i had just stood there in shock of the kits paws. the puppy pulled on my tail and i just growled at her then went to our cave where the fox who was sitting outside the cave. "so where did you come from?" "oh i was washed away in a flood as a baby and my parents couldnt find me so i found these guys who were my family until you all came along and now i suppose i will just be used then sent away." the fox turned her head to look at the stream. "really ? you think we are going to use you? in what way?" "i dont know in every way you can i guess, just dont hurt the husky." "you seem very attached. how did you meet her?" "she was sent to the 'backyard'as her owners called it then she found my cave she stayed there for the night and when i woke i found her leaving my cave to a log house near the road." "so she is a pet?" "yeah"

I try to talk to silver kiss but she ignores me as her fur starts to grow back over her paws. that day caused me so much pain, but silver kiss will never see that. She only sees that I left. I had searched and searched, I didn't hear her anywhere. The flames reappeared in front of my eyes as the scene reinacted itself. The pheonix flying overhead, it swooping down into the trees. The trees falling, cats screaming. I had choked on smoke as I dashed everywhere, searching for my four little kits. "silverkiss! Moonbeam! Whirlfur!Bronzewick! Where are you!" I had searched, and searched through the smoke that burned my eyes. People told me to go but I didn't . I looked under burning trees and in holes, but I couldn't find them anywhere, until I Saw them, and the tree collapsed on top of them, I called for help but no one came. As their squeels persisted and faded, I had run. But silver kiss must have wriggled out, with her last strength. I feel terrible, if only I had have known they could still live, or there was a way, I would have helped, I would have....

"I did, she followed me, and besides, she has never been, you just met her, she has come from miles upon miles away, and she was not "destined" to be here, if she doesn't want to be with me, then so be it, I don't deserve to be with her,she is two now, old enough to be out on her own, if she wants to hang around someplace safe, she can go find her father."

"spotted fur, i have never told you this but silver kiss along with your other kits were excepted into my pack shortly after they were born. you know they werent the only ones accepted into mypack. the whole cat race was in the pack. i was friends with the leader. he signed a treaty with me and we joined packs."

I walk to the little ramp silverkiss found and grumble as I remember theat I am an older cat and two big for this. But i skitter up anyway, finding as many footholds as I can And walk over to silverkiss. "well?" She sniffs the air as she looks over the ledge into the room I had found earlier."Luna says you have something to tell me." I notice the fine details of teethmarks on the tip of her ear, somethings definately up.

i snuggle back up to jeremy and sigh. "I cant believed i keep that secret from her. im such a horrib.." "hush, your fine. you did nothing wrong." jeremy gently kissed me after he said that. i lean back and he raps his arms around me and pulls me close. i fall asleep after being awakw for 36 hrs. strait.

Silverkiss does not reply. I lick the back of her neck and straighten up. "why are there wolf teeth marks on her ear. She flinched and looked down. "when we turn two, they set in the virus. since you left, the surviving cats met in a group. One of the Betas in Luna's pack told us we needed more protection, we agreed, without knowing what the consequences were. With just 15 cats, you need all the protection you can get. They startied bringing two year olds to their camp. Then sending them back soar and ill, with toothmarks or scratches on their ears like I.D. tags, they took the adults first, weakening our defenses for a while. But then, every time a kit turned two, they went off to that horrible place. When I went, I tried to fight, as everyone was to scared to tell what had happened, some didn't survive. I was taken, and they put me in a tent with that Beta, He called himself Evn. They pinned me on the ground and bit me. I felt betrayed as the virus set in. I was weak when I went back to the other five cats. Only five were left after the infection set in.

Her hair was foot length at least, and she was very pale. She had angular cheekbones and my same intense green eyes and long lashes. She was truly beautiful. but she whispered to the side. "not like you would understand though."
