Shadow paused in the forest, allowing Maksis and Sasori to catch up. Sasori's slender legs seemed to ripple under the moonlight. Maksis nodded at Shadow and his forehead crinkled in confusion. "Where's Taylor?" He asked and Shadow looked at him, almost incoherently. His eyes cleared and they regained their wise, ancient form they had before. "Oh, Taylor. She is back there with Zane,, Allen, and Yuri," He said and turned around again. Maksis looked down at Sasori, but  her eyes were thoughtful. Maksis let his mind reach out to hers, but it was blocked by a large barrier. She looked up at him apologetically and let her mind reach out to his. Sorry Maks. I was just thinking. She said. Maks nodded slowly down at her and Sasori tried to comfort the worry that was knotting itself in his stomach.

Taylor looked apologetically at Zane before her eyes clouded as she accidentally slipped into Shadow's mind. She stopped and looked blankly ahead. Worried and overwhelming anger took hold of her and she hunched over. Her breathing was ragged until she detached herself from Shadow's mind. She stood up quickly and her eyes cleared. "Shadow senses a war," She said and her hand reached for her dagger. She let her hand rest on the hilt before whisking her hand away.

Lunar looked down at Crux before taking a swipe at him. "Is that any way to talk to your leader," She hissed down at him, but she let her anger wander elsewhere. "Dagger! You useless mutt, get over here!" She yelled before raking one ragged claw in the sand. She drew a large circle with an overlapping circle just above it. "Tomorrow is the Lunar Eclipse. We will be our strongest at that time. We will strike tomorrow and take back what's ours." She said.

[[they're still at the beach. Just finished collecting their clothes and such. They're heading back now.]]

Shadow did not think he could ever understand Allen and for that matter, Yuri. He seemed to shrug and nosed Taylor. Her hand immedietly went to his nose. "It's healed already," She said and Shadow nodded. "We heal fast," He stated and swung his large head in the other direction. "I think we should go. We have everything we need," He said and Taylor could see the worry in his eyes. She hoped this war ended soon because she did not want to have to live afraid the whole time she was here. Shadow pulled ahead of the others. "If your ready, we can go," He said and began to walk into the woods.

Taylor watched him go and immedietly felt vulnerable. She knew Yuri could protect him, but with him faking unconsciousness in the sand, she had her doubts. Her eyes slid over to Zane's. "You said Yuri and Allen are like twins. How are you and Vic getting along?" She asked.

Shadow walked onward, his soft pawsteps rustling on the deadened leaves scattered across the ground. I fell into step behind him, though found no comfort. My head was bowed as I tried to push myself into Shadow's mind.  I could feel him flicking his head to the sky every few moments, seeming to watch the skies for an attack.  I grimaced. He had blocked me from his thoughts, an impenetrable wall stopping me from tresp*censored*ing.  I could feel that his thoughts were erratic and tension seemed to be rolling off of his pelt in waves. I pulled my thoughts back and tightened my grip on Zane's hand, suddenly needing comfort while Shadow's emotions flowed through me.

Maksis hopped off of Sasori's back, suddenly having the urge to walk and release energy. Worry knotted in his stomach as the large panther walked confidentally. He could tell by the twitching of her tail-tip that she was worried. They were walking a few yards away from Shadow, Taylor, and Zane, but Sasori kept glancing at Shadow and looking up at the sky. His emotions swirled and loneliness coursed through him. It was his own loneliness and depression and he made sure to block it from Sasori's mind. Taylor had been so busy spending time with Zane lately, that it seemed she had forgotten about him. He bowed his head and his confident steps turned to shuffling as he trudged through the forest.

Lunar growled menacingly at Crux. "When I tell you to do something, you obey. Dagger can do what he likes, but when I give the order, you pups better snap to it," she bellowed. Her humanlike structure shivered as she sat down on the ground. She raked one claw across the ground. "Tomorrow is going to be the Lunar Eclipse. Shadow and the other Spirits will be weak then, but only for a moment. That night, their strength will still falter. They will expect an attack. We wait for them to tire themselves out, waiting for an attack, then we strike the next night."
