Well, here we are, I hope you don't mind the ti[injection]tle. Do we want to start out with our dragons as not-yet-found eggs, eggs, hatchlings, or adults?

Also, one last thing; I haven't been able to get my hands on the last book as of yet, so I'm not sure how the story concludes. xD

Well, why don't we start out by making bios? XD Unless you don't like bios for 1x1's. We should lay out a basic desc[injection]ription of our charries, bios or not. For example, what species, general appearance, etc.

Well, I can give you a very broad summary, as Inheritance was over 800 pages and I'm a terrible summarizer (is not a word). 8D

Okey, let's see here...

Well, I have a terrible memory, but here's a good website. :D http://inheritance.wikia.com/wiki/Inheritance_(book)

Crud, I shouldn't have listened to that at the same time as a piano. xD

-sob-

Anyway, BIOs are perfectly fine. It will take me a while to make mine, feel free to post.

Name:
Akalamora Calvendraas

Gender:
Female

Age:
Fifty

Race:
Elf

Appearance:
Akalamora is young for an elf, and is exceptionally beautiful, even for one of elven blood. She has golden, radiant, flawless skin that sparkles and gleams. She's lithe and supple, with a muscular, yet slender build. Akalamora is mostly thin and graceful with the sleekness of a ballerina, but is also slightly curvy in some places. Akalamora has long, thin fingers that are delicate and strong. Her dexterity is amazing, and she is ambidextrous with both her hands and feet.
Akalamora has an angular, heart-shaped face with long, midnight hair as dark as a raven's wing. Her hair falls in a waterfall of thick, glossy ringlets to her elbow. Akalamora, like every other elf, has slanted eyebrows and angular eyes like a cat's. Her eyes are huge and more circular than other elves. One of her eyes is blue with honey-amber flecks, and her other eye is green with bronze-golden flecks. Her lashes are long and bluish, and her hair is so dark that is never looks brown in sunlight - it has a blue sheen to it in even the faintest of lights. Her lips are Cupid's bow shaped, and are cherry-red. Her high cheekbones are prominent and are like small plums. Her cheeks are rosy and have a healthy pink flush to them.

Personality:
To be RP'ed out. (Too lazy. XD)

History:
Meh... O_O

(( Sorry, just having a bit of trouble with creating characters. I was, like, obsessed with Inheritance for years. xD Came up with so many chars, I'm having trouble choosing one. ))

Name: Jayne Rook
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Race: Human
Appearance: Tall, medium - narrow shoulders. He has light beige skin, and creamy chocolate hair to go with it. His eyes are a clear, vibrant cobalt blue, that stand out against almost anything else. He has a slightly squarish, heart-shaped face, and a bold look about him. His body is well sculpted, although he isn't burly. His hands and feet are callused from years of working as a blacksmith's apprentice, and a few, pale scars mottle his fingers where molten metal hissed or splattered onto him. Most would consider him quite handsome.
Personality: Just like you.
History: Same. xD

((Sure. :3 Maybe Jayne could be exploring in the edges of Du Weldenvarden and that's how he and Akalamora meet? Just a suggestion. XD))

Thud. Thud. Thud. A man was chopping down several elfin trees with a thick axe, splinters flying and trees shrieking and weeping with loss.
Akalamora knelt in the soft grass, sensing the pulsing throbs of light emanating from the life forces in the lush forest. Her dark hair fell around her like a shadowy, glossy waterfall. Her bowstring was pulled back to its full extent, the swan feather on the end of the juniper wood arrow brushing against her rosy cheekbones. She let the arrow fly, the projectile slicing through the air with a dangerous grace as it embedded itself deep into its target. The man dropped dead immediately, the wound a fatal strike to his heart.
"Death be upon you," Akalamora whispered in the ancient language, removing her juniper arrow from the limp corpse of the invader. "Mortals may not walk our blessed woods, and they certainly may not chop down our trees, the life force of our music and existence."
The trespasser's pale, blonde hair was now stained scarlet with the tears from his wound pooling over his entire body.
"There will be no return from our eternal home," Akalamora spoke elegantly to the victim of her anger at his cutting down trees. "But you were not a villain," She decided calmly. "Sé mor'ranr ono finna." May you find peace.

(( Forgive me if I'm a bit rusty at first, it's been years since I read any of the books. ))

Jayne walked cautiously through the deep, vast woods, the forest spreading as far as he could see and more. His footsteps were light and quiet, but he knew, where he was intruding, it wouldn't make the slightest difference. The ivory of his bow glistened with the golden specks of light that filtered through the leaves, dancing over his motionless frame. He had frozen in his tracks, listening to the life around him. The man believed he had heard something stir, but after a minute of absolutely nothing showing itself, he dared to continue on his path.

He followed a game trail down the shallow slope of a hill, listening to a creek burbling at the base. He paused occasionally, stooping low to the ground to run his finger over a track, or to study the color of a wildflower growing along the path. Jayne was merely exploring; winding his way through the hills and gorges. He went slowly, but cautiously. The last thing he needed was to find an arrow lodged in his chest.

((Pretty banner. 8U *pokes achro Zennie*))

Akalamora rose from her position and glanced around, her senses heightened. She heard the almost silent stride of another person, a mortal, not a fellow elf. Narrowing her striking eyes suspiciously, Akalamora once again melted into the shadows, the consciousnesses of every organism in the coniferous forest pressing into her like a psychotic daydream.
Her yew bow was sung from a tree by herself, and painted roses and vines wrapping around the bow were painted a multitude of colors. Akalamora's colorful gaze rested on a low, humble hill. Songbirds fluttered from tree to tree, and the chattering of squirrels and mice was like music to her ears.
Smiling widely, Akalamora slung her bow over her back and spread her palms open wide, strumming a haunting, lilting lullaby. The melodies thrummed and echoed, bouncing along to the throbbing beat of the forest. The animals paused in their wanderings and chores and skittered over to the majestic elf. A vibrant, wild ex
pression overcame Akalamora, and her song became harmonic and stronger as she sang in the ancient language, of stories of old and nearly forgotten legends only preserved by the intellect of the elfish folk. A cardinal rested on Akalamora's slender fingertips as her possessive, magical song causing the birds to squeal along as their melodious voices shattered the stars themselves and peals of great laughter shook from their small orange jaws.
"Sing, my friends," Akalamora let out a ringing of bell-like, musical laughter. Her chuckles rolled off of her tongue and spread like an infection from the animals gathered around her to the trees as they swayed their steadfast branches to the skipping of the wind.

Suddenly, a noise startled Akalamora and her singing ceased. The animals fled and the trees stopped their dutiful waltz. The breeze's breathless gasps quieted and the air was as still as the surprised elf.
Nearly nonexistent vibrations from carefully placed feet reached her nerves and her sharp ears. Her multi-colored eyes searched the splotches and dapples of the tree's spotty shadows. Akalamora disappeared, trekking toward the nearby creek.

Once she reached the creek, she saw no one else, but could almost sense a presence close by. She glanced around, unsure of whether to reveal herself in daylight or to stay in the foliage, fringed by leaves and pine needles brushing her thick hair.
A glimmer and a flash of the sparkling water caused her throat to sting with thirst. Akalamora had to quench her need for drink, as she had forgotten to bring a waterskin with her.
"Barzul," Akalamora uttered a common, yet vulgar, dwarf curse and hesitantly stuck her button nose into the air. She reached out with her consciousness, and discovered a mortal's mind as he hid, exploring the edges of Du Weldenvarden. She contemplated offensively attacking his mind, but decided against it. Akalamora could not sense any unfortunate motives of the stranger. She reached her fantasy mind forward, inching closer to his consciousness. When their minds finally touched, Akalamora narrowed her eyes, concentrating on not breaking the bond.

(( Yell at me if I'm wrong, but I do believe most people (if not before associated with magic) can't sense another probing their mind, no? Gotta ask this before I go on. xD Oh, and I just made this for myself this morning. Now I just have to figure out how to animate it. ))

(( Alright. Again, poke me if I get something wrong, kay? ))

Jayne felt a shiver run down his spine as he slowly rose to his full height, gaze flickering over the wooded hill. He didn't see anything, but a moment later, the chill returned. It set him on edge, and left him confused and a bit worried. Taking a shallow breath, he wasn't sure whether to stay frozen, or to leave before whoever... or whatever... was watching him decided to attack.

Suddenly, the strangest sensation started gnawing at his gut. There wasn't really a way to describe it, but he was certain something wasn't right. It felt as if something was in his mind, testing his conscious. In a primal, untrained state, the only thing he could think of to do was push back. He tried to shove out the intruder, then, in a manner of speaking, tried to shut his mind and block them out.

(( He's never experienced anything like this, so he hasn't the slightest idea what to do or how to do it. xD ))

((XD Poor Jayne. He must feel violated.))

Akalamora felt the stranger's mind tense up, and she gently continued forward into his mind, straying away from his memories. She had no need to invade his privacy.
I am Akalamora Calvendraas of the Elves. I mean you no harm, unless you have malicious objectives. The forests of Du Weldenvarden are wild and untouched, and the last thing the Elves need is a mortal who plans to destroy our trees.
State your business here, friend.
Akalamora said all this to Jayne first in the ancient language, and she repeated it using the language of his tongue.
Akalamora decided to show herself, and stepped into Jayne's sight. She spread her palms wide and held out her arms as if to allow Jayne to behold the sight of one of Elvish blood.
"Greetings, Jayne Rook," Akalamora bowed slightly and twisted her wrist in the fashion that elves greet each other.
"Atra esterní ono thelduin." Akalamora smiled a crooked, breathtaking grin. "May good fortune rule over you, human."
Her obsidian ringlets cascaded around her shoulders, gleaming and flashing with a blue sheen. Her one blue and one green eye glinted with intelligence and grace, the honey-amber and bronze-golden flecks respectively shining.
"My guess is that you have never encountered an elf before." Her smile disappeared and her golden face became serious.

Suddenly there was a strange, whispering, song-like voice in his head, murmuring words in a language he couldn't make sense of at first. Yet suddenly, as if hearing a word a man hasn't heard since he was a young child.

Fricai. Friend.

His eyes widened as the message was repeated in his tongue, but that one word, although seemingly harmless, hung in his mind like a haunting curse. And what stunned him the more was that his translation had been correct.

And then, moving from the brush without so much as stirring a leaf, stood a woman. And elven woman, Jayne was soon to realize. At first, when she spoke, he didn't hear so much as a threatening hint in her soft, trilling voice. The same could not be said at the end of her inquiry.

Jayne hinted for a moment at taking a step back, but after considering the situation for a while, decided to hold his ground. He met the elf's multicolored gaze with his own, crystal blue eyes. At the eye contact, he felt himself hide a shiver once more.

"You would be correct." he said, not bothering to wonder how she knew his name; he felt he already had the answer. Then, in a bold, but soft voice, he added, "I was merely exploring these woods, it was not my intention to disturb you or your kin." he said, blinking. "If I have intruded, I will leave without further conflict." he offered, wondering for a brief moment if the elven woman had any intentions of allowing him to leave. Although he didn't trust the rumors of these creatures, spread throughout the villages on the rim of Du Weldenvarden, he wasn't sure he could trust her. Still, in the back of his mind, something told him she couldn't lie.

(( Lol, yeah. I'd also like to point out, he doesn't realize that one can not lie through the Ancient Language. Besides, he's still not all sure of what to do. Hard to fight something that is in your head. xD ))

((*pats Jayne on the head* It's okay if you feel violated, my friend. There is counseling available. 8U))

Akalamora inclined her head and touched her fingers to her lips, meeting Jayne's gaze calmly. Her gorgeous, exotic face was emotionless when she spoke again, her colorful eyes glittering with grace and royalty.
"Jayne-vodhr," Akalamora hesitated before speaking again. "I trust that you mean no harm to our forest and our people."
Once again she touched her two fingers to her full, cherry-red lips, her round, slanted eyes still holding Jayne's icy blue one. Slightly smirking, Akalamora noted how uncomfortable Jayne was with her level, multicolored gaze. Her one cobalt eye and one forest green eye blinked slowly, and a true and rare smile appeared on her face.
"Fricai onr eka eddyr," Her cat-like, angular face was sincere as she said this. She added more in the ancient language after this statement, though. "However, if you prove yourself to be traitorous, I shall kill you myself."

Akalamora held out her hand, eager to show this peaceful mortal their lands. "Tauthr eka," Follow me.
Akalamora entered his mind once more, this time speaking his tongue once more.
We will converse in your simple tongue, Jayne. Be glad that nothing unfortunate has befallen you yet. it is a great honor to be shown our lands without a consequence.
I will assist you in your exploration of Du Weldenvarden.
Ach neo eitha orono ie wilae yauna onr lifa.
You will stay by my side, and I will stay by yours. Desert me, and face the consequences.
Akalamora added a few more words in a gentler tone. The trill of her sweet, melodic voice was sultry and passionate, yet filled with delicious music, song, and bells.
Jayne-vodhr, as long as you travel my kin's paths with me, no harm will come to you.
She repeated this in the ancient language to reassure him of this, and gave him a small smile, if not a sad one.
