Matrix's eyes softened in concern for Kai, but she dared not get any closer. Then, she heard the question the other one asked. "My name is Matrix Void," she called back just as loud.

Kai nodded. "I'm Kamaina but please call me Kai." she answere. She flapped her wings once and reached Matrix. "Were you at the school before?" she asked, her stance slightly cautious.

Matrix nodded. "I escaped two years ago, though," she said as she beated her wings a few times.

Kai grinned. "That's cool. I just got out but I'm scared Erasers are gonna come. I have no iea how to fight, I can hardly fly!" she said, her smile fading fast at the thought. She angled her wings, which let her drop jerkily onto the large rock below. She crouched, panting slightly at the strength it had taken just to fly a couple of hundred meters.

Matrix glided down to Kai on the rocks. Her talons dug into some of the loose gravel as she furled her wings against her back. Her tail feathers bunched back up together above her black wolf tail. "The Erasers wouldn't dare bother me. They know what I can do when I was in the school," she said as she walked over to Kai. "But enough talk of such evil creatures, it looks like you are hurt and need to learn how to fly. I'd be glad to teacher you if you like." Matrix tilted her head to one side and her yellow raptor eyes periced into Kai's.

Kai looked stunned. "Uh...thanks. I would love that, I've never known anyone like myself except for Aurora. I don't know if she made it though!" she said, her eyes widened, a frantic look in them. She furled her wings up against her back, her shoulder's aching. "It really hurts though. I've never used these muscles before."

Matrix smiled softly, her wolf fangs showing slightly. "I'll help you find your friend tomorrow, Kai. Rest, and your wing muscles will strengthen" she crooned softly. She took a few steps back and her talons scra-ped loudly on the rocks. "Just sit tight and let me go get us something to eat." Her wings seemed to unfurl by themselves with ease. Her tail feathers also faned out. "And maybe it'll be best if you moved somewhere where the Erasers won't spot you. But if you do happen to be in a predicament, rub this twice, and I will come." As she spot the last sentance, she plucked out one of her long, secondary feathers and gave to Kai.

Kai grasped the feather and nodded, "Alright, I'll do that. Thanks." she said quietly, sitting down and leaning her back against the hard, black rock. She closed her eyes and hummed a bit, her wings stretching out as she rested.

Matrix flashed another smiled as she coiled up the muscles in her legs. Raising her wings, she jumped up and beat them at the same time; causing her to sky rocket. Once she reached her prefered height, she fanned out her tail feathers, circling around a few times, before flying off to look for food.
