Wolfstar, without pausing, announced the news in a proud voice. Even if Limefeather wasn't his sister after all, like he and Oakfeather had thought, it was still good to see her on her feet. "Limefeather, do you promise to uphold and keep the warrior code?" "I do," she said with a warm smile, not bothering to look for Adderstrike. She could feel his eyes on her. "Then from now on you will train hard to become a warrior; It is agreed that Adderstrike will take on the responsibility of teaching you. His apprentice, Snakepaw, will be left in the capable paws of Wishcomet." ~ Snakepaw said nothing, only staring straight ahead with a shocked look on his face. Adderstrike wasn't his mentor anymore? Wishcomet was? At once he felt both dissapointed and excited. ~ Oakfeather nodded, still feeling slightly uneasy. Being a rather laid-back, trusting cat he was having trouble swallowing the fact that he had to keep a secret. "Alright, I can do that," he said feebly.

Cougarfeather nodded, "good, then lets go talk to Wolfstar, this works out perfectly,wtih Limefeather beign Adderstrikes apprentice and all." She purred, padding to highrock. ___ Wishcomet smiled at Snakepaw, "great! Its good to have such a great first apprentice." she said to him with a smile. __ Adderstrike nodded his head to Wolfstar. He wouldnt have to do much training with Limefeather, he figured she was just as good as Snakepaw, but if he could, he would drag this out for as long as possible. |

Oakfeather grinned, pushing himself onto his paws. His joints popped, but he ignored it, turning his eyes on his brother; his silver fur was fluffed out against the slight breeze and his blue eyes were distant. "Alright," he said. "Be sure to mention I helped with this Idea, though." With a laugh, he started to approach his brother. ~ Snakepaw burned under his fur, saying nothing but a muffled-sounding "Thanks." His tail curled around his paws. "Good to have such a great second mentor," he teased. ~ Limefeather nodded, trying not to look shocked; she hadn't requested Adderstrike, but figured Wolfstar had done it to be nice. With a smile, he turned to him with bright green eyes. "Guess I'm stuck with you then, huh?"

Wolfstar turned to look at Cougarfeather, not startled in the least. "Yes?" he said, slightly confused, eyes lingering on Oakfeather. "What is it?" ~ "And what views are those?" Snakepaw asked, shaking out his dark fur. ~ "And you'll enjoy every minute of it," Limefeather retorted, nudging him back slightly harder.

Adderstrike faked a dramatic sigh, "well I guess I might as well get used to you." he said, flicking her ear wtih his tail. ___ Wishcomet shrugged, "Me and Adderstrike have different fighting stlyes, he uses stealth and power, I have to use speed and the ability to know when I'm in over my head." she laughed, "but you need to get your own unique stle, you're smaller than Addertrike, so you are probably faster, and you're probably stronger then me as well." she said, sitting down and thinking. ___ Cougarfeather filled Wolfstar in on her suspicions, her voice a hushed whispers, "and the plan is get a spy, someone who know wont get caught." she said. |

Limefeather rolled her eyes, cuffing his ear playfully. "You act like I'll take forever to mentor," she teased. "I'll be a warrior before you know it~" ___ Snakepaw shrugged, understanding what she was saying. Adderstrike was big enough to take on the biggest warriors, Wishcomet was fast enough to outpace the smallest. What was he? More of a mix of both; he was small enough to get around undetected, fast and hard to catch, strong enough to take on a warrior or apprentice, and smart. Plus, he had all his old training with Tigerstar on his side. ___ Instinctually, Wolfstar knew who they were hinting on. "Limefeather and Adderstrike?" he said, bewildered. "Well, it sounds like a perfect plan, Cougarfeather, but my gut tells me something just isn't going to go quite right." "It'll be fine," Oakfeather said, sounding more convinced than he felt. "Adderstrike and Limefeather are smarter and stronger than more cats I know; they'll be okay."

Cougarfeather nodded solemly, "be that as it may, I share Wolfstar's concerns. I do not daubt Adderstrike and Limefeather in the slightest, they are quite a team, but I still have a bit of a bad feeling. Maybe we should have cats near the border when they are in StoneClan territory, that was we can get there fast if we hear any yowling or smell any blood." __ Adderstrike laughed, "thank StarClan!" he said with a wink. |

Oakfeather shook his head just as Wolfstar did. "The wind's blowing in the wrong direction today," he said quietly. "They'd smell us before we even got there." His dark brown tail tip was flicking back and forth lazily. Wofstar bobbed his head. "Limefeather will know what herbs they can roll in to disguise their scent. We'll just have to hope they're smart enough to run instead of fight if they are exposed." __ Limefeather laughed, shoving him with her shoulder again. "Alright, alright. What's the plans for tomorrow, then, Adderstrike?"

"Since you starting mentoring me, you do," Limefeather said, flicking him with the tip of her tail. "Perhaps we'll head to the training hollow." __ Oakfeather's eyes, unwavering, were set on Wolfstar. "I vote that Wolfstar does," he declared. "It'll sound more official and will be harder to refuse." Slightly annoyed, Wolfstar sighed. "Alright. I'll tell them to head out tomorrow morning."

Wolfstar snorted. "I'll tell them both right now, but you two had better come with me." Leaping down from the high rock, he started to approach them. His eyes were guarded, as if he were hiding something. __ Limefeather laughed, pricking her ears. Some cat was approaching. Swiveling her head, she smiled warmly as Wolfstar, Oakfeather and Cougarfeather started to near. "Hello," she purred.

Wolfstar skipped the greetings, growing more sober with each word. "We've come to a conclusion that StoneClan is up to no good. We need two cats to sneak into their territory tomorrow, and hopefully gather information on what they are planning. I, for one, was hoping-" "You want us to do it." Limefeather interrupted, as always, in a flat tone. "And what if we get caught? It sounds like a suicide mission to me, but if you really need us to..."

((*Gasp* another lurker!?!!)) Adderstrike grinned, "I'll do it." the danger of the mission didnt scare him at all, it made it all that much more appealing. He thought for a moment, "but I don't really want to put anyone else in that kind of danger. Especialy not my apprentice." he said, glancing over at Limefeather. Cougarfeather nodded in agreement, "be that as it may, you will probably need her there, two sets of eyes are better than one, and that way if you do get caught, it will be much easier to alert us, so we can help. Because they can probably catch one of you, and the other will be able to escape." "Meaning if we do get found, I might need to play defense so Limefeather can get help." Adderstrike said grimly. Once again, cougarfeather nodded in agreement. |
