"Alex, you should loosen up more!"

"Vincent...you know better than anyone that I can't help it..."

"Yeah, well..." Vincent, slightly taller with brighter eyes and slightly lighter hair than his twin brother Alex, sighed softly in mock defeat. He slipped his hands into his black pants, which happened to hug his thin hips and his legs, as he looked his brother over. They were identical twins, with barely an inch of height difference and just a couple shades of eye and hair color to differenciate them.

Well, that, and the fact that Alex, the slightly older of the two, needed glasses and was the polar opposite of his brother's personality. Where Vincent was a punk and a "bad-boy", poor Alex was a sweet, shy boy who was only pulled along for the ride by his brother. He'd learned years ago that he couldn't resist his twin, preferring being around him to being alone. In a sense, he was safer with him.

Alex had little to no physical ability, whereas Vincent could easily hold his own when faced with the need. Alex had long since come to terms with the fact that he needed his brother, plain and simple. They were always together, from the very beginning.

"Vincent...what's that up ahead...?"

Alex's question brought Vincent out of his reverie, the taller twin glancing to the side to follow his brother's line of sight, a look of surprise crossing his ex
pression. He was seeing it, but...he couldn't believe it!

"Vincent, are my eyes just really bad, or is that an African Wild Dog digging through a trash can?"

"No, Al... I see it too," Vincent replied as he moved towards the strange sight, jumping slightly when the creature's head snapped up and large, rounded ears perked forwards, deep brown eyes focused solely on Vincent before turning to stare at Alex, causing him to flinch slightly.

You appear to be quite skittish, boy.

Both Vincent and Alex's eyes grew wide, the latter taking a small step back from the canine. Had it...just spoken?! The next thing either of them knew, the wild dog was standing right in front of Alex, short tail waving lightly.

However, you give off a pleasant...aura, I suppose is the best way to put it. My name is Deliah, young human. She --judging by the pitch of the voice the canine was most likely female-- sat herself down, an amused chuckle escaping her when Alex jumped with the most un-manly of squeaks she had ever heard and ducked behind his brother, peeking over his shoulder at her.

"D-did y-you...h-how are y-you...wh-what...a-are you?" Alex asked, his voice more like the whimper of a young pup than a teenaged human boy.

I did, I'm not sure, and I'm obviously an African Wild Dog, young human. And since I have introduced myself, you and your lookalike littermate should return the courtesy. Deliah almost seemed to smirk, her ears relaxing as she cocked her head.

"A-ah..u-um..." After a few moments, Alex stepped out from behind his brother, rubbing his arm before approaching Deliah and crouching down about a foot away. "U-um... I'm Alex Rhode...and this is my twin brother, Vincent Rhode," he answered softly, motioning to his brother.

Deliah nodded, standing up to pad over to Alex and lick his cheek. Relax then, Alex Rhode. I'm not going to attack.

Alex nodded slightly, slowly moving to lift a hand and begin stroking the African Wild Dog's head, taking a moment to rub one of her ears.

However, not even five minutes into this strange union, another creature seemed to come out of nowhere, a flash of red-brown darting after what looked like...a mouse? The larger creature pounced onto the mouse, pinning it with its paws and going in for the kill before the odd red-brown creature, known as a dhole, paused. Its fluffy tail twitched before it turned its head and stared at the ground before it. Not even a moment later it was growling, teeth bared and tail stiffened with long ears pulled back.

Relax, pup. Nobody here is out to steal your tiny little mouse. Deliah shook her head, making a motion and odd little noise to signify what Alex took to be a sigh.

I'm not a pup you bag of spots! growled the dhole, the two humans present perking in surprise again.

"So, you talk too?" Vincent stated, crossing his arms. He wasn't sure why he was surprised at this point, but he was.

At that, the dhole ceased growling, the fluffy creature straightening up and staring at Vincent. You can understand me, strange furless creature? she --once again assumed female by the voice-- asked.

Both Vincent and Alex nodded, causing the dhole to release her mouse and pad forwards, staring intently up at Vincent. My name is Shelilah, and as you can see, I'm a dhole. Who, and what, are you two lookalikes?

"I am Vincent Rhode, and the other one is my brother Alex Rhode, and we happen to be called 'humans'." Vincent frowned slightly, kneeling down to ruffle the dhole's fur, causing her to snap at him.

I never gave you permission to touch me, human! she growled, ears pulling back when Vincent chuckled. "Relax, just wanted to see if your fur was as soft as it looked."

Shelilah blinked, then shook her head and sat down. And was it?

"Indeed it was, Shelilah," Vincent replied with a grin before he glanced back at Alex, who was currently busy petting and rubbing Deliah. His ex
pression softened a bit. Looks like shy little Alex finally made a friend.

(( ;-; SORRY EVERYONE.))
Jennifer scanned around the heavily forested area. She noticed no one from the coorperation near her. She took this chance to get back to running away. She got up from her spot behind the bush and took off down the dirt path. She was going to make sure they didn't get her this time. She wasn't going to be the test subject anymore.

After a couple hours of running, her feet had started to feel like noodles, having ran as long as she could, yet still trying to keep the pace. She let out a yelp as she fell to the grown. She slowly moved onto her knees and hands, looking down at the scratches and scraps on her arms and legs. She looked around her, her eyes widen as she noticed something in front of her. Her heart just about stopped as the creature leaped at her. She let out an ear piercing scream as the fangs bared around her neck. Tears fell from her eyes as she looked at the creature. After a few minutes of the animal like that, it pulled away.

She watched as the animal stepped back and growled. "Wha...what?" she asked softly a bit surprised that she wasn't just killed and ate by this massive creature. She looked over and noticed the bright red stripes and swirls, and the dark red fur. She too noticed that it was a tiger...and not a normal one at that. "I..wasn't eaten?" she asked softly as she looked down at herself. No bite wounds, no scratches. "I decided to spare you." said the tiger as he sat down glaring at her. Her eyes widen again as she looked at the tiger. "You...can talk?" she asked softly. He nodded. "The name's Hour." he commented. "...J..Jennifer." she said softly confused.

The young man smirked as he stepped down on the skateboard, zooming past the houses on the street. He weaved in and out, purring happily as he did so, when he looked to the side of him. He smirked as he made eye contact with this strange white wolf next to him. "Racing now, aren't we?" he laughed as he pushed off again, going a bit faster. The wolf looked at him and gave a grin. "Looks like it." it commented as he picked up it's pace. The man gave a nervous grunt as he went flying off the sateboard. "A talking wolf!? What am I? In a cartoon?!" he yelled as he wolf stopped next to him. He sat down and smirked. "Beat you." he cooed. "...You can talk...do you have a name?" he asked. "Cel." he asnwered. "Nice to meet you. I'm Ray!" he smirked sheepishly.

Eloise and Jath sat waiting atop a roof, above two
strange boys. One of which Eloise thought was pretty cool, and the other, a
cautious nerd. She didn’t want to attack them, but she suspected the nerdy one
was with the company. They can’t be with
the company, Skits. They have bonded with animals, like you and I.
Jath
said aloud. “You never know, they might be spies, luring us to their trap. And
I still think it’s weird you can read my thoughts, Jath. Knock it off.” Eloise
replied. I’m not reading your thoughts; I
can just tell what you are thinking by your facial expressions. Owls are wise
like that, you know.
My facial expressions? What? “That is ridiculous!” No, Skits, you’re ridiculous. You’re just
jealous that you’re not a supreme creature, such as I.
“I’m not jealous!”
she complained. Jath looked at her and tilted his head, and smiled. Yes, you are. Eloise became a little mad
at the owl, and reached for him. Jath quickly flew upwards to dodge Eloise. She
slid off the slanted roof and into a pile of garbage, with needles used by the
company. One stuck her in the arm. She quickly sprang up, in pain and yelled
some choice words. She remembered there were two strange boys and two strange
animals. She pulled out the needle and
thrust it in front of her. “Don’t you dare come any closer, Government
pigs! I know what you’ve done to me.”

"Mind if I ask where the Hell we're going?" Horus piped up, clinging tightly to Olivia's shoulder. She could feel his heart beating - tiny and rapid, almost like a hummingbird's wings. This was still way too unreal, but hey.

When in Rome.

"We," she started, drawing it out in an effort to sound impressive. "Are going to find some shelter, maybe a supermarket or gas station."

"What's at a gas station?"

"Well, doughnuts fer me, and you can hang aroun' the restrooms."

The little bat looked up forlornly. "Are you serious?

Olivia chuckled and shook her head, refusing to answer him.

((-sobs quietly in the corner-))
