Here she was again, being forced into a carriage by her soon-to-be former 'master,' who had just sold her. Yeah, here she was, Payten Howlett, a human being, being sold again. She was one of those really stubborn slaves; the ones that you wanted 'cause they were strong and skilled but wouldn't listen well unless you threatened her greatly. Her red hair was pulled out of face into a loosely-held ribbon, so all the dirt caked on her face was clear. She had seen her new master once before, at the auction where he'd bought her. He was young, or at least young-looking. Being sold more times than she could remember, she recalled that the younger masters were usually not as cold, yet, she knew these people could be very unpredictable.
