Ethan let out some kind of low growl, his eyes suddenly darkening to an even darker shade of brown. "I'm not going to read, and even if I wanted to, it would be my own decision. Not some human's."

Kaylee rolled her eyes, deciding to let it drop for now. She pushed a thought to bring it back up later to the back of her mind, as well. "Fine, then. What do you even do, then?" She asked, imagining a vampire sitting in a lazy chair all day.

"Whatever the human decides it wants to do...and at night I hunt animals. Oh, and sleeping. I don't need it, but it's a pleasant enough pass time. Other than that, nothing." Ethan's life did sound rather boring, which was one of the few reasons he accepted to take a human.

That's... Boring. Very, very boring. Kaylee thought. The idea of following a human around for a whole day sent shutters through her body. "What do us humans usually do, then? Watch TV?" She asked, rolling her eyes.

"I don't know! I haven't been one for five hundred years!" Ethan growled. "You'd better find something to do, because I'm leaving." He turned away from the girl and opened the door, locking it behind him. It didn't make much of a difference, she could still open the door, but he didn't particularly want another hungry vampire to wander in and eat her.

Kaylee watched the angry vampire stalk off. She sighed, thinking of what consequences would come from this. She turned away from the door, back to the TV. She felt like smashing it into a million pieces for no odd reason. She walked over to the chair the vampire had previously been sitting in and threw herself down into it. What was she going to do now? The young girl gazed across the room, searching for anything to do. There were multiple things, yes, but non of them seemed entertaining enough. She thought about going to bed, and this seemed like the best idea at the moment. She got out of the chair and started walking over to the large bed.
On her way, she managed to stub her toe on a random piece of junk. "Ouch!" Kaylee said, pulling her foot back. Looking back up at the room, she noticed just how messy it was. She muttered something about vampires and keeping the room clean, then got to work picking up all of the junk and throwing it away. It didn't take long for the trash can to become full, so she pulled the bag out and put another in. After most of the crap was off the floor, she pulled out the vacuum and began to do a more thorough cleaning. A list of what she needed to do formed in her mind, such as mop and make the bed, organize the things in the room, all of the things one would do to accomplish a clean room.

Ethan returned at the door a few hours later, remembering at the last moment to wipe the fresh blood off his face at the last second. He dug around in his pocket for the key, only to remember that he left it on the counter. He struck his fist against the door a few times, then waited a few seconds before demanding, "Open the door!"

Have you ever been watching someone sleep so peacefully, and you just can't resist blowing a horn in their face? Well, then you know exactly how they spaz the hell out before waking up and smacking you in the face. This was exactly what Kaylee experienced now, as the first pound on the door sent her flying onto her butt. Apparently she had fallen asleep while vacuuming, but her face had managed to shut it off as she slumped over onto it.
Rubbing her now sore bottom, Kaylee got up onto her feet. "I'm coming! Shut up already!" She growled at the voice behind the door. No, Kaylee wasn't very pleasant when someone wakes her up from her first sleep in three days. Not very friendly at all. She walked over to the door, threw it open, and walked back to the bed. She threw herself onto it, face first. She didn't even care that it hurt; only that it was a surface she could go to sleep on.
"I don't care what you want, just let me sleep." She groaned through the mattress.

Ethan was rather surprised. This human didn't seem like the type to get grumpy. He didn't want his human to act like this, and decided to show her who's boss. He confronted the girl lying on the bed, his eyes black and fierce. He shoved Kaylee off the bed and sat on it himself, glaring at her on the ground from his spot on the bed. "You sleep on the floor."

((omg. -sprays Fab like a maniac- You are too awesome to lurk this thread. Gawd. Go away. >.>)) Kaylee muttered a curse into the floor before getting to her feet. She crawled up onto the bed, wrapping herself around one of the posts. "Go away. I will... I'll..." The girl's voice faded into a soft snoring, her eyes closed. It was amazing how fast this girl could fall asleep, but even this was faster than normal. The girl looked like a scared animal, with her dress half torn off and her hair messy, her bare feet intertwined with her hands to keep herself locked onto the post. This was certainly not the time to wake Kaylee up, or you would face some dire consequences, no matter how little harm you think she could inflict upon you. ((Fab. "You'll...you'll what? I'm waiting...?" When the girl dozed off, Ethan simply chuckled. She was pathetic. Becoming bored with gazing at the wall, Ethan slumped down onto one of the pillows at the head of the bed. Though he wasn't tired and never would be, he figured "why not".

The girl woke, her eyes wide from the dream she had been having. Nightmare would have been a better word to describe it, actually. She looked around for a moment, noting that she was no longer latched onto the post, but sprawled out in the middle of the bed. She sighed, wishing to go back to sleep, but she knew she couldn't. The room still needed to be cleaned, and the girl's stomach growled. She'd had almost nothing to eat in a while, and Kaylee was a person who snacked most of the day. She got off the bed, her hair going in all different directions, and looked for something to eat.

Ethan was still sound asleep, his face buried in the pillow. He's managed to half-fall off when the girl spread herself out, only his head and half his stomach still on the bed. When he heard the sound of someone walking across the hardwood, the vampire sat up and immediately hit the floor. Blood trickled out of his nose from the impact but he simply wiped it off. He couldn't very well get mad at the girl for causing him to fall on the floor and hurt himself, because he'd simply forgotten that he wasn't in a position he could sit up in.

Upon hearing a thunk behind her, Kaylee turned around to see Ethan on the floor. A smile lighted her face, a light laugh escaping her lips. "You, sir, are brilliant." She said, walking back over to the vampire. She extended one hand to him in a offer to help, which seemed stupid after a moment of thinking.
Why, if a vampire was as strong as they were thought to be, would Ethan need help getting himself up off the floor? She questioned herself. Yet again, why would he have fallen in the first place? A voice in her head countered. She laughed, her once dead eyes turning bright again.

Ethan ignored her offer of help and sat up, glaring at her from his sitting position on the floor. "What are you laughing at?" He asked, growling lowly in his throat. Only a vampire could make this noise; besides a bear, maybe, that is.
What he didn't realize was that the lower half of his face was smeared with blood and he looked rather ridiculous, especially after falling on the floor. He was too prideful to admit this, though, even if he could see himself. He stood up and wiped the blood from his face, but he knew he was going to start bleeding again. He'd probably broken it, but he could honestly care less. He made mistakes like this often.
"What are you doing up so early?" His voice, though edgy and tired sounding, managed to stay relatively calm. |

"I always get up early." Kaylee said, dropping her hand. Instantly her mind went back to food, but she pushed the thought away. "The real question is, why weren't you up?" The young girl asked Ethan.
((This is the worst roleplay reply I've ever written. Honestly, this is terrible. I can't think of anything else, though. e.e I'll blame it on Global Warming.))
