Due to your personality evaluation, your teacher have decided that any of these three Pokemon would be a good fit:

Eevee

Totodile

Mareep

Now you have to choose:  Which One?

((Your reply must be about you choosing your Pokemon, and end with the opening of your pokedex!  Don't forget the egg moves either!  Here's a link to Eevee's egg moves:

Totodile's:

And Mareep's:

((OOC- Egg Moves: Detect, Covet, Edure, and Tackle for it's starter move)

Finally, the day had come. I was pacing, impatient, in the room of the trainer's school. The day I would choose my first Pokemon! The nerves ate at me. What Pokemon would I be offered, I wondered. Every noise had my head whipping around, convinced that it was finally time. After what seemed like forever, finally, finally, I heard footsteps echoing down the hall. I looked up as  the pokemon were brought in and set on the table in front of me, labeled for ease. Totodile, Eevee, and Mareep. My mood turned professional. I needed to do this as efficiently and businesslike as possible.
As I looked over the three choices of Pokemon, first looking at the Totodile. It certainly looked like a strong little thing, in my opinion, but I wasn't too keen on being bitten by those teeth. I returned it to the Pokeball. Next, the Eevee. I called it out into the room, and looked down at the brown little body. It was cute, to be sure, and I had heard of all the different adaptions they could make... But it's best to see all of the options. After all, this was serious business. I returned it also.
Last, I considered the Mareep, and after calling it out from it's ball, reached out to pet it's head, making sure to avoid it's charged fur. It was warm, and I could feel a tingling fro the electricity in it's wool. I opened my mouth, but withdrew my hand. I returned it, and closed my eyes for a moment, before choosing the ball in the middle and calling Eevee out again. I held my hand out to the Eevee, and gently petted it's head, picking it up and holding it against my body. I was sold.
"I'll take this one, please." I said, letting the Pokemon down again. I pulled the Pokedex I had gotten from the professor up, examining the interface as it lit up.

((Eevee--Great Choice!!  Were you surprised at the Totodile and Mareep I put in for your other starter choices?  But I digress.  Anyways, the next post should be about you checking out your Pokedex, then nicknaming and getting to know your partner.))
After the whole class had finished choosing their partners, one of your professors started to speak.
"This is a Pokedex," she sayed, holding the same color pokedex you examined a few minutes before.  "It is practically a--oh what is it? Nintendo 3ds?--yes, one of your Nintendo game boxes."
Your Professor pluged the Pokedex into her computer, letting the whole class see the basic mechanics of registering a Pokemon.  She nimbly opened the Pokedex in the same manner that you did.  When you get a closer look at the computer screen you can see that the bottom screen was blank, and the top screen was a box with enough room for six Pokemon to be displayed.
After setting down the Pokedex for a moment, the Professor called out a Pidgey.  "And this is how you register," she said.
She then aimed her Pokedex at the Pidgey and pressed the two side buttons once again. A red light scaned the Pidgey, and a picture of it appears in one of the six blank boxes. She then explained that the dex will hold information for all of the Pokemon that you capture, and that you can edit which Pokemon it displays as your party Pokemon manually.
"The rest of the controls you have already learned in 'Basic Pokedex Handling', I take it?" she asked, getting a round of nodding in return.
"If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!" she finished.

(Yeah, I was really surprised with Totodile! I almost got sold an the Mareep, Flaffy is one of my favorite Pokemon. But Eevee seemed too good to pass up! X3 I would have thought that because it was so popular, Eevee wouldn't be available as a starter, you know? But it's cool that I got one. Oh, thanks! *bookmarks for reference* Oh, and being a Soulsilver player, I have to ask, may I travel with one of my pokemon out of their ball, like in Heartgold/Soulsilver?)
I watch the professor with half-awe, half excitement. Once she finished explaining, I petted the Eevee in my lap and let it down, scanning it. While I listened to the message, I watched the Eevee, and mulled over a nickname. I petted it and looked over at my pokedex. It was female, it seemed. The pokedex spewed a couple sentences in a mechanical feminine voice.
"Eevee has an unstable genetic makeup that suddenly mutates due to the
environment in which it lives. Radiation from various stimuli causes this
 Pokémon to evolve.
" I nodded, and closed the Pokedex, picking my Eevee up again. I hummed, petting her and watching as she bounced in my lap.
"How does Syren sound?" I asked, stroking her back. I chuckled and batted at her paws. "Yeah, I think Syren is good." I suddenly remembered I had a Pokepuff my mother gave me. I pulled it out and unwrapped it, holding it out to Syren. She took a dubious bite before chirring happily and eating the rest with quick bites. I laugh and pet her some more when she finishes, picking her up and holding her to my chest like a young baby. Syren batted my nose playfully before climbing onto my shoulders and headbutting against my head like a Skitty. I leaned my on her in a show of affection back while I registered my name in the Pokedex. I watched the other students, wondering if it was time to leave yet.

((You can keep them ALL out of their Pokeballs if you want!  And cool, another SoulSilver player!  How far along are you?  I'm still trying to get my male Togepi up to a reasonable level to take down Morty. (Yay Extrasensory Togepi!)))

As you were watching the other students leave, a few of them caught your eye.  First was Anabel, a Bulbasaur trotting by her side.  You had never really socialized with her, so most of what you knew was her fascination with Grass and Bug types.  Following close behind her were Ryan and Bryan, the twins.  Ryan was holding an Abra in his arms, whilst Bryan was walking side by side with a Machop.
More and more students poured out, but only two more caught your eye.  Lacey(a blond girl with a Pichu on her shoulder.) was about to head outside when something stopped her.  A Scyther.
"Great job, Strike," said Rob, the class's bully.  Everyone quickly got out of the way to let him pass.  No one dared to cross him.  You and Syren were watching this event with wide eyes(at least Syren was.  You were familiar with this sort of event.), when you felt someone tap your shoulder.
It was Jack, a close friend of yours.  "Hey there, Milleni.  Meet Nocty, the Hoothoot," he said, looking up at the Pokemon hopping on his head.  "What did you get?"

(Okay, cool! Completely finished! Well, with the story anyway. Now I'm just training all my Pokemon to level 100. Takes time. And yes, Togepi with extrasensory is definitely amazing combo.)
I looked around, taking note of everyone's pokemon. They all looked like good ones! I made an almost growl noise when I saw Rob and his scyther though. Always rude, always selfish. I could tell thet that Pokemon and any others he captured would be in for a rough time. I felt bad for them.
I glared at Strike and Rob as they exited- subtly, as always. I patted Syren's head gently, trying to seem reassuring, but she still got a bit scared and hid in my hair. She was nestled quite tightly against the back of my neck too. It was then that Jack tapped my shoulder.
"Of hey Jack! Hehe, he's cute." I was suddenly feeling bubbly- I had someone to show my Pokemon off to! I smiled and detangled Syren from my hair.
"This is Syren, she's an Eevee!" I said cheerily, holding her. Syren got up and climbed back onto my shoulder with a huff. She reached out and batted at Nocti.

Nocty wasn't too pleased with Syren's attempt to touch him.  "Hoot!" he said, taking a staggered flight.  You and Jack laughed at this before he placed the Owl Pokemon back on his head.
"So anyway, want to go outside, and then register our starters in each others' dexes?" Jack asked, smiling.

((Sorry it's so short, but I've got to get going quick!))

Syren churred in happiness, watching Nocty fly around in moderately quiet amusement. She settled back down on my shoulder, her toffee-brown tail brushing over my face. I giggled and followed Jack outside. I lipped open the Pokedex, clicked the buttons and aimed.
Hoothoot has an internal organ that senses and tracks the earth's
rotation. Using this special organ, this Pokémon begins hooting at
precisely the same time every day.
It said, and I nodded as my Pokedex finished registering before asking Jack a question.
"So... wanna battle?" I asked excitedly.

"I'll take you up on that challenge," Jack said.  "But first let's look around."  And so you did.
It was definitely a party.  All of the graduates had their families there to celebrate.  A third of the people there were at the buffet line, stuffing their plates with food.  Another third were talking animatedly at the tables in between.  And everyone else was battling.  Specifically on holographic fields, made to replicate the ones in gyms.
"Ready to go over there?" Jack asked, Nocty once more flying around his trainer's head.
