Daire stepped close and held the rose out to her, nodding slightly. "Yeah, I did. Do you like it?" he asked, hoping she would. It was a corny gift, in his opinion, but he thought that a girl from a higher cl*censored* would like a corny gift.

Sam took it and held it up to her nose, inhaling the scent. She looked back at him and smiled. "I love it." She said as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I'm glad you do," Daire murmured, wrapping his own arms around Sam's waist in return. He glanced up at her window, suddenly worried. "What if someone sees us out here, Sam...? Maybe one of the maids are up or something, and they see us and..." He shook his head, "I don't even want to think."

"I hadn't even thought of that!" Sam groaned, glancing up at the window herself. "I don't want to go back yet though. Maybe...Maybe just for a bit we could leave."

Daire looked back down at Sam, one eyebrow cocked. "Really? You'd leave in the middle of the night with me?" he asked, perfectly surprised. Well, if that happened, I don't know if we'd ever come back. he thought, laughing a little in his head.

"I believe that is what I just said." She said, giving him a slight smile. "Besides, I would like to think that I can trust you. But if not," She turned away from him, taking a few steps back towards the house, "If not, I'll just go back to my room so we don't get caught."

"A-alright," Daire stammered, and then he smiled, too. "Let's go," he said softly, pulling Sam along. "We'll have to climb over a wall, but I think I might be able to carry you on my back over it, Sam. You're really light,"

"Oh, are you sure? I don't want to trouble you or have you get hurt or anything." She was starting to doubt whether or not they should actually leave. What if he fell or something? Or they ended up getting caught?

Daire laughed a little loudly, then slapped his hand over his mouth, eyes widening. "...I'm sure," he whispered, cowering slightly now. "I'll be fine. Just walk along walls and trees, and you'll blend right into the shadows. Trust me," He smiled.

"Don't think about how I know these things," Daire said, grinning now. He pulled Sam into the shadows then, and started creeping along a wall, happy that rich neighborhoods tended to be filled with lush plantation.

Daire had to bite his tongue to keep from laughing. "You say the weirdest thing sometimes, Sam," he murmured, smiling. "Alright, here's the wall we have to climb over." he said after a while, and he stood up straight, examining his surrounds. "There's a big tree over there. One of the branches goes over the wall, and I should probably hit myself for not noticing it before. But anyway, we could climb up that tree rather than a wall with no support, and then we could just jump off the wall."

She stuck her tougnue out. "Well, I may say some weird stuff but I at least wouldn't have missed a gaint tree. I mean, it's right there, Daire." She started to walk towards it. "But at least you saw it now instead of trying to scale the wall again."

"What? Don't think I can do it myself?" Sam glanced back at Daire. "Well, I'll have you know that you are probably right. But I at least want to try." She told him as she jumped up and grabbed a low hanging branch.

"Fine, try." Daire shrugged, then pulled himself up the same branch Sam was hanging on. He grinned down at her, stepping up on another branch. "Your upper body is really weak," he commented, sitting down on his branch. "I'll wait for you here~"
