{I'm going to crash after this, just a heads-up; 'cause of school and crap.
I don't understand why they even make us go this last week ughasdfghj.}

     Finn didn't even notice the waitress bring over their drinks; he was a bit too distracted waiting for Sera's answer. She didn't answer right away, but she definitely seemed very flustered. He immediately felt terrible. He prayed to God that this wouldn't happen, that she wouldn't get mad and upset, but of course, nothing could just work out the way he wanted it to.

     He wished he could just drop the entire conversation then and there or go back and erase what he said or something, but he knew that she would need an answer now.

     "I...um..." Silence for a moment. Why did he wanted to know? Was it really worth it? Making it all awkward between them so he could satisfy himself with an answer? "I don't know." What an impressive answer.

     More silence. "I guess...I guess I was just kind of wondering. I shouldn't have even brought it up. Sorry." He took it upon himself to shut up now and looked away from Sera.

     He took the glass of water from the middle of the table and wrapped his hands around it, then stared into the water. He didn't drink any, though. He was kind of just using the water as an excuse to not have to look at Sera.

Seraphiel was almost satisfied by how Finn was silent for a moment. Had she stunned him into silence? She sure hoped so. When one of them got angry, then the other got angry, and so far, that had never ended well. It either ended with a fight, which then led to making up, which then led to a kiss. Or it probably wouldn't end and they would just hate each other.

Her silvery eyes glanced down at her water as she took it in her hand and drank from the straw that was put in it. The action came naturally to her, somehow. She wasn't sure how it did, but it just did. She was finding out that she knew much more about basic need-to-know things of Earth.

But Finn spoke again, and Sera sighed, looking down at her hands, which were delicately holding the glass. She blinked a few times.

"Listen, Finn. Let's just forget about that." She really did want to forget about it. She guessed that kissing him would've been better than the very near kiss that they'd shared. So far, it had done nothing to keep her sanity, and caused her to get a little bit defensive when the subject was brought up.

"Okay?" She wasn't being commanding, but her tone firmly suggested that they both never mention it ever again.

     Finn had looked up from the water when Sera said his name. He suppressed a sigh of relief at her words; she was willing to let it go, so there wouldn't be any chance of a fight now. He was worried that she wouldn't drop it and would get all dramatic and prissy like she had the last time they had gotten into a fight.

     "Mmhmm. Amen." With this, he took his first drink of water in years. He hadn't remembered how good and refreshing water could taste although it was entirely tasteless. It was quite fascinating to him, actually.

     He set his glass down and then looked back down at his lap. The napkin was torn into at least seven different pieces and really should have just been thrown away, but it was distracting enough, so he continued to rip it into pieces until their was noting but a pile of shredded paper in his lap.

      He paused his shredding when he felt an uncomfortable gaze burn on his back. He looked up to see the waitress standing there, looking puzzled at his display. He gave a small sheepish smile and pushed the tiny pile of napkin to the side.

     The woman didn't question is antics, though, and instead just asked them what they wanted. Finn glanced towards Sera at this question and leaned forward slightly.

     "Do you want me to order for you?" he asked. He figured that she wouldn't really know what they had here or what foods tasted good, so he decided that he should probably order for her. He asked just in case she wanted to try and order herself, though.

{Hey, if you want to drop out of this RP, you can just tell me.
There seems to be a large gap (no pun intended) between all your posts and for some reason it feels like all your replies are forced?
I don't know. I'm just saying that if you aren't enjoying yourself, by all means feel free to quit. c:}

|| No. <3 I love this RP. Trust me, I'm not dropping it.

It's just that I have so many rp's going on right now holy crap, Sona.

I'm sorry if there's a delay between my posts. Once the roleplay picks up again, and more action occurs, I'll be replying like. Right away. Believe me. XD

And I have some old RP partners that are coming back. (Like CH and Vampy.)

So, yeah. Just lots of stuff.

And I'm having issues with my BF.....    ._.

But, yeah. I'll get to work on a reply right now for you. Plus, in order for action to pick back up, I need to post. ||

{The reason I brought this up is because you seemed to be in so many roleplays at the current time and I figured that it would probably be easier to just drop this one.
No need to rush anything; take your time. <3 I just wanted to know if it would be easier for you to focus on other roleplays. c:
It's nice to kow that you're still interested, though, because to be honest I'm in too many RPs as well (on other sites) and to be honest this is the only one that I actually enjoy replying to
EDIT: Sorry about your boyfriend. I wish I could say that I understood, but, the only "boyfriend" I've ever had was in fourth grade and the most "romantic" thing that ever happened between us was my first kiss in a slide...}

|| I actually don't have too many RP's on Res. I have waaaaayyyy too many on another site, though, but most of the posts that I write on there aren't as long as the ones that I do on Res. I wish that there were more literate rolelplayers in the world!!!

Ah, but I can understand how you wouldn't understand what I'm going through. In all honesty, I don't even understand what I'm going through in terms of my boyfriend. We've been happy so far, but about once a month, I've been getting really iffy about the whole thing. But, after about a week, the oddness subsides, and I'm back to liking him.

Also, he's just so innocent. He wouldn't hurt a fly. :c And I can't break up with him even if I wanted to. I'd rather have my own heart broken than to break someone else's. ||

Seraphiel was glad that Finn dropped the subject. She went back to her internal thoughts, thinking through her current situation. She felt almost... trapped in all of this. She was trapped on earth, that much she knew. While she loved learning about the planet, she wanted to go home, but she wasn't necessarily homesick. She just.... missed her Dad, and her Mom, though there was nothing that she could do about missing her mother.

She had been sent here to earth with a boy that she knew nothing about at first. He turned out to be nice, and Sera figured out that she was very clumsy when gravity was in effect. She had shared a kiss with him after kind of using him as a landing pad when she fell down the stairs. She'd had her first taste of food, and enjoyed it.

Then they'd ran into the demons. And she'd been a complete coward, using Finn as a shield. She had gotten money, as the humans called it, from an old marriage candidate that her parents had discussed when she was younger. And, oddly, she thought that Callum was attractive. But her feelings about Finn.... were complicated.

She couldn't tell whether they were positive or negative feelings. She couldn't tell if they were positive or negative because, just recently, he'd said that she'd made the same stupid mistake of almost kissing him, like he previously did with her. Except Finn didn't almost kiss her. He had completely kissed her. And Sera had liked it.

She just wanted to straighten out her own thoughts, which were broken when she heard Finn's voice calling her to attention.

"Um..." She paused. "Yeah, order for me, please, Finn." She swallowed a lump in her throat, taking another sip of water from her glass, enjoying how it felt in her mouth. It was cold, and refreshing- a relief from the heat outside, especially since she had to wear a hoodie to hide her wings, which, by the way, felt like they were being suffocated, thanks to her sitting in the stiff, wooden chair.

{"I wish there were more literate roleplayers in the world!!!"
^ this.
This is so very true.
And I hope things get better between you two. In a way, I understand. I know exactly how it feels to like someone on / off. Not with a boyfriend, but with similar acquaintances.}

      For quite a while, things between the two of them were very quiet. I wasn't necessarily awkward silence that enveloped them, but more like the kind of quietness one might experience in a library. It was quiet because people were thinking.

     Finn watched Sera out of the corner of his eye while she thought. He wasn't exactly sure why, but he knew she was thinking about something. Was she thinking about him? What was her opinion of him?

     Finn guess that Sera didn't think very highly of him. He had taken advantage of her and kissed her when she least expected at it, hit her, yelled at her when she tried to help him...the list went on and on. And the most embarassing part; this had all happened in two days, He truly was a terrible guardian, and he couldn't help but feel like she deserved a better angel to take care of her.

      He had time to truly think about things in the quietness. He pushed away thoughts about Sera and began to contemplate how his time in Earth was going to go. He assumed that he would have to go back after Sera was comfortable living on her own, and he was already dreading it. He was beginning to really like Hawaii as well as Sera, and leaving would prove difficult.

       The time for thinking was over when the waitress asked their order and all that. He looked down at the menu and flipped through it, only skimming over the content. He settled on something he figured Sera would like - a hamburger - and closed the menu. He ordered two for the both of them and turned back to his angel companion, not sure if he should try to make conversation and if he did what he would talk about.

Seraphiel was quiet for a long time. Internally, suddenly, she felt overwhelmed. She understood just how jumbled up her emotions were. She was still sad over her mother, terrified of the demons, and, now, she was terrified of herself. Her black wings hadn't been a real issue to think of lately, but, with the silence burning her mind, she knew that something wasn't quite right. And then there was Callum, and Finn, and just everyone in the world.

Being kept in her room for the majority of her life in heaven hadn't helped her at all. Sure, it had kept her safe from.... whatever she was being kept safe from, but she knew next to nothing about most common things. She was lost.

She depended solely on Finn, like a puppy.

And that was what made her more mad than anything. She didn't mind not being able to take care of herself in heaven. But being taken care of on earth by a man that she found attractive... That was a different matter. While it was flattering in some instances, she mostly found it embarrassing.

But then she noticed that Finn had ordered, and the longer she thought, the heavier her chest felt. Like she was going to drop through the earth, and into hell.

"What's your favorite food?" Seraphiel asked randomly, trying to break the silence. She looked over at Finn, leaning on the table, the depression becoming more evident in her eyes, placing her chin in the palms of her hands, elbows on the table. Maybe his favorite food would be something that she could one day try.

This was a pleasant surprise to wake up to!
Good to have you back. c:}

     Finn shifted in his seat in the uncomfortable silence. He wasn't used to be quiet when he was around Sera. She was usually pretty talkative and energetic, and he liked talking to her. Just sitting there and listening to nothing but the silence of the empty cafe was boring and unusual, to say the least. He wanted to talk to her again, but he also didn't want to disturb her if she happened to be thinking.

     So he stayed silent.

      In the quietness, he had time to wonder what she was thinking about. He could see the depression shining in her eyes, so he assumed that she was thinking about her mother, or her father that she had to leave behind, or how much she missed Heaven, or maybe all of the above. He could see just how upset she looked, and more than anything he just wanted to hug her and take away her pain.

     Thinking about Sera's depression made him feel depressed. He didn't have nearly as much to be depressed about, except for being stalked by demons and knowing he was going to face sudden death soon. Sure, that was a pretty depressing and dark cloud to have hanging over your head, but he was solely just depressed for Sera. He knew that she was going through a lot at the moment, and he just felt so bad for her.

     He looked up from his said when Sera asked him what his favorite food was. It was a random question, obviously just asked to help ease the silence, but he didn't mind. He'd take any excuse to talk to her again.

     "My favorite food?" he shrugged slightly. He didn't really remember liking any particular food. If he was remembering correctly, he liked most foods.

     "Fish," he told her after a few seconds of thinking. "It's an animal that you can eat," he explained, figuring that she probably didn't even know what a fish was.

|| I GOT MAH PUTER BACK. :DDDDD Acey and I are happily reunited. ||

Seraphiel was glad when Finn answered her, though she could tell a bit that he'd seen what lurked in her eyes. It was that weird sort of sadness. Now, Sera wasn't even sure if it was depression anymore. Maybe it was just longing for something that she couldn't have- Finn. She wasn't sure. Gosh, she just needed food. Being hungry made your thoughts all weird.

At his mention of people eating animals, she couldn't help but to put a hand over her mouth in surprise. She didn't know that people ate animals. It was almost scary to think about, but she guessed that God had put them on earth for people to eat them. After all, it seemed as if some animals didn't have emotions. Though, on the television, Sera had seen a twinkle in those big cat's eyes that they had some sort of intelligence; some train of thought.

"I didn't know that you could eat animals," she said brows raising. It wasn't an abomination to eat them, she guessed. But Sera didn't like to think of the prospect of killing the animal to eat it. But, now that it was dead, she might as well eat it. It was better to finish the job than to let what had been given to her go to waste.

"What sorts of foods have fish in them?" she asked, cocking her head to the side. "I'd like to try some," she said definitively.

|| LOL. I just had another idea to make this rp more interesting. Sera and/or Finn should accidentally get drunk. ||

{Pfft, who names their computer?

//does not have an iPad named Dex nope//
Just kidding. Congrats, hehe. c:
And about one of them getting drunk...yes. Just. Yes.
Which one of them, or both? Finn doesn't drink, but I could see him being like, "Just one for celebrity purposes! 8D" And then have it get out of hand.
One more question and then I'll shut up.
Where are they gonna get the alcohol?}

     Finn was slightly amused at Sera's surprised reaction after he told her that fish was an edible animal. It was pretty basic knowledge that many animals were eaten, but he supposed that she probably didn't know even basic knowledge such as that. It was easy to forget that she had never been to Earth.

     After seeing how surprised she was after learning that one could eat animals, he realized that it might not have been the smartest descision to order her food made from animal.

     "Well, yeah, you eat animals. That's pretty much the only reason we have certain animals." He reached across the table and slid Sera's napkin over to him, then found a pen someone had left behind and drew a sketchy and basic drawing of a fish. He held the napkin up to her and pointed to his drawing.

      "That's a fish." He added a fin to the drawing and held it up to her again. "And that is it's fin." He always had found it amusing that he was named after a fish's body part.

Seraphiel wasn't surprised that some animals were basically created to be eaten. God loved humans so much, it seemed, but, so far, they hadn't seemed like anything special. They'd seemed kind of disrespectful, in her opinion. But, nonetheless, there was something about them that God loved enough in the beginning, with Adam and Eve, to create animals for them to eat.

As Finn took her napkin and a pen, beginning to draw on it, she cocked her head, wondering what he was drawing. She was fascinated by how he moved the pen for a moment, and looked at the napkin when it was shown to her again. She could remember seeing something that looked like what was drawn on the napkin on television.

"So, that's a.... 'fish'." It was a statement. Not a question. She found it interesting that each animal had its own name, yet they were all considered animals. They seemed to be so different.

"Hey, Finn." She looked over at him. "Is it true that some humans keep animals as...." She thought a moment for the word. "Pets?" It seemed like watching animal planet had taught her a few new words. She'd seen people on there playing with animals that made loud noises, and had floppy ears. They ranged from being big to small, and from being hairless to covered in fur, or having white fur to black fur. Anything in-between was fair game.

{Hehe. It's okay. I'm practically the definition of procrastination.
If you want to time skip or something, just say the word. :o
This scene is getting a little hard to reply to.}

     Finn set the napkin down and nodded when Sera asked if what he had drawn was a fish. It wasn't really a question, but he provided a quick head nod anyway.

     He thought was a second when she asked about pets. It took him a minute, but he was quickly remembering what they were. He could very vaguely remember owning a dog a very long time ago, but he couldn't really even remember what the animal looked like.

     "Um...yeah. Pets are animals, but they are nicer than wild animals. People buy and sell them and stuff." Not the most imformative explaination, but he couldn't think of another way to explain "pets" to Sera.

    Right beside the fish he scribbled a rough drawing of a dog, the first animal kept as a pet that came to mind. He wasn't much of an artist, but his simple drawing showed the basic appearance of a dog.

     "This is a dog. A lot of people have these." He passed her napkin back over to her to let her look at it.

     While he was explaining to Sera what a dog was, he saw the waitress staring at them like they were crazy out of the corner of his eye. He figured that they were probably the talk of the smaller town now, being that odd couple that showed up out of no where. It probably didn't help that one of them basically had no idea what Earth was, either.

|| Can we just timeskip? I'm getting really bored with this scene... If we do timeskip, we should skip to later on that night, after something good happened, like they got their meals for free, for being customer #1000 or something.

I'm not sure if I told you where they'd find the wine, but the house that they're living in is actually quite old, but it's been restored and stuff and got new furniture and appliances and stuffs. So, they'll basically just find the wine in a cabinet.

And Finn will be the first to have a glass, since he actually knows what it is. And then Sera will want one. XD

And then they'll have another/too many and get drunk. ||

     Finn came up to the door of Sera and his house. He thought that they had a pretty nice evening just hanging out at the cafe, and getting their meal for free was definitely a pleasant surprise. They'd had a pretty intense fight earlier in the day, but both of them were over it now.

     He dug around in his hoodie pocket for a moment, searching for the keys to their house. He found them hidden beneath his wallet and used them to unlock the door to the house, then pushed the door open and held it open for Sera like he had done with pretty much every other door that day.

     "Go and do whatever. I'm going to look around a little. See if there's anything we missed," he told Sera, then left her in the doorway and headed into the kitchen. He didn't see anything new at first, but after a moment of examining the room, he spotted a cabinet he had yet to open. There were two cabinets, one where the Poptarts were discovered and one that looked like it hadn't been opened in ages.

     His curiosity got the best of him and he opened the cabinet. It was relatively empty, but there was a dark green bottle in the very back that caught his eye for whatever reason. He pulled it out and set it on the counter, then searched the bottle for a label.

     The label was faded, but in dark letters a singe word was just visible; "wine". He knew that wine was a form of alcohol, a rather dangerous substance that could really mess a person up if they were to drink too much of it.

    "Hey Sera! Come 'ere!" he called to her. In the very back of his mind he thought that it might not have been the most wise decision to show a bottle of alcohol to a very curious Sera, but as long as she didn't drink any,  everything would be fine.

Seraphiel had enjoyed the hamburger that had been served at the cafe. It had tasted pretty good, but it was a little.... what had someone else said? Greasy? Greasy. Yeah, the hamburger was a little 'greasy'. She hadn't eaten all of it anyways, because it made her stomach feel a little weird. Like a brick was sitting in it. But, as they had walked home, the feeling had dissipated.

After Finn had opened the door for her and told her to go on, and that he was going to search the house a little, she made her way up to her room- she'd claimed a room with a light color theme as her own. It had a large bed, and some other necessities. She hadn't gotten to look around very much when she heard her name being called by Finn.

Hesitantly and carefully, she made her way back down the stairs and into the kitchen. She had taken off her hoodie, so that her wings were visible again, and her feathers brushed against her shoulders. She looked at Finn as she came to the kitchen, curious as to why he would call her back down from her room.

"What is it?" She asked him, looking into his eyes, and then down at the bottle in his hand, curious about it. "What is that?" She pointed to the bottle, cocking her head to the side. It looked like something that you could drink, almost like water. While the bottle was dark, she knew that bottles didn't usually hold anything other than liquids.

"Is that water?"

     Finn looked up from the bottle long enough to see Sera coming down the stairs. He held the bottle up long enough for her to see it, then set it on the counter.

     "No. It's called wine." He sat on the counter beside the bottle of wine. "It's a form of alcohol." He glanced down at the bottle. Was this a really stupid idea? Should he have just left it in the cabinet? He had already decided that he was going to keep things under control, though. He couldn't let anything else go wrong.

      He uncorked the bottle and looked at the dark purplish liquid. He wondered for a second if it would still taste okay, but he figured it would. Wine was supposed to stay good even if it had been hidden away in a cabinet for God-knows-how-long.

     He managed to find a glass and poured just a bit into the bottom of it, just enough to make sure if still tasted okay. He just kind of looked at it for a minute. If he drank this, he would no longer be the "clean boy" that everyone knew him as. He knew how dirty he would feel if he drank it, but at the same time, he was so curious as to what it tasted like.

     So he drank it.

   He set the glass down and looked into the now-empty surface. His eyebrows furrowed together as he tried to decide what it tasted like. It was really different tasting, kind of like grape juice. He kind of liked it. He just shrugged as if to say, "Not bad."
