Lowering his arms, Zander raised his deep blue eyes to meet her almost black ones. ''I'm Zander.'' He says, thinking about how unusual this girl is. Different to the type of girls who used to flock around him and his buddies like morons. Without holding his hand out, or any other sign of greeting whatsoever, he walked away from the cliff. He turned and smiled at her, beginning to walk backwards. Paige was a nice name, he decided. Well-suited to this nice girl. ''D'you wanna go anywhere?'' He asked, bored. ''Maybe we could go watch a movie.'' He cracked a grin. Sneaking into the movies would take on a whole new meaning from now on. It wasn't like anyone could stop him, was it? He looked up. The sun was setting, but he felt refreshed still, as if he had just woken up. That was how he had felt when he died. Refreshed, and full of life. That is, until he hit those churning waters, and drowned.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

Paige followed Zander as he turned around and asked her if she wanted to go to the movies, "Sure why not." Paige walked with Zander up the cement steps covered in tan sand as they left the beach. As they walked towards the movie theatre Paige looked around at the people who they passed. Some of them were dead but most were very much alive. As they got to the theatre Paige looked up at what movies were playing. There was a sappy romantic movie, a horror and a movie for todlers. She turned to Zander, "Which one do you want to watch?" she asked. Romantic movies weren't her type of movie but she would be willing to watch it with him just like she watched them with her mom on some saturday nights. The horror movie seemed more interesting. Paige didn't know why but they usually made her laugh. The todler movie she wasn't really into either but sometimes her and her friends would come to the movies and watch them just for kicks so they could be fun sometimes.

''Hehe, what do you think? I'm a horror man all the way, baby.'' He said, laughing, joking with her just like he had joked with his friends. He read what screen it was playing at, before waving her over in that direction, and walking backwards again. Walking backwards as a ghost was fun. You could walk straight through people, and they didn't start shouting or complaining or going bananas on him. He began wondering if she would have rather watched the rmance, but pushed that thought aside. She seemed more like the one to want to watch a horror than a sappy chick flick.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

"I was hopeing you would say that." Paige grinned mischeiviously before following Zander, "Whats with you and walking backwards." Paige asked smiling a bit still as they took their seats in the back row. Paige looked down at the people in the rows below them. She could yell at them and they wouldn't know she was there.

''I don't know. Just a habit, I guess.'' Zander replied, leaning back and waiting for the movie to start. He hoped no one sat on him. He wondered what the movie would be about. Would it be one of those psychological thrillers, or just gore and blood and guts? He liked psychological much better. They required at least some degree of skill to produce.

The theatre darkened as the movie began. Paige watched the screen in front intently as the movie started. The beginings weren't he favorite part she just thought of it as an introduction to the movie that sadly was nessisary for the movie to be scary. Though she never found horror movies scary much. For her they were more a comede than a horror but she enjoyed to watch them non the less. That isn't to say things didn't scare Paige just she got scared by diffrent things like for instance little girls scared her. She didn't think it possible to be so inoccent and not be plotting something in that little mind that was hiden by soft thin hair and giant eyes that aparently were so adorable.

Zander watched the movie, smiling. It was one of his favourite types, with both psychological and physical horror. The basic plot wasn't too complex, just right, with the plot twists varied and unusual. The actors were good, the characters were believable, and there was actually some probabiltiy that this film could be a look inside some crazy madmans distorted mind. He grinned at that fact. What were these producers doing in his head?

Paige couldn't help but let out a quieted laugh as she watched a scene play out in the vitims head. It was funny how paniced the guy was that this mad man was going to rip him limb from limb and create a frankinstien type monster with some of his body and all he could do was sit there. She had been called freak in the past when she had gone out on dates with guys and they took her to go see horror movies probably hoping to scare her into their laps and came out of the movie dissapointed and slightly freaked out by her. Paige didn't care though she got a free movie out of it.

Zander was beginning to laugh too. This movie had started out good, but now... it was more like a comedy, really. He sighed deeply, looking at the girl sat next to him. Wow, she was cute. Could ghosts be cute? This one definitely could, he decided.

Paige felt Zander looking at her. She didn't feel uncomfortable by any means. Infact she kind of enjoyed the feeling. She turned and looked at him. He was looking at her kind of wierd, "What?" she asked a slight laugh in her voice and small smile on her pale pink lips. This was a nice date. No it wasn't a date. They had just met it couldn't be a date. Or maybe it was. Paige had a strange feeling in her stomach but she liked it. She looked back to the screen as the lights of theatre turned back on. She looked back at Zander, "Guess the movies over."

''I guess so.'' Zander said ruefully. That meant they had to leave, and leaving meant he didn't have an excuse to watch Paige. Standing up, he held out his hand to help her get up, to be 'gentleman' like. This had been a good date. But was it a date? Did Paige consider it a date, or did she consider it two friends hanging out? He wasn't sure at all.

"Darn." Paige said taking Zanders hand to get up. She didn't need help getting up but she didn't want to be rude, plus she kind of wanted an excuse to hold his hand even if it was only for s moment. "I hear that there's a fair down town if you want to go." Paige said hoping that Zander might want to go with her.

"Alrighty then." Paige said walking down the steps and rounding the corner to get out of the theatre. She realized that she was still holding onto Zanders hand. She figured tha since he hadn't let go that he was OK with it so she didn't let go either. The sun had fully set by now and the trees of the town had small white lights twirled around their trunks and branches providing extra light to the side walks.Paige made a right turn out of the theatre and walked down a couple blocks where she made another right across a street and headed straight towards the colorful lights and faint sound of fair music. Fro where they were they could see a giant slow twirling fairest wheel adorn with many bright colored lights set in patterns. The rest of the rides were hiden by houses but as they walked closer they started to become visible. |

''Wow, it's looking nice tonight, isn't?'' Zander asked her, as he saw the sparkling lights of the fairground, heard the fun music invade his ears, blocking out any thoughts other than those of fun. Any thoughts besides the fact that Paige hadn't asked him to let go of her hand, that is. He kept a light grip, tight enough that his hand didn't slip, but loose enough that she could release his grasp, if she chose to. Taking the lead, he headed straight for something he thought would be funny. A large, darkly painted, ghost train. ''Say, wanna go on the ghost train? Thought it's be kinda ironic, y'know?''

"It dose." Paige said looking up at the lights high above them. Paige liked color which her friends though was weird since she hardly ever wore any color other than black white or gray but it was true.She loved almost all colors, except pink and yellow. Paige followed Zander to the ghost train and laughed slightly. "Irony is my best friend so why not." Paige said. sitting down in one of the empty seats patting the spot next to her for Zander to sit down even though it was highly unlikly that he would sit any where else.

Zander smirked at her comment, letting her choose where they sat. Sliding in next to her, he hoped no one would sit on them. Luckily, his hopes came true, and no one squashed the pair as the ride started. Eerie music played loudly, drowning out the merry sounds of the fair behind them, as the doors opened and they descended into blackness.
