Wyldfyr followed Iyce out of curiousity. She unfurled her bat-like wings and shook them slightly. The liquid that rolled off her leather wings was similar to the one she was growing in, inside the egg. Now that her wings were unfurled, she took the chance to notice the intricate black markings on the membranes of her wings. They looked similar to runes of some kind. And she also had some black and crimson feathers outlining each finger and her wing arms. That puzzled her.

Furling her wings back against her back, she noticed two rather large dragons. One was a whitish-purple and looked similar to Iyce. But the other one is the one that captured Wyldfyr's attention. It was a deep scarlet with black markings similiar to her own. And the bigger dragon looked like her as well, but except for the black and red feather mane that surrounded the neck and back of the head.

Wyldfyr shook her head and blinked her alien black eyes as she snorted with recognition. She knew the crimson and black dragon beside the white. She had often heard a voice coming to her from the outside. Soon, Wyldfyr started to tremble with anger. Who had killed her mother?

Iyce glanced over at Wyldfyr, tasting the air once more with her snakey tongue. She glared at the ground with a hint of sadness, what evil had taken her mother from her when she had not even been born and why was Iyce not also dead. She flapped her wings, for the first time noticing the intricate circles and spirals that crisscrossed down her back and onto her feathery tail.

“Wyldfyr, Who do you think did this?” As a young dragon, she knew nothing of the other animals. The Pegasi, the Gryffons, the evil dragons, or even the Basilisk, the ancient snake that could kill people with one look from its black eyes. Iyce stared down again and then, unable to bear it any longer, she flapped her wings and took to the skies, having never flown before. Dragons were fast learners, even without a mother…

Wyldfyr hissed and shook her head at Iyce's question, signalling that she didn't know. Lashing out her fur-lined tail, she dug her pin-prick talons into the hard rock and gave a low, mornful cry. Closing her eyes, she turned her head and unfurled her wings. Crouching down low with both her front and hindlegs, she launched herself up into the air the same time she beat down with her wings. 

Climbing into the sky after Iyce, she opened her eyes and swear she saw red when she did. Wyldfyr was angry and she was starting to show some signs of bloodlust. She wanted to kill whoever killed her mother.

Wyldfyr cirlced around the two dead dragons and Iyce. She beat her wings and her serpentine form made her go slightly faster than normal. Hearing Iyce's mournful cry, she glanced down before landing on the black and red feathered mane of her mother. The feathers were still soft. It was almost like the downy feathers of a chick. It helped her calm down slightly and she curled up in the feathers. Like that, she looked like a coiled snake.

"No idea," Wyldfyr replied as her tongue flicked out of her jaws. Glancing around as if she heard something, she was then blinded by the black light that her mother expelled. Tumbling down from the feather mane, she saw her mother disappear in the black light. Her jaw dropped slightly as she dug her pin-prick talons into the softer earth.

"They;'re gone..." Iyce muttered. "Its as if they were never here." She stated, her tongue tasted the air and it no longer smelled of death and decay, but of some darker evil. The evil that had killed her parent...

((Basalisk...))

Wyldfyr let out a low growl, letting Iyce know that she can tell. Her tongue flicked out before hiding back inbetween her sharp teeth. Her head cocked to on side. There was something there that made no sense. Her tongue flicked out again, catching the scent of evil. Another growl escaped her.

Crouching down low, her back arched as she unfurled her wings. She launched herself up into the air at the same time she beat her wings. Soon she was next to Iyce and she cocked her head to the other side as she noticd that the other dragonelle was thinking of something. "What are you thinking about?" she asked softly.

"That would be most fruitful. If we can do that, then we can go after other evils that threaten the world," Wyldfyr pointed out. She beat her wings a few more times as she rotated them to keep her hovering near Iyce.

Wyldfyr's eyes followed Iyce as the other dragonelle winged her way back to the cave they were born in. Cocking her head slightly, she beat her wings and glided back to the cave. Once her feet touched down on the floor, she furled her wings and followed the path Iyce had taken until she was soon next to the white dragonelle. When she looked at the picture, her eyes widened in shock.

 "Maybe it was done by their killer?" She thought, looking at the red dragonelle. "But, what kind of animal can kill without leaving a mark?" she stared at the picture, flicking out her tongue every now and then to make sure they were still safe. "Hmmmm...." she swept her long, ice covered tail across the floor as she thought. She snorted and a puff of frigid air collided with the wall, freezing it. "Wha-!" she cried in alarm, stumbling backwards...

"Perhaps," Wyldfyr said as she pondered the question. Her tail swished across the rock floor as her back started to arch much like a cat's. Hearing Iyce cry out in alarm, the red dragonelle snapped her head at Iyce before noticing the wall covered in ice. "That wasn't there before," she said as she extended her neck so her nose brushed against the ice-covered wall. "It's ice," she muttered to herself as she pulled her head back. She snorted and a puff of writhing red flames shot out of her mouth and melted the ice-covered wall. "What the... what!" she exclaimed.

Wyldfyr stared at the steaming wall with wide eyes. She had done that? But how? Finally hearing Iyce's question, she snapped out of her thoughts and glanced at the white dragonelle. "I think it was fire," she said slowly.
