((I think that so far, Zander's the gentlemanly one. But I could be wrong... Haha. I'm so confused. But this also means that since I'm clueless, that Chaston's clueless, so it keeps the roleplay more realistic.))

Chaston looked at the Harley Davidson King in awe. It was a nice bike- motorbike- oh, she couldn't find a word to describe it. It was shining in the sun, and she was surprised when Zander handed her a helmet.

"Um... thanks." She said, taking in a deep breath before slipping on the helmet, which was far too big for her head. Her long black hair peeked out from under the bottom rim of the helmet. Her green eyes were filled with excitement when she got onto the back behind Zander.

Putting her hands akwardly on his shoulders, she said, "Okay. Just turn on Rutledge street, and keep going straight." She knew in that moment that she shouldn't be doing this; getting on a bike with a guy that she just met. For all she knew, he could be a total sociopath, but something inside of her compelled her to trust him. "We should get going before the sun goes down," she said, clearing her throat.

[[Hehe, clueless is good. |D Oh, you'll like the other one too. In a Ireallywanttothrottlehim kind of way. |D]]

Zander watched her in curiosity as she put on the helmet, paying the utmost attention to the way her arms moved when she was trying to fit it over her head, the ex
pression in her eyes. For some reason he couldn't fathom, he wanted to watch her for just a little bit longer, but forced himself to look away.

The helmet was far too big for her, but he didn't consider this as he started up and headed out of the lot slowly, speeding up gradually. He didn't want to go too fast; she'd said she'd never been on a motorbike before, and it might frighten her if he went very fast. Even so, he kept at a steady speed, turning at Rutledge street with all the ease and grace he naturally posessed, the buildings around them blurring slightly as they went.

The fact that her dainty hands rested upon his shoulders was constantly present in his mind; the fact that he could feel the warmth in them, that he could feel her light grip... It was... interesting for him, to say the least. He wasn't really used to willing human contact.

[[My apologies for late reply, btw. I have soooo many projects and stuff due. e.e]]

((I so feel ya on the school junk. o.o))

When Zander started to go at a steady pace, she felt herself tighten her grip, and finally lace her arms around his chest. She definately did not want to fall off, and the best chances of her staying put was if she held onto the easiest part to grab; which was his chest.

Watching him turn onto Rutledge street, she said, "Turn left on Holly Avenue, and Zeagler's shop is on the right; it'll be the last shop you see before coming to the intersection." She could feel the warmth from Zander, but it was different than any warmth that she had ever felt it almost felt like sunlight, except more..... more.... She couldn't describe it. It was like nothing she'd ever felt before.

Zander took a sharp intake of breath as her arms moved from his shoulders so that they were wrapped around his chest. Thankfully, it couldn't be heard because of the wind, but even so, he was surprised at himself for even doing it. Whatever witch craft she was doing was nothing but torment.

Stupidly, he just nodded and did as he was asked, eventually slowing down and pulling up to a stop outside an old shop building. Outside of it, sat down on a chair with a guitar that had a cracked neck, was a young man trying to repair it with some kind of glue.

Lithium, the young boy in question, was taking a summer job with Zeagler to get some extra cash. He too had moved down recently, but both came and lived from the opposite side to Zander. He had white-blonde hair, cut into a spikey tumble, and piercing silver eyes. Around his right wrist he wore a silver chain, with a charm that depicted a sword going through a sun, enabling him to remain in the sunlight. As he saw a bike pull up, he moved his hand up to brush a few loose locks of hair out of his eyes. Looking a little confused when his hand didn't come down, he proceeded to attempt to yank his hand out of his hair as it dawned on him that there was glue all over it.

Chaston got off of the bike after Zander, and took off his helmet that he had let her use. Upon taking it off, she placed it back onto the bike, turning back around to find a young man about the same age as Zander trying to pull his hand out of his hair.

She couldn't help but laugh. A light, silvery sound erupted from her mouth; it was her laugh, which sounded more like music than anything. She had noticed the glue that was bonding his hair to his hand.

Covering her mouth she apologized. "I'm sorry for laughing, but it seems that you've got yourself into quite the pickle, huh?" She felt a warm smile spread onto her face, trying not to laugh. "Do you need some help? Mr. Zeagler's bound to have some sort of solution that'll reverse the glue's effects."

Just as soon as she spoke the man's name, Old Man Zeagler came out of his store. He looked ancient, wrinkles telling the age all over his face. His eyes were a faded grey, and his hair was a silvery-grey color, but he was not bald.

Adjusting his glasses, he peered at Chaston. His eyes lit up and he said, "Is that the same girl that came here crying seven years ago when her violin broke?" He smiled, his thin lips curving upward. "Chaston Smith?"

Chaston felt her cheeks heat up as they filled with a red color. She wasn't used to people calling her by her full name. "Yeah, Uncle Zeagler. It's me." She called him her uncle, because her father had called him uncle. Therefore, she used the name.

"Well I'll be!" He smiled. "You've changed a lot, but those eyes are unmistakeable. You're still Chaston." He turned to look at Lithium, and his mouth dropped into an 'O' shape.

"Uh... Do you need some help?" Zeagler asked, his brows furrowed.

Zander stepped off the bike, a wary look in his eyes when he saw the other man. Sure, he looked human enough, and had somehow masked his scent, but that bracelet on his wrist was unmistakable. Sure, he might've just been a very rich human boy, but humans rarely got hold of those kind of things, and his eyes were silver. No way was this guy human.

He couldn't help but smile, though, when Chaston laughed. It was beautiful; it sounded like the sweet, high notes of his piano, and was literally music to his ears. He was disgusted that she offered to help the other vampire, but, then again, he couldn't say much. She'd helped Zander himself, and he was a vampire too.

''Heh... Yeah, I could use some help. You could've warned me your glue would stick to my hair.'' Lithium laughed, standing up. He was of average height, about five foot nine, and neither stocky nor lanky, but sort of in between. He was watching the man he took to be a vampire warily; that ring on his finger was no human ring.

He too liked the sound of the girl's laugh- what was her name, Chaston?- and the sound of her voice in general. Holding out the hand that wasn't stuck to his head, he smiled warmly. ''Hullo, I'm Lithium, but you can call me Lee or Lith, whichever.''

Old Man Zeagler disappeared into his shop, going in search of the solution that would reverse the glue's effects.

Chaston gladly shook Lithium's hand and said, "Nice to meet you Lith. I'm Chaston, but people call me Chase." She then let loose of Lithium's hand, and turned to Zander, looking into his eyes, and then back to Lithium. The two of them looked nothing alike, but they seemed to share a similar air about them.

"Are ya'll two related?" She cocked her head to the side, her eyes resting on Lithium, occasionally glancing back to Zander. "Like... Maybe cousins or something?"

Old man Zeagler came out with the glue solvent, and handed it to Lithium. "Now you be more careful next time. If it weren't for this stuff, we'd have to chop that hair of yours off." He let out a long string of chuckles, and then turned to Zander, who he had just noticed.

"Chaston, who is this young man?" He kept his eyes on Zander, but peered at Chaston after a while.

"This is..." She paused. "I think he'd like to introduce himself." Chaston had many bad experiences introducing people. Some people liked to introduce themselves, while others liked to be introduced by others. It was a very complex system that Chaston couldn't seem to get a handle on. She looked to the side at Zander.

Lithium smiled warmly at Chaston, gladly taking the glue off of Zeagler. He squirted a bit onto his hand, grimacing slightly at the smell. ''Zeagler, this stuff reeks.'' He said bluntly, pulling his hand loose from his hair at last. The scowl he had worn for just a moment dissipated quickly as he handed it back to the old man, being replaced by his grin. ''Works, though.''

Zander was still in a slight state of shock. How on earth could she presume that he was related to that idiot? Well, he guessed vampires often seemed alike to humans, but still. ''No, Chase, I am not related in any way to... Lithium here.'' He smiled warmly at her, glancing briefly at the other vampire.

He nodded his head in acknowledgement of the old man, the warm smile still at his lips. ''I am known as Zander,'' he said, voice clear and sharp. His odd way of speaking was something he had never quite managed to shake.

Lithium was eyeing him up warily, deciding Chaston was pretty stupid to think they were related. Zander- what kind of a name was that?- couldn't even speak like a normal human. Why the hell didn't she suspect him of something?

Chaston frowned. "Okay. I feel like a complete idiot now." She let out a nervous laugh. She kept her eyes away from Zander and Lith, turning to Zeagler.

"Um... Uncle Zeagler, Zander came here to get his piano repaired." She scratched the back of her head. She knew already that the boys didn't like eachother. Either they wer so similar that they hated eachother, or they were such polar opposites that they simply did not mix. Either way, Chaston could make friends with just about anyone, so it didn't matter to her.

"That's perfect. Work's been a little slow here. I'll make a house call later today. And it's very nice to meet you, Zander. It's nice to see a two new kids in the neighborhood. I've never seen you around, so you've probably moved here recently, huh? This is a hotspot for people to move, so we see bunches of new residents every day. Lith here's new, too." He looked over at Chaston, who wasn't smiling.

She looked at Lithium for a moment, and noticed him looking Zander up and down. Something here was suspicious. It wasn't normal.

Zander locked eyes with Chaston for a moment, deciding that what he saw was anything but stupid. ''Chase, from what I know of you so far, you are anything but stupid. You actually appear to be fairly intelligent.''

He smiled at Zeagler, trying to ignore the feeling of Lithium boring holes into him with his glare. ''Yes, we moved in last week. And thank you, that would be much appreciated. I think one of the inner strings is snapped, but I'm not certain, and thought it best to have a professional look at it.'' He remained smiling the whole time he talked, looking at Zeagler while he spoke.

''Oh, and it's a pleasure to meet you, Lithium.'' He added, the smile still present as he looked into the vampire's silver eyes, but his own eyes revealing mistrust and suspicion.

Lihium tore his eyes away from the other vampire. Much as he decided he didn't trust him in the slightest, he might end up freaking Chaston out. ''So, Chase, I take it you live around here?'' He asked, arching his eyebrows questioningly. This chick wasn't ugly by any means, and he decided he liked her personality, too. At least she admitted she was stupid.

Chaston nodded when Zander complimented her, but she didn't change her mood. Her green eyes switched to Zeagler, waiting for his response to what Zander said.

"If you'll give me your address, I'll come over to your house when you think it's best for me to come." Zeagler smiled back, his grey eyes showing a grandfatherly look.

Chaston looked at Lithium and said, "Yeah. I live by the beach." She sighed, and scratched her left ankle with her right foot. And then she noticed she was still in her bathing suit, but it wasn't unusual for people to go walking around town sporting bikinis. She didn't show the slightest bit of embarassment. This was Florida, after all.

((I forgot that she was still in her bathing suit. I thought I'd point that out. XD))

[[Lawls. |D Oh, and

[[My apologies. My internet shorted out or something or other [really not good with technical speak] and it only just got fixed. I was unable to access any roleplays during this time, and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.]]

''Of course.'' Reaching into the pocket of his shorts, Zander pulled out a black leather notepad and a glossy black fountain pen with a lid, before writing his address, saying it at the same time. ''37 Cobalt Street, Sanchez Lane. Just up the road from the beach.'' Cobalt Street was probably the oldest-looking street in Florida, consisting of terraced, wooden houses. It was a weird place, like stepping back into the past, but almost no one lived there.

He ripped out the piece of paper with his address on it and handed it to Zeagler, before slipping the lid back onto the fountain pen and putting the notepad and the pen back into his pocket.

''Lucky. I live a while away from the beach, but it's not too far. There's this really great arcade nearby. Maybe you'd like to stop by some time?'' Lithium offered, speaking directly to Chase, but his eyes seemed to never focus directly onto hers.

Zander, meanwhile, was highly aggrevated that Lithium had asked her out so bluntly, but supposed it was up to the girl eventually if she chose to go or not. There was no reason for her not to, besides the fact that Lithium was a blunt moron with no class or manners.

Old Man Zeagler took the paper happily and began to walk back into the store, but stopped when Lithium basically asked Chaston out.

A grin spread onto his wrinkled face. "It seems like you've gotten yourself quite the fanclub, Chase," he said, not turning around, before walking back into the store, the bell attacked to the door ringing softly.

Chaston's cheeks turned red, and she tried to speak. "Uh...." She looked around, focusing on the store's name on the glass door. "I'll have to debate on that..." Her voice was quiet and shy, but she put it as nicely as she could think to. She barely knew the guy. She only knew his name, and he had already asked her out? She did have herself a fanclub.

''Alright. I'll be working here for the rest of the summer, so you'll always know where to find me.'' Lithium grinned, shook his head with a light chuckle, and headed back to the store, oblivious to the ringing bell. He took out an old trumpet that was rusted up and started cleaning it, normally a job he hated doing. ''She's pretty, huh?'' He said, to no one in particular.

Zander was already walking back to his bike with his hands stuffed in his pockets. He stopped next to it and turned round to smile at Chaston. ''Would you like a lift home, Chaston?'' He asked, still smiling softly. He hoped she'd say yes, because it was getting late and he didn't want her to walk home on her own.

Chaston's face slowly faded back to its normal color as Lithium entered the store. She sighed, and shook her head. Since when was she popular with boys?

She turned to Zander as he spoke, and let a ghost of a smile appear on her face. "Sure." She noticed that the sun was barely lighting the city anymore, and that the street lights were slowly flicking on.

Under normal circumstances, Chaston would've said no, but this wasn't a normal circumstance. The town got shady at night, and a girl walking around in a bikini during the night would definately draw a crowd. Plus, Chaston's parents would throw a fit about her riding home with a boy she had just recently met, but they would never know. They would be gone for another two days, and she had the house to herself- well, she had to share it with her dog, but she didn't mind.

Zander picked up the helmet from the bike once more and held it out to her. ''That's good. I would feel guilty if I let you walk home so late t night.'' As per usual, he looked directly into her eyes as he spoke, and he couldn't help but think what beautiful eyes they were. He was smiling softly still, but his mind was elsewhere. Apparantally, that Lithium guy thought he could just be blunt and get things his way.

Zander told himself he wouldn't mind if Chaston went out with Lithium, but he wasn't so sure. He knew for a fact he'd kill the guy if he broke her heart, though. These thoughts led him to wonder exactly why he cared so much... She was, after all, just some human girl he'd just met.

Chaston gladly took the helmet and slipped it over her head, getting onto the back of the bike and waiting for Zander to get on also. She felt a part of her head start aching, but she fought that off, thinking about what happened.

That day she met two very handsome, different boys who seemed to like her. She had visited Old Man Zeagler for the first time in several years, and she had done more blushing than she'd ever done in her life.

Shaking off those thoughts, she returned her thoughts to directing Zander to her house. "I live on Savyon Avenue. It'll be the blue house." She squinted her eyes shut as her head throbbed, and she shivered, feeling the night air cool on her skin.

''Alright. I'll try to get you home soon so you can get warm.'' Zander said, smiling as he got onto the bike. ''Hold on tight,'' he added. He wished he had brought a jacket so he could give it to her or something, but he didn't get cold very easily. He'd remember it for next time, he decided.

All too quickly, they arrived at her street, and Zander slowed down as he searched for her house. Pulling up outside it, just next to the pavement, he stopped the bike and waited for her to get off.

Chaston wrapped her arms around his chest as he sped out of the alley and arrived at her street. She frowned. That ride had been way too short.

Pulling Zander's helmet off of her head, she got off of the bike and placed the helmet where she had sat. "Um... You could come in if you like..." The words felt akward in her mouth. She had just invited him in.

Chill bumps appeared on her skin and she shivered, feeling the wind blow as the palm trees in her yard shook in the breeze. "I mean, surely there's a way I can repay you for giving me a ride?"
