You are walking through a town in Relcore, when you see an unfamiliar shop front. The sign says; 'Pet Rocks'. You wonder about this, and push open the door. You walk into a biggish room, and the first thing you notice is that the floor is covered in an inch-deep la
yer of mixed dirt and sand. "Watch your step!" A voice calls. "Ya don't wanna step on any of the little guys!" A person comes through a side door you hadn't noticed. She waves. "Hi, I'm Joan, but you can call me Jo. So, I'm guessing you came in because you were curious. Well, I'll give ya the tour." You follow her to a table and chair with shelves behind it. "Cash register." She points to the side door that she came out of. "My office. Ooh, the best part!" She takes you to a back door and leads you out into a yard. It's not exactly ordinary, though. There's no grass, only dirt. A miniature stream leads to a little pond. "Are those... houses?" You say, staring at a bunch of little huts clustered under a oak tree. "Yuppers!" Then you see it. Little roundish gray stones running about everywhere on four stumpy little stone legs. You feel a weight on your foot and look down. A little pebble stares up at you with little black eyes. "Aww! They're adorable!" "There are some more in the shop." She opens a pouch around her waist and takes out a pet rock. "This is Plebble. He's not for sale." You and Jo go back into the shop. She shows you shelves lining a wall. On the shelve are mini clothes, huts, and tiny beanbags. "Stuff for your pet rock." You pick up four tiny purple rain boots, admire them, and set them back down. "You can also get buddies for your buddy." She shows you little cages with three ladybugs in each. You trail after Jo as she walks to shelves, this time with little different color pouches. "Food for your pet rock. Beige is standard food." She goes to the table and sits down. "There's the notice board with rules, announcements, and such."
NOTE: This adoptable thread isn't really high quality, and it's paper art- so the price is cheap. Anyone who follows with the roleplay gets a 25% off coupon! First person to post here gets a special Geode rock!

NOTE: Food that is not the Basic Bag has a special effect on your rock- just post to feed it! The Basic Bag gets you the ability to wear one clothing item per feeding. Buying furniture and similar items makes your pet rock happy, which gets you store credits, which are equivalent to 50 TU each.

A woman walks into the store, and looks around, before smiling at Joan. "Uhm... Riven Roo sent us?"
"Us." A moody indigo goiba grunts. "I don't want to be lumped in with you."
The ginger tesuri that came in with them has ran back outside and is gently poking at the pet rocks out back.

Jo laughs at Fynn and Maggie. "Okay, Why don't you take a look around, see if you like any, or if they like you! What're your names- I'm Jo."
As BoredDragon wanders around, she feels a weight on her foot. A little stone is sitting there- wait, does it have wings? It sneezes, and a little orange-yellow gem falls to the ground. BoredDragon reaches down to pick it up- but OW! It's hot! Sucking on her burned fingers, she picks up the stone, and looks at it. It stares right back with it's little black eyes. It seems to be smoking slightly. She carries it to Jo, who laughs. "Burned your fingers? Here, take this ointment. It comes with this stone. The fiery gems cool down after a bit, and you can give me them for store credit. Keep that gem though- it's a symbol of your first memory with her. Did you know that she's a Dragon-Geode Rock hybrid? Dragon Rocks look like her, but they sneeze real fire, while she sneezes gems that are colored like fire! What do you want to name her?" Fynn is watching the pet rocks waddle in and out of their huts, when something nibbles at his tail. His feathers ruffle in surprise, and he turns and sees a small rock with blue and white crystals growing out of it's top crawling out of the little stream and clinging to Fynn's tail. When it sees Fynn looking at it, it's crystals glow with happiness. It scurries up Fynn's back, nestles in between his wings, and promptly falls asleep. Fynn grins and walks carefully back inside to BoredDragon and Jo. "Ta da!" He says, showing Jo the rock. "Oh, that little guy! He's a Geode Rock. Do you see how his jewels are the same shades as a natural Tesuri!" She has a strange look on her face. "It's just- he's usually so shy. He never comes out! Not even for Rokc, my gondra, who helps take care of the stones. Once, someone wanted him a little too much. When they grabbed him, he bit them and ran away. I mean, lots of people grab stones, but usually the stones just run. I'm amazed he's taken a liking to anyone!"
"All part of his charm!" A very familiar voice said. Jo grinned and BoredDragon and Fynn turned around. Roo closed the door. "Hi! Ooh, you two already found stones! What adorable creature took a liking to you?" She starts to hug Fynn, then sees the stone on his back. It opens one eye, jumps, opens both, and buries itself in Fynn's feathers. "Oh!" Roo exclaims. BoredDragon holds out her stone. "Aww! She's adorable!" She pets the stone. "What are their names? Wait, where's Maggie?"
Maggie sits by the stream, grumbling about Roo. "She always walks in for no reason whatsoever except to talk with us. Never any money. Always with nothing. Or a rude hoity-toity Zenirix. Wasting our time." She jumps with surprise when she hears a squeaky "Uh-huh!" agreeing with her. She looks down and sees a stone with patterning like a... Goiba shell? "No- Woo!" It squeaks. A smile spreads slowly across Maggie's face. She gently scoops it up. She hurries to Jo, then slows down and stops. "What is SHE doing here?" Maggie yelps in confusion. "Yeah!" The stone agrees. Then Maggie perks up. "Did you come to tell us you're ready to buy a fish?" Roo laughs. "No, sorry. Just came with a new shipment of clothes. Beanies!" She holds up six, one of each color in the rainbow. "Ta-da! So, what are the names?"

A young girl dressed clearly to warm for this weather comes into the shop.
"Uh, hello? A friend of mine got an invitation from RivenRoo to come check out her new shop, but she's a little busy helping with preparing our barn... so I came to take notes and explore the shop!"
She seems interested by the little rocks, but has to constantly keep a small cat/snake from eating them...

"Baah!" She yells in surprise and falls backwards onto the sand. Plebble closes the door quickly, while stones mob Jo. She sits up and picks up the picture. "What's this? Oh, it's a picture of an Emolga! How cute! If you want, this can be your friend's entry!" She pins it up on the wall behind her table. She picks up a pencil that some stones bring her, and walks over to the raffle poster. "What's her name?"

"There we go." She writes on the poster. "The raffle is going to be drawn on the twentieth. I think your friend has a pretty good chance of winning so far!" She laughs. "Anyways, here." She digs through her pockets, finally pulling out a slip of paper. She hands it to you. "There, it's a 25% off coupon. Then, any normal rock you buy will be 375,000 TU, instead of 500,000 TU."
