Rheia smiled as Garrett greeted her. She tried hard not to look as upset as she was. She let him lead her inside, not caring if Ty followed or not. She gently spoke, introducing herself in her soft, melodic voice, "I'm Rheia. Sorry to intrude on you like this. It's just so cold out, and I got stuck out there." She made no mention of Ty. She felt no need to include him in anything anymore. He had hurt her too many times, and she wouldn't put up with that anymore. She pat molly's head, then put her on the floor before heading down the hall to find an empty room to change in. 

As she walked down the hall, she heard a girl's voice ring in her ear. She almost jumped at the sound. She had been lost in her swirling thoughts for a moment. The girl's questioning words brought her back out of her head. She turned to look at the girl. "I'm Rheia," she shyly introduced again in her tender voice. "I'm fine," she lied as she shook her head lightly. She pushed open a door to an empty bedroom. "Please excuse me," she politely dismissed herself. She walked into the room and closed the door.

Ty hesitantly followed Rheia inside. He knew Rheia wouldn't want him to stay here where she was, but he had no where else to go, and the storm outside was brewing worse. He shut the door behind himself and took a look around. The place was nice. There was a fair amount of space. A lot of people were there too. He wondered if Rheia and he were interupting some kind of party. He took a seat in an empty chair, watching Rheia. He watched her walk down the hallway.

  Molly was still wandering haphazzardly around the room, stopping occasionally to be petted. Garrett turned to the men left in the living room. "Come on guys. Let's go find you some clothes." He looked dispairingly at the smaller ones. "Maybe my younger brother left some." He moved down the hall towards his room, and began rumaging through his drawers, pulling out sweats and tee shirts. "They're the best I have, I'm afraid. We'll sort through everything later, after we all sit down and have a little chat in the living room. You guys get changed. I have some thing I need to do." He left them in his room and went back to the deep closet in the den. Inside, there were several large boxes he began to remove and set around the massive bare tree sitting in the windowed alcove.

  Aria stood for a moment, looking after the other girl. Something was clearly wrong, both with Rheia and with the guy she had come with. Ty? Was that his name? Sighing, Aria went into the next room and changed quickly, folding her wet clothes and laying them on the small tile square in front of the balcony door. Once done, she went back out of the room, looking for the others, and came upon Garrett in his task. "What are you doing? Can I help?" she asked, looking at the boxes. Garrett smiled at her. 

  "Sure. There is a kettle and some unpopped popcorn by the fire. Would you mind putting a tiny bit of that oil in the bottom of the kettle and popping it. I'll go get bowls in a second, but we should all eat something." While she set to work, he went to the radio and flipped his cd player to a mix of Christmas songs, then went to go get the four big tin bowls he kept for popcorn. When he returned to the room, Aria was singing softly.

  Silent night... Holy Night...

Rheia finished changing and sat down on the bed there in the room. She sat with her back to the door, facing the window. The blizzards was raging out there, swirling and billowing snow all about. She just watched it intently, not ready to go out there and face people, not ready to deal with Ty. Her eyes were empty of thought and emotion now. She stared at the blizzard, using it to hold back her emotions. She prayed that no one walked in. She knew how bad she looked. Her eyes were red and her face blotchy from all the crying and the cold. She wiped at her face. The tears that had been frozen there moments ago were melting away and dripping gently off her face. She kept herself from adding new tears to the pool of unhappy streams gently leaving her cheeks now.

Ty got up from the chair and followed Garrett to where the clothes were. He took a white T-shirt and a pair of black pants and went to get changed. He walked into an empty bathroom and pulled on the clothes. When he was finished, he left the bathroom and went to sit back down.

Paige eventually got bored of her book and went back to just listening to her music. Through her ear buds though she heard the soft sound of christmas music. Not that she didn't like christmas or anything it's just that the music isn't her thing. She turned up the sound on her ipod just enough so she couldn't hear the christmas charols. She looked down at her lime green ipod resting in her hand. It was small only about the size of her palm. The screen was black and she could her reflection in the solid colored screen. Her hair was slightly in her face and because of the dark coloration of the screen you couldn't tell her eyes were hazel. She looked away from the screen sliding the ipod into her pocket as she looked around the emptying room as the guys went to go change.

Kasey looked towards the radio as Garett set it to a station dedicated to christmas music. He smiled a bit as he listened to the song a bit. He turned back to Alyssa, "Where are you from?" He dicideds to ask. He only came here for the snow since he lived in Florida. This was actually his first time in the snow so it was no wonder he got lost. He moved a paice of hair out of his eyes as it drifted in the way of his view. His hair easly anoyed him and liked to do that quite often. It choose the worst to be a nusence too, like when he's skiing. He was thinking about getting a hair cut when his cousin draged him out here to go snow boarding with her and since it would be a new experience he didn't say no.

"Thank you Garrett." He took the clothes and went off to change into them. He opened his door and shut it behind him. After about 2 minutes he was done. His body was telling him to sleep, but he wanted to stay up. He looked out the window at snowflakes and got lost in a deep stare. He quickly blinked out of it and said, "I have got to stop doing that!" To himself. He got his earphone's and plugged them in his ears. Music flowed through the wires and to his ears. He opened the door and sat in front of the fire. He ran a hand through his long brown hair. The fire was starting to burn him a little. He slid back and hit his head on the table in the middle of the carpet. Ow. He thought.

He got up to pour out some more hot cocoa for himself. He held the mug in his left hand, ipod in right. He smiled went he swallowed. It warmed him up. Not too hot not too cold. It reminded him about the 3 bears and Goldilocks . He was always too picky. He needed to work on it. In this brainstorming moment, he thought about how rude he was to Paige. He ran to her. She was sitting on the couch looking around. He tapped on her. "Paige..."

"Oh I'm from Australia thank you for asking." Alyssa said. She thought for a second. What am I doing in snow! Jason is allowed to blame me. I told him to come. She gritted her teeth. She shivered a little and walked closer to the fire. The TV was still in view. She sipped her not-so-hot chocolate again. She frowned deeply and her head went to space.

"How is australia?" He asked following her as she walked closer to the fire. He hoped she didn't think he was being annoying by following her. He just had questions that kept poping into his head. And her bing cute wasn't all that bad either. He saw her shiver and felt a bit bad. He took off his jacket wich wasn't wet anymore and offered it to her, "You seem a bit cold." He said. His eyes looked back to the flame. It had many layers of orange, yellow and red with hints of blue and white close to the warmest part of the log. The floated around like seaweed caught in a fast moving current.

She looked about the room with it's wooden walks and stone fire place. It had a simple painting of a wild horse herd placed just above one of the chairs. She studied the main horse which had dark brown fur and sleek black mane and tail. It was reering up it's front hooves brought up to it's chest as it cryed out into the sky it's ears pinned up against it's head. The rest of the herd stampeeded past the stallion towards whatever their destination was each in a diffrent position. A lone egal soared high in the sky and you were just able to see some of it's white head from behind one of it's dark brown feathered wings.

((Sorry guys! Craziness keeps jumping between me and Rescreatu. It just stands there, doing the Macarena and preventing me from having time to think. Oh, and much better Ipod. One last request and I will stop being the crazy nitpick woman. Please use your character's name at least once in each paragraph involving them. That way there's no question who you are talking about.))

  Garrett waited untill everyone had reentered the room then stood, regarding the assemblage and considereing logistics. There were four young women and three young men besides himself. One of the groups of two was obviously fighting. There were four rooms, including his, so everyone wou;d have to share. He watched and though for a few moments longer, before moving to the center of the room. Stopping in front of Paige, he snappd his fingers in her face, bringing her back to the present. How she could sit there in a strange house, surrounded by strangers, and listen to her ipod he could not understand.He gave a smile as he gestured for her to please remove her earbuds and began to talk. "Ok, guys, I'm Garrett, just in case you forgot. From the looks of the storm, we're going to be here at least a week. That means that, yes, we will all be stuck together over Christmas. I'm sorry. If there was a way, I would get all of you home to your families. If it's any consolation, there is plenty of food and firewood. Things won't be ALL bad. 

  There are, however, only four rooms, including mine, so we will all have to share. Molly there," he indicated the little dog, who was sleeping happily on the hearth, her little legs twitching in chase dreams. "Molly sleeps with me, so whoever bunks with me will have to not mind her. As for the other rooms, ya'll can decide together who bunks with whom. Now, I know you're hungry. I am too, so I'm going to go make soup. I do have one request. I'm planning on decorating the tree tonight, wether you guys want to help or not. All I ask is that you start unpacking those boxes full of decorations." He left the room and went into the kitchen where he bagan opening the cans of vegetables he had set out earlier and dumping them into a large pot, along with pieces of sasuage, chunks of stew meat, slivers of chicken. Soon, the fragrant stew was filing the cabin with it's smell.

  Aria finished popping the popcorn as he left, so she turned to the others. "I'm Aria, for those of you who didn't catch my name. I'm another new comer, but I was done first so Garrett asked me for help. I really think we should at least try to have some Christmas spirit, right? I mean, this whole thing won't get any better if we pout. Right? Anyway, I'm going to start stringing this popcorn." She held up the roll of fishing twine and large needle she had found next to the bowl. I think there's another needle here, if anyone wants to help."

Paige was caught a bit off gaurd when Garett snaped his fingers in her face but she got the message. She took out her ear buds aut and paused her music so she could listened to what he was saying. She wasn't to excited about sharing a room but she didn't say anything. She could manage. Unpacking the boxes filled christmas decorastions wasn't unreasonable either. He had a house full of random people that he was being so nice too it was the least we could do. She heard another voice start to talk after Garett left the room to go into the kitchen. She listened a minute to what she was saying. When she held up the fishing twine with a needle at the end she remembered the nanny stringing popcorn onto that in years past. The nanny always insited on a tree in the house even though she knew I didn't believe in Sant Clause. I liked to help her expecially with the popcorn garland. She stood up putting her earbuds in her pocket and walked over to Aria, "Wheres the needle and twine again?" she asked as she sat down next to her.

Kasey listened to Garett as he spoke. Yay! Soup! I like soup. was all he thought afterwards but then remembered that he should probably help with the decorations. He stood up and turned towards Alyssa, "I'm going to help unpack." He said before walking over to a box and opening it.  He took out a smaller box with an assortment of diffrent colored balls all of which were shiny as if they were brand new.
