Rielle smiled. "Thanks." She put the ring on her finger and examined it some more. Then she was drawn back into her memories.

She remembered when the love of her life had proposed, and given her that ring way back in the eighteen-hundreds. She happily accepted, and waited for the day to come. When the wedding day came, Rielle dressed in the whitest, most extravagant gown that you would ever see. The two got married, and went on their honeymoon to a nicer place in England. There, Rielle's husband confessed that he was a vampire. Rielle didn't care. No matter what that man was, she loved him. And then she asked him to turn her. He did as she asked. The two of them lived happily for several hundred years, and then the humans found out that Gabrielle's husband was a vampire. They killed him, and Rielle got away just in time.

Rielle sighed, looking at her ring. In the eighteen-hundreds, if you weren't engaged by the age of fifteen, you were considered an old maid.

"I know this is strange,but this bone is the history of my kind.This was made by the first,and everything that has happened.This bone is nearly Two million years old."He said,staring at the bone."Im the last of my kind,so I was entrusted with it to record the end."He said with a sad look on his face.

"Interesting," Rielle said, sighing. She smiled and said, "Would you like to hear the story of my ring. It's intriguing." She sat up and popped her neck.

"I would be glad to."He said,flipping over and looking down at her.

Gabrielle took in a deep breath.

"This was in the eighteen-hundreds. It was a cold night, and I was at a masquerade ball. I was invited by my childhood friend. The dress that I was wearing was a beautiful light blue, and it had ivory trim. My mask was also ivory. Our family was well off, so I was driven there by the most extravagant of chariots. My childhood friend and I got out, and went into the large ballroom. We danced for a few hours, and then he pulled me aside. He got down on one knee, and proposed. I gladly accepted. I still have the ring, as you can see. We were happily married, and went on our honeymoon to a beautiful city in England. He bought me everything I asked for." Rielle smiled. "He told me that he was a vampire, but it didn't phase me. I wanted to be with him forever, so I asked if he would turn me. He did as I asked, and turned me. We lived happily for several hundred years, and then..." Rielle fought back tears, but the last part wouldn't come out of her mouth.

"Humans?"Skorge said."I know what it is like.My love was killed by humans.I have never loved again.I used to be a diffrent person.I never killed,gutted or mutilated things.Until that night."He said."I then joined Dead Op Echo."He smiled,a tear falling down his face.

Rielle smiled, and swallowed the lump in her throat. "I don't feel bad towards the humans. I just think that they shouldn't kill something, just because they don't understand it. I used to be human." She sighed. "What is Dead Op Echo?"

"The most trained,dealy and strongest group of Soldiers in the universe.I trained for 800 years.I left Dead Op Echo when they became corupt.they began to kill innocent people,So I lashed out at out Leader.He was injured and later died.I became the most wanted creature on the list.I killed them all.I just returned from a fight when I ran into you." Skorge explained.He yawned and looked back at the small bone.His orange eyes became silver as he read it.

"Sounds like a lot of hard work. I don't do manual labor. That isn't a lady's job." Rielle sighed. "If it weren't for the heat due to global warming right now, I would still be dressed in formal ball gowns. They're quite beautiful." She smiled and jumped up to Skorge's branch. "However, since the humans have been killed off, the ozone layers have gone back to normal. The earth is slowly cooling down. That bone is pretty. I like the patterns." She tilted her head to the side to look at the writing on the bone a different way. There was no hope in reading it. To Gabrielle, it looked like a bunch of fancy scratches.

Skorge looked at the bone."This is the Language of Reptilia.It was the first language ever used to talk and write."He said."Global Warming and Humans killed off our kind until their were two of us left.Now,im the only one left."He said,looking at the vampire.He then realized how lucky he was that she wasnt feeding on him."It was worth it.I can use any weapon,fly any aircraft,and captian any vessel.I was taught to survive." He said.

Rielle couldn't hold it in. "Cool!" She was like a little kid again, the childishness shining through her voice. After all, she was still basically a child, considering her looks. "The only weapon that I know how to handle is a longsword. I used to work for blacksmiths a long time ago, after my husband died." She twirled a lock of hair around her index finger.

"My best weapon is my harpoon.I am sorry abou your husband.My eyes had pupils,but they were taken out as a part of the training.Sword play was a part,but I prefere this."He said,looking at the harpoon."My Father was a blacksmith.He died when I left Dead Op Echo.They murdered him right infront of me.I killed all but two of them."He said with a sigh.

Rielle nodded. "I'm sorry about your father. So you're the last reptillian, huh?" She looked down. She felt a bit special, being able to talk to the last of a species. She also knew how lonely Skorge must've been.

"Yes, as far as the Bone said."Skorge said."Tell me,What is it like being a Vampire?"He said,his eyes brighting up.He wasnt strong like a vampire.Or Immortal.He wondered what it would be like to like in a world above ground run by your own kind.

"It's..." Rielle thought. "It's very different. You have to feed on nothing but blood. Human food makes us sick. We can drink wine, and carbonated drinks, but we can't eat their food. It's quite hard when your favorite food is chocolate."

Skorge laughed."Even though it seems I eat anything,their are seven sacred animals I cannot eat or even touch."He said,looking at an amour plate.It had seven animals on it."Ive only seen one of these animals."He said,pointing at a carving.

"What animal?" She cocked her head to the side, much like a puppy would. She squinted her eyes at the carving, but she couldn't tell what on earth it was. She then turned her attention back to her ring, which was currently glittering in the sunlight.

"Our kind call them Kryll.Humans call them...somthing that starts with a B.They are flying mammals."He said,looking at her ring.It was beautiful."The human names for the others are the Snake,The Crocodile,The Crow,The Owl,The Hyena and the Panther."He said,point out each animal as he spoke."We have our own names for them.Now,tell me more about your race."He said with a smile.

Skorge shifted over.

Rielle rolled over, too. "Vampires have a very, very long history. They started off as fallen angels, who were exiled from heaven by God. Their punishment was to have to live off of others' life forces. Their blood. And if they were forced to live forever. They say that when every vampire dies, the soul of its angel is reincarnated into another vampire, who was just turned. My angel is Seraphiel, the angel of song." She put her ring back into her pocket. "My husband told me that when he heard me sing. He froze up when I sang, and finally uttered the word, 'Seraphiel'. I thought he was a bit crazy at first, but he explained it to me later."

"I would love to hear you sing.My kind have loud scream-roars that we used to comunitcate over long distances."He said,his eyes looking straight up."Reptilians worship our creators,the Riftworms And The Queen."He said."Two hundered years before I joined Dead Op Echo,I was a monk in our Rift Temple.The Three Riftworms made the Queen,and she gave our speices life."Skorge yawned.He hadnt slept in weeks.He had been on the run,then he had met her.Everything had happen to fast for him.
