Zane immediately started biting his lip when Zera sat down and pushed her hair aside. He could almost feel her pulse from where he was sitting. It was taunting him, yet again. The vampire found that biting his lip helped keep his thoughts together.
Zaniell brought his hands to her back, gently placing them where the top of her dress started. He ran his fingers over her soft, pale skin and when he reached her neck, he paused. Her pulse was particularly strong here, and Zane found himself getting a headache from thinking about it.
Instead, he focused his entire mind on the massage. He began to gently knead out several knots in her shoulders and neck, taking his sweet time as he did so. He scooted a bit closer to the Princess, liking her close proximity far too much. His hands tingled from their contact with her skin, and Zaniell couldn't help but smile from it.
Zane leaned close to the Princess, close enough that his breath moved stray strands of her hair. In a sexy, sultry voice, he said into her ear, "Is this helping at all, Princess?"

Zera felt chills go up and down her back when Zane touched her back. Goose bumps raised on her arms and she let out a shaky breath. Wherever he touched, he was leaving tiny trails of sparks that made the nerves there shriek for more. But she didn't show that on her face. Well, a little bit of it showed on her face, due to her drunken state, but her back was to Zaniell, so she saw no harm.
When she felt several strands of her hair moving from her captor's breath, she had to fight the gasp that was rising in her chest. If she did that, he would most likely find it funny. She decided not to really speak, so she nodded her head and said, "Mmhmmm." Sometimes not speaking could help hide a drunkard's thoughts.

Grinning, Zaniell leaned back from the Princess, seemingly satisfied with her answer. That, and his chest started to tingle with her nearness. The vampire couldn't help but wonder what the hell it was. He debated about sending a letter to an old friend, a sort of witch doctor who might be able to explain it.
Zane stayed silent as he rubbed Zera's back, letting his hands do all the talking. He quite enjoyed the silence actually, seeing how him and Zera usually fought when they spoke with eachother. He worked from her neck down to her shoulders, making sure he didn't miss a spot on the way down.
"So, You Highness," Zane said, breaking the nice silence, "What is it like to be you? A Princess, I mean." |

Zera slightly leaned into the contact that Zane was giving her. His hands were working some kind of magic on her back. She was too drunk to protest against it. Why fight something you like, she decided.
The silence that occurred was pleasant, she decided. If it weren't for Zane's hands on her back, she probably would've ended up thinking about this, and deciding it was a bad idea, but the electric-like feeling that occurred where his hands trailed made her train of thought stop in its tracks.
When he spoke, she had to remind herself to listen. She had her eyes closed, and she readjusted her hair to keep herself busy. "It's kind of boring, to be honest." Zera pursed her lips together. "I mean, it's a privilege and all to be born of royal blood, but I don't get to do much." She tapped her chin. "I'm mainly a wall-flower. I wish that I could go off and ride the horses more often, and go off on hunts with my father."

Shifting her hair was a very bad idea. This left Zera's neck more exposed, and heightened the smell of her blood, which was becoming increasingly irresistible. Zane shuffled back on the blanket a few inches, trying not to focus on her pulse, which he could feel underneath his fingertips.
Hunting? Well, that certainly was a surprise to Zaniell. He had never heard of a Princess who actually wanted to go kill things. Perhaps she just wanted to spend time with her father? Or, maybe she just wanted to learn to hunt?
"Hunts?" Zane repeated, keeping his voice even. "That's interesting, Princess. Have you ever wanted to learn swordplay or perhaps hand to hand combat, as to protect yourself? You know, from charming devils like me." His final sentence had a teasing lilt to it that accompanied the mischievous grin on his face. |

Zera chewed on the inside of her cheek and sighed. She wasn't surprised at how Zane found her interest in unladylike things interesting. Most people would. Especially if they would've seen her sitting at a feast, back straight and eating like a true lady. But lately, things had changed.
She thought about his question for a moment, a grin playing on her face. "I'm not exactly built for handling swords, or throwing punches, so I guess I'm just a defenseless maiden when it comes to 'charming devils like you'." She giggled slightly and wiggled when he hit a particularly ticklish spot of nerves on her back, near where her rib cage ended.

Zane couldn't help but smile at her comment. No, she was right. Her build wasn't right for fighting or defense. It was... Well, not right for fighting. Zane didn't want to go into detail of what he thought of Zera's appearance, it would only be embarrassing.
Zaniell stopped working his hands when he noticed Zera wiggle from his touch. At first, he thought it was because he had hurt her, pressed too hard, then he saw that she was just ticklish. The vampire grinned and said, "Oh, my, my... It seems the Princess here is tickling?" He squeezed slash poked her in the same spot, the ending of rib cage, and looked for another reaction to prove himself right.

Zera heard the word 'tickling', and then it all just went downhill from there. He squeezed her in the sensitive spot right below her rib cage again, and Zera's nerves short-circuited. She jerked forward against her own will and said, "Stop that!" Though her tone was bordering on angry, it was still giggly and humorous.
She moved forwards a bit and turned around so that she was facing her captor, a crooked grin on her features. Being drunk and ticklish made for one humorous combination. She was still giggling a bit.

Zane's eyes widened at the Princess' reaction. Yes, the answer was clear. She was definitely ticklish. She turned to face him and giggled. It was a small gesture that the vampire couldn't help but join in with, though his was a chuckle, not a giggle. [Man giggles... >>]
"I beg your forgiveness, Princess," Zaniell said, though his voice was entirely teasing. He grinned back at her, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "But saying I am sorry would be a lie." He paused and nibbled on his lip once more "It's delightful seeing you squirm from tickling." Zane said this last comment with a heartfelt laugh. He grinned yet again at the Princess and shrugged his shoulders playfully.
Zaniell patted the spot in front of him once more. With a fake show of batting his lashes, he said sweetly, "Now, Princess, I promise not to tickle you anymore, but I have to finish my massage." |

Zera bit on her clenched the blanket as he spoke, teasing her. She felt her cheeks heat up when he said that he liked seeing her squirm. It was mostly from embarrassment, though. She released her lip and grinned when he grinned, too. She couldn't help but grin when he did. His grins were contagious.
With a defeated sigh, Zera resumed her position in front of him with her back to him. She readjusted her hair again, seeing as how it had gotten out of place when she had squirmed. "You'd better not do that again," she said sleepily, following the motion with a yawn. "Did I have too much wine?" She decided to ask, stretching her arms out in front of her and then placing them in her lap.
"I mean, I feel sleepy, and everything's kinda fuzzy." She looked over her shoulder at Zaniell from the corner of her eye.

Zane watched the Princess with wide eyes as she yawned. It was the smallest action, yet it made her look so cute... And young. It was at that moment that Zaniell realized how old he was, and what he was doing was wrong. But, sometimes, the man just didn't want to be right.
"Princess, you have not thrown up, nor passed out. I'd say that you've drunk the right amount," Zane said with a chuckle. He began to massage her back again, making sure he didn't hit her ticklish spots. He rubbed his hands from her shoulders down her arms, catching her eye as he did so. If he could have blushed, he would have done so at that very moment.

Zera smiled when Zaniell said that she didn't drink too much. He was right. At least she wasn't throwing up and hadn't passed out. Though she felt like she could. When she felt his hands trail down her arms, and locked gazes with her captor, holding it for a good three seconds in silence. His eyes were such an odd shade of purple.
She broke the gaze as she blinked and turned straight ahead. This couldn't be happening. She needed to get sober again. No more wine while she was with this man. No more. She nodded her head and said, "That would be nice."
She let her mind race over the past events. She'd been kidnapped, hauled off to some cabin in the woods, gotten drunk, and flirted with her kidnapper. She was one strange princess, she thought to herself.

Zaniell was quite relieved when Zera broke eye contact, because when he stared into her slate colored eyes, he found himself getting lost. He quickly removed his hands from her arms and stood up, then stretched. He lifted his hands high above his head, revealing a little piece of his stomach. He quickly reached down and pulled his shirt in place.
Zane felt like he could fly at that very moment. With so much contact, his skin was ablaze with the odd tingling, and he didn't mind it at all. He minded it too much, that was for sure, and it wasn't safe for Zera. It was beyond dangerous for Zera, if he was being honest with himself. At that moment, Zane truly wished he wasn't a monster.
Gnawing on his lip, the vampire grabbed a large fabric from the saddle bag and rope, her soon to be tent. It wasn't perfect in any way, but it would keep her warm at least. He walked to a tree that had flat ground underneath, only about 10 feet from where Zera was sitting then, and began to set up the tent. |

Zera slowly got up, not wanting to fall due to being dizzy- she was still under the alcohol's influence. She winced slightly as she felt the pressure on the bottom of her feet, but the pain was dull. So the wine had helped, she thought. She stretched a little, but not too much, and turned to watch Zaniell.
He moved fluidly, she decided, and she could see how his muscles moved under his shirt. She simply watched. He was interesting to watch, though she would never admit that to him unless she was so drunk she couldn't tell her left hand from her right hand.
Once her captor began to set up the tent, Zera watched with interest, her head slightly tilted to the side like a puppy's.

Zane tied the rope to two opposite ends of the fabric, wrapping the top around the tree. It lifted the flat blanket into the air. He grabbed four stakes and began to push them into the hard ground with his hands, not even realizing what he was doing looked odd. For a human to push the stakes in, they needed a hammer at least.
By the time Zane was done with the stakes, he realized what he had done. He mentally shrugged his shoulders at himself. She was tipsy, a lot more in his mind than she actually was. Surely, she wouldn't think anything of it. Zane quickly tied ropes around the four corners of the fabric. It looked like a tent now.
Zaniell turned only to see Zera staring at him with what looked like curiosity. He smiled shyly at her before dramatically presenting her tent to her. "My Princess, your room awaits." |

Zera watched in confusion as she saw Zane push the stakes into the ground. With his bare hands. And no hammer. That must have taken a ridiculous amount of strength, she thought. She furrowed her brows at the scene.
When he finished the tent, and dramatically presented it to her, Zera giggled and passed him. His face was still a bit hard to focus on, but his eyes were just the opposite. They were the easiest things to focus on. She gave him a crooked smile as she reached down to grab the blanket that she'd been sitting on.
The pain in her feet was just a dull ache now.
As she passed him, she said, "You must be way stronger than you look." She was referring to how he placed the stakes in the ground. She ventured into the tent, bringing her blanket with her. It wasn't huge, but it was large enough that another person could fit in there.
She laid the blanket out and lied down on it, wrapping the excess fabric around herself. She put her head on her arms, using them as a pillow, and sighed. "How long will we be travelling until we reach wherever you're taking me?"

Zane stood at the edge of the tent, debating about how they should continue. Surely, he had to make a fire, to keep her warm, and to keep him busy. The Princess' presence had too much of an effect on him.
Then Zera made the comment about his strength. He shrugged, as if his strength was normal. "I guess kidnapping Princesses has its perks," He said with a laugh. He squatted down by the entrance of the tent and sighed. When were they going to arrive? He had no idea.
"Well, since we only have one horse," Zaniell said slowly, thoughtfully, "it will take longer than planned. We're about... say, a week and a half." He nodded, satisfied that was the amount of time it would take. |
