Dusk's ears pricked as she heard other people talking. She ignored the voices and hushed tones and wandered off from the area. A deer ran by, spooked, trynig to get away; Dusk blocked its path. It skidded to a halt to decide how to get aorund Dusk. It pointed itys antlered head at her and she sped under its body and ripped open its belly. It fell to the ground and Dusk licked her chaps. It was the first meal she'd had in a week.

I am Luana, Dusk heard the voices again and wondered if she had hunted on someone elses land. She didn't usually care, but the voices sounded powerful. She sighed and heaved the deer onto her back, her silver coat rippling over her powerful muscles as she did so. She trotted towards the sounds and dropped the deer at the wolf called Lunana's paws. 

"Sorry I hunted here, I did not know this land was taken." she dipped her head and sat down, ready for whatever the wolf would say. After all, she had realized she was on pack land and this wolf seemed to be high in the ranks. Not alpha, maybe beta. She couldn't be sure...

Launna pushed the dear over to the alpha before her. THis was not her land so this was not her food. "This would belong to your pack I do believe." Launna turned and strolled away, her head held high.

Joven watched her leave, then turned to Morrigan. "I must apologize for our followers behavior. She can be quite high-and-mighty sometimes. I guess it's good in some aspects though. She never lets anyone push us around. She does have a gentle side to her though. She cares for Kiva whenever I must hunt for our food.

Kiva got up and walked over to where Launna sat on a rock. She perched herself on the rock beside Launna. Launna laid her head against Kiva's soft fur.

Launna wanted to run after the loner. She found it rude that the wolf would treat a pack like that! Packs are like families. How could you not want one? How could you behave like that? If Kiva wasn't beside her right then, she would have sprung after the loner. Kiva came first though, and right now the small wolf was scared and in need of Launna's comfort. Launna laid beside Kiva and just watched Joven.

Joven stood before the two pack wolves. Now back to my business: protecting my sister. "So you say we can stay? Is this an invitation to join the pack?" He was confused. He had never known a pack to just welcome strangers in. He was used to being run off be them. He usually had to fight them off while Launna got Kiva to a safe place to lay low.

Joven looked over at the loner who had just returned. With the alpha not present, no one was there to answer her question. He had no authority to welcome the wolf into Morrigan's pack when he wasn't even sure he was part of it himself. He walked over to Dusk. "You are welcome to join my sister, launna, and I. We aren't a pack exactly, but we are together. I do beliave Morrigan is mulling over whether or not to welcome us into their pack."

Joven walked towards Launna and Kiva. He turned to see if the Loner was following.

Morrigan shuddered, stepping away from them all in horror. A touch, felt softly on her shoulder, banished the darkness that clouded her vision and her thoughts. She turned to her sister, who watched her with warmth that kept the madness at bay. Standing taller, the ice around her eyes melting a little, she turned to the four who were gathered around her.

"Yes. You... You all may join." The words came hard, accepting others. She felt it sink in, that her family had been the only pack she had known. Now, more were here, and they, too, must become family. "You can come with Nemain and I. We will take you to where the pack kept their dens in times when we were a bit larger of a family." A smile broke over Nemain's muzz, and she stepped towards each of the wolves, touching her nose to theirs in turn.

"Welcome, pack sisters. Pack brother." Eyes glowed with joy to see this, Morrigan calm and family to be had. If only- She turned, seeing a flash of white in the trees. Her laugh rang clear, as did Morrigan's. At first Nemain started at the sound, for she hadn't heard it since they left. The gray she-wolf turned shining eyes upon the delicate white form as it emerged. "You guys got up without me, so I had to follow."

Nemain smiled, motioning to the others. "Macha, this is Kiva, Launna, Dusk, and Joven. They are our new pack." The smallest of the three lept forward, touching noses to each of them with a happy yelp. "Oh, how wonderful! Come, come! I've been keeping the dens clean behind Morrigan's back. There quite comfy with everyone gone." The three sisters bounded into the darkness, allowing the others time to follow.

Joven lead Launna and Kiva after the others. He was happy that he had found them a pack. At least now he could be sure that Kiva was safe. His little sister would love having the pack as part of their family and he new that.

Kiva followed cheerfully behind Joven. Her steps were springy and light. Joven had found them a family, a pack. She was beginning to tire of the life of wandering.

Launna followed behind the young she wolf. She loved the idea of having a pack, but she didn't trust this leader. Something about  Morrigan seemed a bit off to her. She changed her pace to keep beside Kiva, wanting to protect her in case her feelings were right about the Alpha.

They kept a steady pace, trees flying by until they reached the old den-site. Though the years had washed clean the stench of death and Macha had done her best to clean the dirt and cobwebs, the camp held a scent of sadness and abandonment. Morrigan's heart became heavy as she stepped foot into the camp. In her mind she saw pups running, elders chuckling at their foolishness. She saw her wrestling with her father. But now silence clung to every rock and tree, and it was with aching hearts and reverence that the three sisters led their misfit pack into their new home.

Macha tried to keep things light, barking happily. "It's this wonderful? There is where we would howl each night, and that's where wolves coming into adulthood would undergo the Moon Rite. That's where old Tallowhide would watch us..." The femme went abruptly quiet, small white paws carrying her through to one of the dens, to the largest of the seven that made a huge circle around a single, jutting rock. quickly Nemain went to her sister, touching her nose to the smaller shewolf's cheek.

"Morrigan is Alpha. She will take the Alpha's den." Macha tried to smile, looking around. "I've been saving the furs of our kills, and using them, moss, and feathers to make bedding. All the dens are nice and cozy." She turned to Morrigan, who was watching the Alpha's den as if she suspected something would come out of it suddenly. "Good job, Macha." She turned to the other's, her eyes back to their frigid color. "It's been a tiresome night. Everyone should pick a den and settle in for the night."
