Riku walked along the bank, fish followed him as he stepped into the icy water. He liked the feel of the cooling liquid and the fish began to rub against his ankles. He smiled and continued to walk in the bank. His black hair fell over his shoulders and down to the middle of his back. He breathed in deeply and could smell the forest air and pine needles. He smiled and tripped over a stone. He landed on the lap of some boy sitting on the bank. his cheeks lit up with color. He was so embaras.sed! How in the world did he land here!

Riku quickly got up. His cheeks still flushed. He looked at Dakota. THe boy was rather cute. He shook his mind free and was finally able to talk in a low but velvet smooth voice. "I-I go to the school that's just down the street from here... I-In the forest clearing.." He sat up and grabbed his hair, squeezing all the water from it before he pulled it back into a ponytail. Strands of hair in the front of his head remained there. He looked at Dakota. "I"m Riku... And Im fine.. His hand stung. He looked down onto to realized he had scratched himself on the rocks. He hid his hand, not wanting to bother Dakota. "What school do you go to?"

Jake, a raven on the tree branch, looked at his bother and shifted into a human. The branch, however, couldn't hold his human form's weight and he dropped. He landed behind a bush and he quickly shifted into a fox. He ran through the bushed, jumped over the river and landed on Dakota's lap. He curled up and looked at his brother, giving a fox's smile.

Riku looked at Dakota, he was rather surprised the boy could tell. he looked at him. "I-I'm a third year... I wasn't promoted I should have been a 4th year." he looked at teh fox and grabbed him by the scuff of his neck. He shook it slightly and glared. "you... Why!" He dropped the fox as it shifted into his human form.

Kyin smiled and landed on all fours. "Me?! What about you! Being so nervous!" he smiled and looked at Dakota. "Kyin. And I'm a third year as well." he looked at Riku, who was obviously angry or upset. He shifted into his fox form and looked at Riku.

Riku grabbed the fox. "This is my shifter brother... As you can see already." He sighed and dropped the fox on the floor befor ehe pulle dout a pen and pad of paper. He brgan to sketch out the fox and the human. He looked at Dakota and flipped to the next page. he brgan to draw teh boy. "Are you a shifter as well? I can smell soemthing different about you."

Riku jumped and looked down. He realized he had started drawing. He put the paper pad in his bag and looked at dakota. "Ahh.. Not really.. But why only one thing?" He stood up and sat down next to Dakota. He kept his brother at bay and smiled. "well, Dakota... We both go to the same school." he smiled and shifted into a wolf, it's black silk-like fur grazing Dakota's arm. "So what are you going to do?" His tail swished around and he nuzzled against Dakota. He rested his head on Dakota's lap. "well, what do you want to do for now? Your my first friend besides my brother."

Kyin growled and he shifted into a brown wolf. He growled and looked at Riku. "Your being awefully mean to me. Your own brother." he ran over and sat on the other side of Daktoa. "Don't worry about petting me.. I'm always getting pet because I usually take on teh shifts of normal house pets." He placed his head on Dakota's shoulder.

Riku's eyes followed Dakota's every move. They were gracious and beautiful at the same time.It was lovely and very sweet. He stood up on all fours and nuzzled Dakota's coyote form. He smiled and licked his cheek. "Well that's a beautiful werewolf you are... It's so lovely and nice.." he smiled and curled up next to Dakota. The ease he felt near the boy and the warmth. "Well, to answer your question. Of course we are friends. I don't nuzzle anybody and I'm very happy to have met someone else that shifts." he smiled and nuzzled Dakota. His tail wrapped around Dakota's, a sign of affection. His heart raced and his stomach filled with butterflies. He couldn't help but to want something more with this boy. He was adorable in his coyote and human form.

Kyin looked at Dakota's coyote. "wow.. You really are beautiful." he smiled and walked to the river, lapping water before he shifted into a cat. He was hungry.

Dakota turned to Riku "nah,im just a coyote....not even a werewolf...but you,not to be blunt but you gorgeous,my friend" He smiled rasing his eyes brows.Blood changed to lava when Riku got close like that.His heart and mind raced.Making him clumsy and slur his words.Smiling at his words. "i....i..i hope that.....we could be more....than friends" Dakota spoke slowly as fear filled him,he didnt want to ruin a friendship by saying that.But life was short and could end easily.Something he knew all to well.Maybe it was good that he went out on a limb like this.Maybe even if rejection came it was better than forever wishing there was more.It was all happening so fast but Dakota was so alone,ecstacy was the only emotion he was around this boy.He felt like he could trust him instantly and that was tough to say.Dakota scooted in closer next to Riku so that they were touching,and leaned it lightly touching his nose to his.Then pulling away as kyin spoke.Unsure of what his brother thought of all this

Riku smiled and pressed his nose to Dakota's. He could already tell the boy's emotion was mosly lust. He licked the boy's snout and shifted back into a human. "Well... I wouldn't mind... I've never been in a relationship... Your beautiful either way.. And I don't care if your a werewolf or not. It couldn't really matter.. Now.. Become human.. I wish to kiss you.." he smiled and his hair came undone from the pnytail. His midnight black hair falling over his shoulders. He placed one hand on the coyote's front paw, or Dakota's human hand, and put the other on the grass, to support himself. He leaned in, waiting for Dakota to become a human.

Kyin looked at Riku and Dakota. His own heart thumped when he saw how cute the two were. He wanted somehting like that, but he wasn't going to settle for anybody. He wanted the beautiful Dakota. The half werewolf child was such a beautiful being and Kyin couldn't help but want him. His normally icy blue eyes turned into auburn. Lust was quickly filling every organ and he couldn't help but let out a small pant of ecstacy.

Dakota smiled and shifted into his human form eagerly.His heart pounded,he could hear it thudding in his ears.Stragely enough no one had ever kissed him before.A mix of emotions boiled inside him lust,anxiety,excitment and maybe...something more.Something he had never felt before.No one had ever given him a compliment before it felt so odd Words couldnt describe how great Riku was....he was nothing.No one since the accident had ever cared about him.They looked down on him as a criminal.Feeling an punch in the stomache when he realized he would have to tell Riku.But he couldnt let himself think about it now.Aching to kiss riku Getting the hair out of his eyes.He saw Rikus long amazing hair,it made him smile.While Riku had leaned in,Dakota moved forward and pressed his lips to Riku's passionately kissing him.Tilting his head to the side and wrapping his arms around him.Dakota's hands shook with nervousness,hoping that Riku felt as much for him as he did.Everything was so new and so fast and yet...so wonderful.Dakota pulled his mouth away but still had his arms wrapped around Riku's and layed his head on his shoulders.Whispering in his ears. "i want to get to know more about you,stay with me here tonight....i dont care if we have school tomorrow i want to talk to you,we just met and yet i feel like we were meant to be together.....your amazing"He said so honestly and true.His heart filled with happiness and warmth with each second he held onto riku,never wanting to let go. He opened his eyes,that were still yellow,wild and unruly.They shifted torward Kyin by the rivernseeing his eyes flash red.Instantly knowing what kyin thought about Dakota.It confused him for a second.Of course he liked Riku...maybe...maybe even love but Kyin? he never thought about it that way.What would it be like? Kyin was good looking too.He shook his head in shame and guilt.No,no,no....just no he couldnt do that to Riku.....but still.Dakotas head swirled with curiousity,shame and confusion.

Riku smiled and looked at Dakota. "Hey.. Where do you usually stay at? I rather stay at your home than mine.." he wrapped his arms around Dakota and put his head on dakota's shoulder before he shifted into a wolf again. He laid his head on Dakota's lap and gave a dog like pur. He smiled and closed his eyes, wanting to fall asleep here.. But He knew Daktoa would probably prefer a bed or something along those lines. He nuzzled the boy and his tail wagged.

Kyin sighed and walked over. "hey... Where would you like to sleep tonight? Our father doens't want us home today because we broke a mirror that belonged to his dead grandma.. pfft.." Ge growled and shifted into a cat. He walked over to the two and curled up next to Dakota. His tail swished around and he purred gently.

Riku looked at Dakota. "no... Oh dakota.." He shifted into his human form, his midnight hair falling over his shoulders. He pulled it back and tied it with a red ribbon. He looked at Dakota. His eyes softening and filling with tears of worry. "oh Dakota..." He grabbed the boy and pulled him up, wrapping his arms around him tightly. "You shouldn't think that way. You are not his problem.." He kissed Dakota's head and wiped his eyes. "please don't cry.. I would rather not see you cry.. I want to see you smile.." He hugged Dakota tightly.

Kyin walked over and shifted into his human form. He wrapped his arms around Daktoa and Riku. He hugged Dakota tightly. "Listen... We have a home around here. Our father isn't very nice, but we can get him drunk and he;ll fall asleep... If you want to stay with us, that would be just fine. We have a warm bed and nice blackets for you to use. What do you say?" He kissed Dakota's cheek.
