"Follow me." Without waiting for an answer, he bounded toward the lake. It was just barely sunset, so the colors reflected onto the water beautifully. There was a rock just above the end of the lake. He leaped onto the rock. "Come." He called down to her. |

"Don't be scared! This rock won't fall. I can promise you that." Coal took a deep breath. Then he murmed to himself; "It's time..." "I-I love you..." He told her, shaking.

"Where?" He turned his head, but it was too late. A huge orange tiger was on his back. "Dear god save me!" He yelled. The tiger pulled out large clumps of fur and was biting his neck. "Lila! Help!" He yelled as the other tiger drowned him under water.

"Get off him you mangled fluffball!" she roared. Lila bit the orange tigers neck and broke his back bone which instantly killed him. She went under water and gently picked Coal up and put him on her back and took him to shore.

Coal coughted alot of water and some blood. His neck was coated in deep bite marks that would leave scars. His leg was twisted painfully and his once beautiful fur was tangled and matted and had some balds spots. He lay completly still for a moment, then we raised his head. "What happend? Where am I?" He asked. |
