trying to calm herself to match the mental state of the horses. She had figured out that everything you do and everything you feel is connected to your thoughts and mental state. When she put herself in a calm state of mind she continued to walk among the beasts. She saw a myriad of hay barrels lining the walls. She walked along the stalls as the horses let out sad grumbles. She smiled until she saw an outline of a horse that was strange. Around the form of the horse was a regenerating smoke that never seemed to die.

Shivering she wished she had brought her IPod with her. Slouching over she slowly walked kicking hay out of the way thinking back to the poster on her bedroom wall before the fire and during the fire. Before the fire it was a group of black stallions jumping out of the ocean. During the fire their eyes blazed with fire and the ocean looked like dead black water. She shivered remembering the horrible image that was burned into her mind. Approaching the horse with a strange appearance it snorted at her bored.

She yelped falling backwards and running over to another stall. She closed her eyes and sat on the ground shaking for a moment before she looked up. Another horse with a strange outline was looking down at her. She stood up and the horse looked at her intently. Suddenly an image flashed through her head of a devilish man who was on fire manning a chariot. Connected to the chariot was a black stallion with red eyes. She shivered as it faded. "Hades," She muttered shaking her head. "Nothing like that other guy." She petted the horses head and the horse sneezed blowing green goo on her hand. "Gross!" She said trying to get it off. The horse laughed stopping his feet on the ground. She started to laugh to claiming this horse to be hers.

~*~

She felt her very near to her, her neck was tickling like crazy. She saw her master finally arrive and she felt happy. The son of her owner must be near to have such a powerful feeling about him. However this was not the case. A girl timidly stepped out and went over to the horse of war. A girl? This is what he left me with? A girl could never harness his power and besides he always wanted a son. What a disappointment. She thought as her master yelped when the horse snorted. She rolled her eyes at the girl would cringed.

What a challenge she will be.
She thought looking at the girl. “Hades.” The girl muttered. Hades? Why would she think of him and not her father? She thought looking down at her. “Nothing like that other guy.” She said and the horse smiled before making a straight face. The girl looked up at her before standing up. They locked eyes for a moment before the girl started to pet her head. She sneezed on her hand and the girl coiled back. “Gross!” She exclaimed causing the horse to laugh. The girl started to laugh as well before the laughter died down.
