Sculyr followed Taylor out a few seconds later as he finished up buckling the side buckle for his backpack. Stopping just to the right of the Salamance, he pulled out a black and yellow pokeball before tossing up in the air. A while light caused it crack open and soon a long black, dragon-type pokemon was resting on the ground ahead of the psychic. Blinking its yellow irised eyes, it looked towards Whiplash, Taylor, and Shayde before glancing at the boy in front of him.

Sculyr shook his head. "Friends, Ozone," he said simply as the black Rayquaza blew out through his nose in a sign of relief before lowering his head so Sculyr could get on its neck. Right inbetween its horns as he placed his feet on the lower ones.

The Rayquaza raised its head and glanced at the Salamance as if  saying "Well? I'm ready," as if coiled its body underneath itself.

Whiplash snorted softly as the Rayquaza popped out of Sculyr's pokeball, but received a whack in the head from Taylor. He narrowed his eyes and sniffed the air with disdain. Taylor gripped the reigns and tightened her legs against the Salamence's side. Whiplash unfurled his velvety red wings and beat at the air. He pushed upward into the air using his hind legs, dipping his neck down into the air to bring the momentum of his wings up. With powerful downstrokes, he was able to push himself far above the lights of the Pokemon Center.

Shayde had closed his eyes when the rocky movements of Whiplash sent fear down his spine. He tightened his hold on Taylor's waist and closed his dark blue eyes. When Whiplash leveled out in the air, Shayde found himself blinking his eyes open. He glanced down at the city life below and became entranced by the soft lights and stretching space of land.

"I've been trying to get you up here forever, Shay. Like it?" Taylor asked, surprising the Pokemon. He gave her a sheepish grin and glanced back over Salamence's side.

Without the use of wings to carry it into the sky, the Rayquaza grumbled under its breath and launched itself into the air. The fins along its body catching the wind and keeping it aloft as it flew behind the Salamance. Its body moving was like a snake's moving across the land. Slithering, for lack of a better word. Occasionally, it would to a loop-da-loop, causing Sculyr to grin like a fool.

When Ozone became even with Whiplash's tail, Sculyr's eyes glowed softly as he looked over the land below him. Surveying the aura's he spotted. Sometimes he spotted a fear-black cloud as he deduced it was two Pokemon battling. He didn't see any other the evil-blackness though, so that was a good thing. Although he had a bad feeling was was going to see some of that much later.

Night had long since gone from when the two trainers had met. The sunrise loomed over the horizon, its faint rays creating soft pink hues in the skyline. Taylor let her head hold itself high as she let the wind rush up to greet her face. Shayde ducked as her hair whipped him in the face and Taylor chuckled. She clamped her legs as tight as she could around Whiplash's lower part of his neck and pulled out a hair band. She wrapped the hair up in a swift movement and reached to grip the reigns again. A sudden lurch to the right from Whiplash caused Taylor to yell and almost fall off of the Pokemon. Shayde seated her back onto her waist and Taylor clung to the reigns.

She peered into the sky ahead of them and saw a Fearow screeching toward them. "What the," Taylor began before Whiplash pulled himself into a steep dive, narrowly missing the Fearow's outstretched claws. Shayde peered upward with his mouth slightly parted in a silent gasp. He felt his eyes turn a darker shade of purple as he examined the Pokemon's aura. A furious seething black cloud swirled around the Fearow, twisting and winding its way around the helpless Pokemon.

Shayde yanked back on Taylor's shoulder, pointed up toward the Fearow, and slid his paw over his eyes. Taylor's eyes widened and she glanced up. "Sculyr, that's a Shadow. Look at its aura! And watch out!" she yelled up to the rider on the Rayquaza.

"Whip, we gotta take it down," she said, knowing they needed to be rid of the Pokemon before it hurt either of the riders or their Pokemon. Whiplash craned his neck into the air and let out a furious roar. Taylor was going to give the command of a flamethrower, but Shayde stopped her and shook his head.

"Right, we can't hurt Scuyler or Ozone," she said.

Sculyr narrowed his eyes as Ozone reared up in flight. Hovering as its body continued to moved like a writhing snake, the Rayquaza growled low. Threateningly low. It craned its neck and snapped its jaws as its fingers twitched on its small hands. Sculyr patted the black Rayquaza as his eyes started to glow softly.

He saw a deep black aura surround the bird-type Fearrow. Choking out the original and replacing it with black shadowed evil. Sculyr narrowed his eyes as they stopped glowing and emmited a very low curse. How did one end up in the wild? Was it released? His brows knitted together as he attempted to figure out his thoughts.

But that is when Ozone decided to take matters into its own claws.

Diving strate down, Ozone did a cork-screw before climbing back up under the Fearrow. Sculyr had let out a yelp and was now hanging on for the ride. Emmitting a roar, a small yellow sphere started to appear in its open mouth. It grew bigger as Ozone drew closer. Deeming it was close enough, the Rayquaza let out a roar coupled with its Hyper Beam attack that caused it to recoil backwards slightly.

As Ozone released a torrent of yellow light from its mouth, the Fearow was engulfed. When the light died away, the Fearow's wings folded in on itself and the bird began to drop at increasing speed out of the sky. Taylor urged Whiplash down after the bird and he surged downward. The Salamence beat its wings and grasped the Fearow's wings with its claws.

The bird was surprisingly light and Whiplash faced minor difficulty when he approached the ground. He set the bird onto the ground and landed a few feet away. Taylor dismounted the dragon Pokemon and walked over to examine the fainted creature.

Ozone watched the plummeting Fearrow as it growled softly in its throat. Then, it let out its screeching-roar. Announcing to the world that it battled, and won, against a Shadow Pokemon. Sculyr waited patiently to the Rayquaza before directing it to follow Whiplash and Taylor. The black pokemon was reluctant before it floated down to where the Fearrow lay.

Gently easing itself onto the ground, the black Rayquaza spread itself out as it rested its head against the ground as Sculyr slid off its neck. Once the boy was off, it curled around itself as it watched the two trainers.

Sculyr slowly moved over towards Taylor as the examined the fainted shadow pokemon. As he did so, his eyes glowefd as he looked into its aura. It was still black, a bit faint, but it was still black. His eyes narrowed before he glanced at Taylor.

"What could you find out?" he asked.

Shayde lowered himself to the ground beside the Fearow. He let his paw lightly trace over the feathers of the Pokemon's wings. He shivered as the black aura curled around his paw tips and he drew back, frightened now at the sight of the Pokemon. He moved back to where Whiplash was and leaned against the larger Pokemon's leg, his lithe frame shaking again.

Sculyr touched down to the Earth again and Taylor shrugged at the question. "Shay doesn't seem to like it very much," she said sourly as she glanced back at her frightened companion. "We best get out of here before this thing wakes up," she said as she called Whiplash over.

Sculyr nodded in agreement and trotted back up to Ozone. The great Pokemon lowered its head slightly so the psychic could grap a hold of one of the black Rayquaza's upper horns. Sculyr was in his position just as Ozone's head was straight with its neck. Grumbling slightly, the Rayquaza slapped its tail against the ground before it rose up into the air. Circling to get higher as it slithered in the sky.

The blonde-haired psychic lowered his arms so his hands rested on his knees. His blue eyes were glowing once again as he scanned the horizons. It looked like he was looking out for any more of those Shadow Pokemon.

Ooc; I've actually been looking for this. xD I had written a long post and exited out and it discouraged me from writing it again. 8c

Whiplash dipped his head under Taylor's arm. She mounted the Salamence swiftly, Shayde following her lead quickly. Whiplash used his powerful hind legs to kick off of the ground.He snapped open his wings and beat them frivolously to gain more altitude. Under Taylor's commands, the Salamence put as much distance between the fallen Shadow Pokemon and them as possible, tilting in his wings to allow less wind resistance and more speed.

When the ground turned from lush forests to the baking crust of the deserted rurals, Whiplash slowed his pace. Taylor pushed down again on the reigns on his neck and turned the Pokemon into a dive. The Salamence skimmed over the ground, not quite wanting to land just yet. Up in the distance, black tents could be seen waving in the wind. Taylor grimaced.

"The Black Market," she said as Shayde shivered.

Sculyr had Ozone followed the Salamance as Taylor directed them in the direction the Black Market was. The black, snake-like pokemon cut easily through the air, keeping its only limps close to its body to maximize its speed. But it always made sure that it stayed near the Salamance. Because the other dragon pokemon knew where it was going. 

Ozone, however, did not.

The flight over the lush foest caused Sculyr to become board rather easily. Moving his position on Ozone, he now saw the horizon they were flying away from. With his eyes glowing he made sure the Shadow Fearrow wouldn't be following.

And it turned out, the bird pokemon went away from them.

It also stumped Sculyr.

With a sigh, he leaned gently against one of Ozone's head horns and closed his eyes slightly. He hadn't been able to get enough sleep for the past couple nights for reasons beyond him. Sculyr had almost fallen sleep when he heard Taylor speak. Quickly moving so Ozone could move without fear of him falling off, the flying snake dived down behind the Salamance.

It was then that he could see the flapping black tents of the Black Market.

His blue eyes narrowed with a slight deadly gleam.

When the Salamence landed a good mile away, Taylor dismounted immediately. She led the large creature over to a shallow stream and let him drink his fill. Once satisfied, she pat him on the neck and sent him into his ball. Taylor took her belt with the Pokeballs on it and slid it up under her shirt so it nestled on her torso. She tightened the strap so it would stay in place. After that, she slung her bag off of her shoulders and pushed around its contents. With a murmur of appease, she pulled out two long black cloaks. She handed one to Shayde and he slipped it over his head.

She glanced up at the sky after pulling her own over her head and waited for Ozone to land. Reason being for their mile away destination for landing was so no one would see the large creature landing on the sky. That would be asking for trouble.

Ozone curled up as he landed next to the Salamance. Resting its head on the ground, Sculyr jumped off the same time his backpack floated off of his back. The black Rayquaza gulped down several mouthfuls of water as Sculyr pulled out a folded peice of cloth from the backpack. When the pack was back on his own back, Sculyr pulled out Ozone's pokeball and recalled the shiny legendary before putting the yellow-and-black pokeball back into one of his sleeves.

Sculyr quickly unfolded the black cloth and pulled it around himself. The sleeves were the same size as his own and it had a deep cowl that hid both his face and his glowing blue eyes. The front had two attachements that looked like scarves. Wrapping them around his neck, the ends were long enough to cover the bright colours of his clothes.

With a smile hidden in the shadows of the hood, he glanced at Taylor and Shayde. "Ready?" he inquired.

Ozone landed next to them and Sculyr let the Legend drink his fill. Shayde watched the two, but the Lucario's mind was back to the first time they had travelled here. Pokemon battles were welcome here, but the trainers were ruthless. Though the task at hand was a bit more important, Shayde's eyes took a peculiar gleam at the thought of a Pokemon battle. He hadn't been in one for ages.

Taylor, sensing a shift in Shayde's emotions, let her gaze wander to her friend. The hoood of his cloak was not yet spread over his ears and face so she could read his emotions quite easily. Easily meaning he wasn't hiding them at all. A slow smirk spread across her face and she clasped the Lucario on her back. "Maybe we could loosen up a bit," she said with a quirky grin.

When Sculyr was ready, Taylor heard his inquiry. She nodded and pulled the hood of her cloak above her head, her face obscured by the shadows. Shayde pulled his hood up and the two began to trudge to the Black Market. The mile walk did not take long on their fit legs and the black tents that were set up seemingly grew in size as they approached.

Taylor entered the market swiftly, gray eyes alert to any suspicious movement. Of course, everyone here was suspicious. A burly man that was lazily tossing a plain red and white Pokeball in the air eyed the pair curiously. He bared his teeth, his lip curling up in a jagged smirk. Shayde's eyes widened to resemble large orbs as he surveyed the going-ons.

Sculyr waited until Taylor and Shayde were far enough ahead before walking the mile it took to get to the Black Market. He kept his back hunched over and his sleeves closed as he had his hands in them. Changing is gait so it looked like he was limping, he continued on his way. When he arrived, he half-stopped at the fringes as he glanced a the now huge black tents that looked like litle camp tents from a distance.

His head tilted to one side as he continued on his way. He could feel some gazes of mild curiousity as he pas-sed the entrances of tents, stopping only slightly to glance inside.

But what they didn't know is that Sculyr was using his gift to look at the auras of the Market. Black was the dominate colour. But it wasn't the black he was looking for. 

Frowning in the shadow of his hood, he continued to casually glance into tents.

They delved deeper into the black market which made the fringes of the area seem cheery. Whispered secrets and fretful mutterings were heard around every corner. Shayde seemed to shrink a little under the weight of the dark auras that surrounded him and Taylor calmly let her hand brush against his paw. The young Lucario drew his arms in closer to him and scented the air. He froze for a moment before pushing forward a bit ahead of Taylor. The girl followed.

Shayde flicked his gaze around the corners, following the auras and the scents. He smelled a Pokemon, but darkness tinged the being. He rounded another corner and stopped. The alleyway had let them to a huge open expanse of land. Chalk lines were drawn on the ground and trainers were at opposite ends of the many fields. There was only one word for what these people were doing.
Pokemon battles.

Shayde's eyes flickered and they began to glow with a purple hue. One of the Pokemon stood out above all others with a dark pulsating aura that surrounded it. The trainer was barking commands at the Ninetales and the being was attacking ruthlessly. It was getting hammered on by its opponent, but nothing seemed to stop it.

Shayde drew his hood down and calmed his gaze; they returned to their natural blue. He tugged softly on Taylor's arm and pointed at the Pokemon just as it knocked out its opponent with a powerful flamethrower. "Are you sure?" she asked him and he nodded; positive.

Battle strategies began to pan out in Taylor's mind and Shayde saw this quickly, fiery determination burning in those depths. The Lucario looked back at their partners and he pointed a black paw out toward the Ninetales, widening his eyes as he did, knowing the Psychic would understand.

Ooc; Pokemon Battles :D

Something broke away from his small, little quest. A noise. His glowing eyes intensified in the shadows of the deep cowl. A Pokemon battle.

Walking on, his changed his gait again to his normal one and straightened his spine so only his hands stayed in his sleeves. He stopped just when the chalk lines of an invented pokemon battle field were a few inches from his feet. Then, he glanced around and spotted Taylor and Shayde. Still wearing their black cloaks of deception. Though, the Lucario was pointing to something and Sculyr followed Shayde's paw to a Ninetales. Except the fox-like pokemon's aura was completely smothered out by black shadows of pure evil.

The blonde-haired Champeon supressed a shudder.

Looks like they found a Shadow Pokemon, but where did it come from?

Sculyr glanced around, watching the other battles that took place. It seemed that the Ninetales was the only Shadow Pokemon so far.
